Anybody else here also "baby" their Pals? I never threaten, much less eat, my Pals. They all get along great. But of course if someone/something tries to invade our camp, then they ferociously attack it. 😂

I do remember, in the anime, that a group of them befriended a Scorbunny. I don't know why Poke fans keep saying Vulpix. I thought they knew all their Pokes. As for mascots, that could be debatable. I don't think that they officially have one, since there are so many Pals that could fit that role. I think that Chillet and Depresso has a tie in that main lead.

You're just saying regular animals with the same concept of a Pokémon that Pokémon. Vulpix and Foxparks are fire foxes, of course they'll look similar.

Gotta say my opinion of palworld - It is definitely a rep off of pokemon or should i say it was inspired by pokemon and was created base on combination of ideas from pokemon but no hate its good they made it abit different from just catching it with the casual regular nice game both palworld and pokemon.

If you're a fan of something, you'd normally say, "This doesn't look anything like the real thing! It's nothing alike! No sense of style!" when a knockoff appears. Picking up on similarities like color or the motif animal, without any real creativity in the design or features, and chuckling, "Oh, this looks so similar (lol)," "This is crazy (lol)," doesn't seem like something a true fan would do. Resorting to saying things like, "Officer, this one right here (lol)," without any clear reason is just a tasteless and childish meme.

I would say that when using the artstyle thats has been chosen. Considering the vast amount of pokémons and their impact. I bet its almost impossible to create a unique character that doesn't share some kind of resemblence. not always because they look similar, but because the artstyle is deeply connected to the pokémon franchise.

Grizzbolt pikachu? Nah, coloring maybe a little bit, everything else is Totoro. its inspiration can be clearly seen as coming from Studio Ghiblis anime.

See the problem here is that Pokemon itself doesn't have very original designs. It's the kind of stuff a kid doodling in a notebook at school would come up with a lot of the time. I'm sorry but "what if rat, but electric colors" is not even close to original or innovative. Pokemon's designs are so childishly basic that its nearly impossible to not "copy" them in some way. If Pikachu pulled out an MP7 I might take the copying thing more seriously, but I'm pretty sure I missed that episode if it ever happened.

What I like about the Pal designs is they look they could be from 1st to 3rd gen but that´s just our western minds. Saw a video of a japanese couple and the woman was suppose to tell Pal or Pokemon and quite quickly got a hang of it. She discribed the Pal designs as Pokemon with a touch of Digimon design, wasn´t that easy though since it looked like her boyfriend was showing redraws of both and not real images and some details from the real animations are lost in that.

Pokemon is SO fu***ng done. It need a Pokemon 2 desperately. The combat mechanics are a** and need a next gen upgrade and remake of the whole roster of bloated/ugly/unimaginable pokemon xD

What most people forget is that Pokémon themselves are based on a lot of living, mythical and religious creatures from around the world. They can't really do anything for Palworld using the likeness of said creatures themselves.

I love how pokemon fans froth at the mouth when they think Palworld copied pokemons. But then when you mention how pokemon ripped off Dragon Quest, they go oddly quiet.. Could it be that nintentards are just that dumb ? Naaah, couldnt be, right ? I mean surely they arent SO hecking stupid that they would think nintendo owns copyrights to any and all animals and objects and color patterns ? So for example if any game ever has a fox, that is fire type, they think its totally a rip off vulpix and thus cannot be allowed to exist ?!

I now have 160 hours in this game, I love it. Still called Foxparks Vulpix though 😂
