Pallet Scraps, Wooden Hinge, Nicest Jewelry Box I've Made?...A Daughters Keepsake.
I should have used a router! LOL. I made this jewelry box with a carved diamond pattern from pallet scraps and cut-offs laying around the shop. It turned out so much better than i imagined. I hope you enjoy the build.

Old Scraps and Hand Tools...This One Nearly Broke Me!
มุมมอง 12K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
I built a shoji style desk lamp from a 150 year old beam using only hand tools. No power tools were used for the build. I got the beams from a dear friend that got them out of his first home during a remodel. All of his children were born in the house. I originally built a lamp for him as he is interested in Japanese style woodworking and i knew the lamp would have a deeper meaning to him becau...
Record Cabinet From Pallets and Scrap! Rescued Timber Build
มุมมอง 21K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
I built a record cabinet for my daughter out of beat up pallets and leftover scraps from around the shop. I hope you enjoy watching as much as i enjoyed building it. I really like upcycling pallets and other old timber. It may not be much, but its a few less scraps in the dump. Welcome to SB Woodworks! I appreciate your time and want to give the best value in my projects and videos that i can. ...

Great job! Loved the build!
Thanks so much!
Excellent job.Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much. Appreciate ya!
Wow, you sir are a true craftsman. In todays ‘machine em and knock em out as quick as you can’ woodworking how refreshing it is to watch skilled hands at work. Thanks for sharing. Regards from the south of France.
Thanks so much. Appreciate your kind words.
Very nice work. I wasn't expecting you to create the diamond pattern using a chisel and it was refreshing to see.
@@GlassonDesignStudio Thank you! Appreciate it.
Nobody has to wonder how much you love your daughter. Your hands told the whole tale.
Thanks very much!
DUDE!!!! WOW!!!
@@philliprunge thanks so much!
Great content my friend. I've been watching the growth of your channel for awhile now. It's quickly becoming my favorite channel. I've been thinking about getting those Narex chisels but those Marples your using look pretty nice. Would you vouch for them?
@jeremywalker666 Hey, thanks so much Jeremy! As for the chisels, the narex are a better quality chisel. Ive had a set for years that I wore about an inch off of. For the price though, the marples have been excellent. Flatten the backs and hone your bevels and they hold an edge nicely. No complaints here. If you can find a set of old blue handle marples on market place or something even better. Best of luck to ya.
@@SBWoodworks750 I appreciate your insight. I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for the ol blue handles. Keep up the good work my friend
Amazing imagination and skills 😸
Absolutely beautiful build 😊
@andrewgrace4410 thanks Andrew!
You my dear sir, are a true craftsman. I watch a lot of woodworking shows because working with wood has been a passion to me for years. I'm 75 year old greatgrandma and have slowed down on my woodworking, so I watch the greats like yourself. I will be an avid fan from here on.
@pamallen2498 thank you so so much for the kind words Pam! I'm so glad you can continue to enjoy the craft, even if through others hands.
That looks brilliant she must love it
@@sandman2651Thank you! She was very excited.
Nothing on tv tonight? Who cares, the new SB Woodworks video is out! I really appreciate your work! Best regards from south of france !
@@sangredonquijote thanks so much!!
nice build bro, just a little tip for the people with headphones, try to lower the machine volumes, people get kinda angry bout that
Thanks brother! Yeah, I pulled a few clips down but haven't really thought about the headphones thing. Appreciate it and will keep it in mind in the future.

Lol! Thanks Joe.
Très beau travail ;Bravo👍
Thank you!
Very good the old way from the Republic of Ireland
Thanks so much Neville!
Fantastic work mate. I've gotten used to seeing people making similar lamps but they always seem to have the latest top of the lines tools to do the job. It was very refreshing to see someone make something so nice without all those things. Great work.
Thanks so much! I hope people see that you can still make cool stuff without spending the entire bank on tools! Does it take longer? Is it more challenging? Sure does and sure is, but the satisfaction at the end really is worth the trouble. Appreciate ya!
You have proven the point, especially with your last video. I just bought a Jorgesen block plane, a fraction of the cost of a high end plane and does a great job. You have a great channel started here keep up the good work, the new guys to the craft need to see your channel.
Thanks Randy. I love my Jorgensen #4. Sharpened the blade when I got it and works like a charm! Appreciate ya.
I just watched the long video. What an amazing job
Thanks so much Cole! Really appreciate it.
I don't like the style of the lamp. But i appreciate the dedication to work and also filming all this, incl edit and publicate it. It was relaxing and inspiring. Thanks so much.
Thanks for the kind words!
😁👏👍
Wow what a misleading title. No power tools ? Man you are a machine. And if that isn’t bad enough you proceed to complete the entire project “on” your table saw 😂. All kidding aside you do some amazing work. Very beautiful project. New sub here. Can’t wait to see what you do in the future
Yeah, i should probably build myself a proper work bench. lol. Thanks so much for the kind words Matthew!
SERIOUSLY amazing! 🙌🏽 Watched way more of this than I anticipated. lol Planning to make the boys watch the whole thing. 😂 It is gorgeous! Love it so much!! We will treasure it properly, don’t worry. 🫶🏼
Thanks so much Katie! Appreciate the kind words,

nice job
Thank You!
Outstanding piece. Enjoy watching you work. What kind of wood is it?
Thanks so much, Bobby! After a good bit of research, I believe it's a curly oak species.
Amazing. I can't imagine the patience you have to create something like this.
Thanks Jeff! A couple evenings of re-sawing by hand will make a guy question his sanity. lol I really do enjoy it though.
Awesome work ! 👍
Thank you! Appreciate that.
People like you show again and again that you don't need big machines to make beautiful things.
You certainly do not! Appreciate the kind words.
Beautiful, I love Japanese lamps. Great process building it❤
