Borla + headers + H pipe is best, yeah. Catted keeps the BS down. Seems like for V6s the H pipe vs X pipe is a similar story. Though it'll sound even deeper/louder if you go without a crossover. There's one guy on here with BBK shorties and straight-pipe divorced duals and that car sounds like rolling fucking thunder. Awesome vid. I have cat delete / x pipe / muffler delete and it's so obnoxiously loud. Now I realize I have to have at least mufflers for it to be not too crazy loud but not too quiet at the same time. Thanks

Hey man, just seen your video. Great vid btw. Just a couple questions. I currently have roush CAI and roush axlebacks. I want my car to be louder and sound aggressive too. I'm definitely getting the off road h pipe and I'm just torn between BBK long tube headers and shorties. Which of the two will provide a louder aggressive sound?

Hey how's it going. I have a question.. I ended up getting the 5.0 engine & 6r80 transmission installed into my car. But for some reason, the car won't crank up from the ignition when I turn the key. Would you happen to know what the problem would be? I swapped in the 5.0: Engine harness, transmission harness, engine bay fusebox, ECM, cluster, OEM key and transceiver. That's about it so far, everything else on the car is still 3.7

Where'd you get those replacement tail lights?

I’m in middle of doing a swap just like this, I’m trying to figure out what exactly do I have to swap. I’ve already pulled the engine and put the roush 5.0 in so now all I have left is wiring. So my question is, is it plug and play or do I have to swap everything in the dash, not just the cluster.

My fav was definitely before the cat delete. If I were you, I'd look into a couple things. A custom J-pipe aka "Helmholtz resonator" setup to combat drone, high-flow cats to get the little more noise you seemed to want but cut down on rasp, and look into a high flow X-pipe such as a Carven, or a performance Y-pipe that goes up in size (this will have to be custom). Lastly, Varex makes some X-force active mufflers that can replace your Borla ones. With that you get loud AND quiet mode, so yeah. Also, I'd recommend dual 2.5" if you're sticking with duals, and if you go with the performance Y-pipe, that needs to go dual 2.5 into a single 3.5 in order to maintain the same overall flow. It'll be harder to find 3.5" resonators and mufflers (I think X-forces are more expensive past 3"), BUT you'll only need to buy one of each. Also, with the Y-pipe single thing, you could go wild and make a center exit dual or tri-tip exhaust if you wanna be different. Lastly, the J-pipe resonators do their best work the closer they're installed to the headers. You also want a nice angled offshoot into them, they won't work as good if they're 90-deg to the exhaust flow with no sweep. One more thing: You can still have your H or X pipe while also doing the 2-into-1 performance Y-pipe, just obviously have them ahead of the Y.

How did you get the ghost cam to work with cats?

Not sure if you still around but I started to develop a weird exhaust noise with atak, h pipe, and headers only at 800 rpm so first I'm going to add some resonators and if that doesn't resolve I'm gonna go back to X pipe.

Thit you finish the swap

I am swapping a new 3.7 into my 2017. I got the ground wire in the back, on the driver side and the one on the passenger side, under the motor mount. Any other ones you can think of, off the top of your head? I am taking my time. The new engine won’t be here for a few days. After this engine goes, I will most likely do the V8 swap. I am having fun with the 3.7 swap. The 5.0 swap looks like a fun challenge. 👌🏼 great vids!
