I dare say your sleep quality tips apply to anyone old enough or unlucky enough to be having sleep issues. Something that puts me to sleep is as follows. I made myself two hot packs that get heated in the microwave. These go on/under my feet and ankles. To make them I take two large, men's cotton diabetic socks. Then a liner made of large thin socks. Fill the liner sock about half full of something that holds the heat, like barley. Add the barley to the thin socks and tie the socks up with kitchen twine. Put these inside the cotton socks and close it all with twine. Heat for the proper time (3 minutes?) in the microwave. I put these hot packs at the foot of the bed. When my feet hit the heat my body says "fine, I'm going to sleep." No, I don't have Parkinson's but it could well work for them, especially if they have cold ankles. . . . . There is another remedy that Naturopaths have called "The Warming Sock Treatment." (that you would have to look up). Anything soothing is worth a try. This Naturopathic "Warming Sock Treatment" starts with COLD socks! Anyway, my friend is suffering so with his Parkinson's and I don't have anything to say about what he does... so I'm saying it here.

Hello! Thank you for the feedback. My best recommendation would be to establish a sound mobility routine that can be done daily to address the more rigid muscles. I'd also suggest adding regular aerobic exercise in the form of cycling (up right or recumbent) or treadmill training to properly warm the muscles up. We have many clients that experience rigidity which exacerbates FOG and they say if they do a short bout of cycling in the morning, it significantly helps! Good Parkinson exercises
Im looking for someone to help me learn exercises for a person who has lewy body dementia. My sister has it and her body is getting stiffer by the day. No nurses or doctors or rehab seems to know what to do or they just don't care.
