I recorded this back in the day and just came across it in my mini-DV bin. It was a fun night and the first time the Grande Nationals played at The Magic Bag in Detroit. The audio is a bit peaked out from the PA system, but worth a watch if you are/were a Fags fan. Bad camera work, but it was the best I could do after a night of partying :) 1. Snap 2. Just playing around with a couple gears. The ignition was malfunctioning, not to mention bad shifting. Getting used to the hydraulic clutch and 5 speed. More to come with the new ignition.
Man, that blower is not strong enough maybe need a tool king 2.5 hp blower that one will inflate pretty fast
Yeah I’m about 2hp right now as he ages and gets leaky but still going 4 years later
How has this held up after a couple years?
Going on the 5th year. I had to step up the blower size to account for slightly leaky seams but so far so good. Santa has been through a lot from wind, rain, heavy snow and sub zero temps. I only run Santa for 2-3 weeks for 3-5 hours each night due to the loud blowers. I’m building hush boxes this year to reduce the noise.
Awesome...I got Santa showing up tomorrow. Should be interesting to see whose more surprised kids or the wife lol. Thanks for the response 🤙🏽
@@makaman31enjoy, the neighborhood absolutely loves it.
can you give me a link for the screen projector? I got mine that i need to still on the blower all the time
Great vid! Appreciate the breakdown. Do you think you could use this screen indoors? (Provided you have the space! lol) Am thinking for school showings in assembly hall. would you still need the anchors? Thanks!
Yes, you could definitely use indoors and not have to worry about using anchors. The only issue indoors would be the blower noise that could be a bit loud. I’ve been meaning to build some hush boxes for the blower and once I do, I’ll check back with you, but I’m not sure how soon I can get this done.
@@hagenmi1 you are a legend! Thank you! I'll be looking out for that hush box video.Subbed!
What speakers do you use on this?
I use two echo studios on my deck where we sit. I use a fire stick to tie everything together. You can certainly get creative with large monitor type of speakers like a mobile DJ would use and set up on either side of the screen but my neighbors would hate me, lol.
Legends say the 45 ft screen is still in his garage
How do remove the lines from the screen
It's a two piece screen so you can't remove the seam but it's almost unoticeable during a movie.
Great info! I just took delivery of one based on your longer review. One question...did you ever get the wrinkles out of the screen? Thoughts on a hair dryer or heat gun on low?
Thanks! I didn't end up using a heat source to get the wrinkles out. I know the manufacturer is out of China and they were saying that it's so hot there they don't have a wrinkle issue. It also doesn't help that the screen cloth is folded instead of rolled which creates the creases after being boxed for a length of time. One nice thing about this particular screen is that it could be inflated and left up for days which may help to get the wrinkles out.
What size is this?
20ft, but these screens are measured from extreme corner to extreme corner of the entire structure. I forget what the actual viewable size is. Just know it's a 16 x 10 aspect ratio.
I wonder about the sound of the blower while the movie playing.( not sure it wont be a problem..)
The sound of the blower is not distracting at all. Since the blower is behind the screen the screen actually slightly dampens the sound. I've never had anyone comment on the sound of the blower interfering with the movie. There are hush boxes out there you can buy to put the blower in to quiet them down. I thought about building my own custom hush box for fun made out of MDF and insulation. But the 750 W blower is not distracting at all. Over the weekend I put up the 45 foot screen which has a 1500 W blower which is nearly twice as loud as the 750 W blower and even that was not distracting. None of my guests made a comment on that blower noose either.
Where is the image quality, test etc etc?
At the end are static images with the projector that I have linked in the description that are example of the image quality with an epson projector used. I don't video live video as it doesn't give an accurate representation of the actual video quality. As I mentioned in the video the reflective quality of the screen is about 1.0 gain and the image is crisp and detailed for a large piece of white spandex material. I certainly wouldn't put the screen quality in any sort of videophile arena but it is perfectly acceptable for a backyard movie. Video quality is going to be 90% dependent on the projector that is used. The projector that I'm using is a decent projector in the $1500 range. I will say I have used some of the weather resistant vinyl screens and those tend to be wrinkled and don't give in my opinion the best quality but the material presented with this particular screen works great. You can see the seam running through the picture during bright images but to me is not distracting nor have any guests complained about it. On my next video for the 45ft screen I'll go into image more, thanks for the feedback!
What projector do you use
Hey Benny, the projector and link should be in the description.
What do you think about to put sandbags 25 lbs each one to hold the screen? Can it work? GREAT VIDEO!
wow they sound tighter than tour tite
WOW ~~!!! GOsh this reminds me of the old days back when music before covid
Looks awesome! Did you do a video for the 45 foot screen?
I must have a different model as my screen is attached. Nightmare to fold as well.
The 30’ airtight is legit big and heavy. I assume you used the pump to remove the remaining air? That would definitely be the first step then you would have to fold and roll. Check out rolling bounce houses videos. There are certain techniques that you can use with straps to roll heavy items like your screen pretty tight. The bounce house community definitely has some solutions for this. Otherwise you have one large heavy item there.
We just came across a similar Santa but have no instructions or a manual for it. How did you know how long to make your tie downs and where to put them?
th-cam.com/video/aJ2QNXFXHVo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LeDFVgWTBhC_mMkJ
Check my other video out. Length of line doesn’t matter as long as Santa is well secure at all four corners and the outside tie down points on the feet. It’s a bit of trial and error to get it right.
Also, check out my channel for the big Christmas tree as that will also show other vantage points on the tiedown points for big Santa.
Looks sharp. We just came across a similar Santa with no instructions or a manual. We can't figure out how long to make the tie downs. How did you know how long your tie downs should be and where to place them?
I'm going to get it but l'm concerned! I live in the windy city.... Chicago!!!
Wind is a real threat. I find for my set up the absolute maximum is 12 mph sustained winds, definitely nothing over 18 to 20 mph gusts. Monday night I had a stake get ripped out of the ground and it was only like a 10 mph breeze up to 19 mph gusts.
I will stake it with very long stakes, l do that with my cemetery entrance for Halloween and the entrance just shakes!!! Lol.
that is certainly a good start. For my giant inflatable outdoor screens, I have gone next level and use spiral anchors in the ground and carabiner clipsx on the ropes which makes it easy for set up and take down. When clipped in, it’s not going anywhere lol.
Thanks for the great video. Would a 2hp blower be too strong for a 24 foot screen?
Why thank you! Yeah even the 33ft is only rated for a 1hp blower (750 watts). If you have no choice you can run the 2hp blower with the vent zipper partially or mostly open. Also the 2hp blower will be loud.
@hagenmi1 thanks for the reply. I hadn't purchase it yet and so glad I heard from you. I'm going to get the one that you recommended. Thanks again.
@@DEREKBSHARP good news is that the screen should come with a blower. In the case of my 24 I believe the the blower shipped separately. However in your case the blower should ship with the screen.
@hagenmi1 I guess it won't hurt to have a back up blower on hand. I ordered the 750w blower so I will see how they stack up each other. What do you do for sound? I will start off using a sound bar but eventually want to get a speaker system.
@@DEREKBSHARP for sound I went with the echo studio pro paired with a fire stick streaming device. I would’ve loved to gone with large monitor speakers, but I have neighbors to consider. Check out the description above and there should be direct links to the gear. I considered getting another one but one seems to do the job pretty well. I have a dedicated theater room that’s full Dolby Atmos, so I didn’t really feel the need to go crazy with the outdoor sound.
I wish they had a scope version it will be a heard sale with most of the screen having gray bars on the top and bottom on most movies
I agree, the 16:10 aspect ratio is an interesting choice. I asked the manufacturer why not 16:9 and it was to offer a different option from the competition. One positive aspect of the 16:10 is there is droop in the center top on the 33ft and larger screen and the extra space takes up the slack without impacting the picture.
What’s the name of the website
These can be bought off Amazon, there is a link in the description. Otherwise here is the manufacturer website sewinfla.net
Where can I get a 50 foot screen tell me what website I have to go too
Sewinfla made a 45’ which I have. It used to be on Amazon. Sometimes it pops up but I’m not seeing it right now.

Where u get the 45 foot at

Go hard or go home lol
Quick question what kind of spotlight that is? I need one for my 25 foot Michael myers
First of all, you have a 25ft Michael Myers?!?!?!? Awesome! Check the out the description there should be a link.
@@hagenmi1 appreciate it thanks bro
I plan on having a backyard theater with a screen that big. The bad part is that our yard is a hill, and it would cost more just for the platform to keep the projector screen flat. My alternative would be 2 poles holding the screen straight up and may cost less. I'm not sure how big my projector can go, but it's rated at 5400 lumens, and it's for businesses and venues. Is there a way to measure out the size your projector can go before making a move on projector screen size?
Your lumens are more then enough for the 33ft screen. Yes you can use a projector calculator to figure out the best distance from the screen and if the projector is bight enough. 19fl of brightness at the screen is the standard for excellent brightness in the dark. www.projectorcentral.com/projection-calculator-pro.cfm In the calculator the aspect ratio for the screen is 16:10 and the horizontal measurement of the screen is about 22ft. The hill is a challenge and I’m not sure what the options are without seeing it. The screen though would have to have a flat and level surface.
What size is the actual screen? 100 inch or what?
Roughly 25ft
@@hagenmi1 the stand is 25 ft, not the screen itself. I was wondering the actual screen size.
@@billyrichardson2834sorry about that, I was thinking about the 33ft model that I also have a video on. The 24ft model has a viewable diagonal size of 19.4ft or 233.6in. Keep in mind the aspect ratio is 16:10 instead of the traditional 16:9 if you are doing projector calculations.
Wow bellissimo
How do you clean your screen ?
For the cloth screen, you wash on a wool or ultra gentle cycle. To dry, low heat or air dry. For the vinyl screen material, hose it off.

Great car......MOPAR OR NO CAR!!!!!!
1100 watts is what I'm using for the same screen and takes the bow out of the top of the screen.
Does the projector you linked in the description fill the screen/suffice? I want to buy a similar 33’ screen but can’t find a projector that will fill it
Yes 100%. Its a 16x10 projector. Just know that the projector will only display the native ratio of your source content.
I need to do outdoor cinema in desert of Dakhla. But there is a lot of wind. Did this screen work for me or no. Please answer me
I wouldn’t recommend over a 10 mph breeze.
USDA CERTIFIED 100% ROCK AND ROLL
We're a church and we were thinking of buying the 24-foot screen to host downtown movie nights in our town. We have a 6000 lumen projector and pretty serious speaker power, so we're not too worried about those things, but how big of an audience do you think the 24-foot screen would be good for? We are wanting it to work for at least a couple of hundred people in lawn chairs. Thanks.
Go big or go home. This screen would maybe do for about 20 people comfortably
Just saw this reply, 33ft is as small as i would go. You have more than enough lumens for either. I’m trying to get my video finished for the 45ft review, thats more than big enough for your needs but an absolute beast to set up without a small team and securing it down for wind is a challenge.
@@Ryan-fosho I bought this screen and our church has already done some outdoor movie nights. Yes, 6000 lumens is loads for this screen. But 20 people comfortably? We have seated over 200 people per viewing with this screen and we could easily host double that on the lawn with this. We have two 120w powered speakers, one on each side, and it looks and sounds amazing. If we ran subs, the neighbors would surely compain.
@@hagenmi1 Wind is a bit of a challenge even with the 24-foot screen. While the frame is fine with guy wires holding it, the white screen material bows in and out quite a bit in medium-light winds. I don't think this would be preventable with anything but a metal frame and a much more rigid screen material.
@@noelmuscutt2135 for sure, the screen is a no go for wind speeds above 11mph.
the gauge of your extension chord is well more than enough for that blower.
What year was that inflatable made?
2020
great video. What type of projector did you use for such a large screen?
Thanks! Im using an Epson Powerlite 2250U. It’s plenty bright enough.

Ok now how much was this?
There should be a link in the description. The price seems to fluctuate a bit so check the link. They now make even bigger ones which is insane as the 26ft tall model is huge and you have to watch wind speeds over 12mph.
Great detailed video Does the rope/cord come with the projector? How long is the rope/cord used to stake into the ground?
Hi Nyla, the kit comes with 4 ropes, which should around 25ft long. I don’t have an exact measurement. There was an error with my kit and my ropes were around 18ft long so I tied two together and bought two more ropes from Home Depot ($10?).
@@hagenmi1 Ok, that's very informative! I appreciate the video and your time. Have a Wonderful and Blessed week!
What projector are you using
A link is in the description.
Odd aspect ratio
16X10 is typically used for computer monitors. So it means you’re going to have some unused portion of vertical aspect of the screen for a typical movie. Now movies in a tall aspect ratio like iMAX or 1.35:1 look good but are rarely used. The Snyder cut of Justice League filled the entire vertical and looked awesome, but no other modern movie use that aspect ratio.I personally don’t mind the 16x10 as typically the inflation portion of the screen is bowed or uneven on the vertical and that unused portion of the image takes up that slack while filling the horizontal is always used fully without any issue.
What kind of projector do you use with this and is the video quality clear? I am wanting to get one for our outdoor movie nights but don't want to sacrifice viewing quality for a larger sized screen.
Hey Brent link to the projector that I use is in the description. At the end of the video there are still shots that give a pretty good representation of the video quality. I would say the video quality is excellent for an outdoor set up. It’s always hard to get a true lumen rating from manufacturers as they inflate their numbers but anything over 4500 lm would light up the screen nice and bright. My projector that I’m using is around 5000 lm.
Nice setup! We've been running a 20' Khomo Gear for the last couple summers, but watching your setup has me thinking about upgrading our screen. Not sure if you have ever thought about upgrading your speaker setup but I run the Altec Lansing Lightnings (now rebranded as Gemini Sound) with mine. I highly recommend, as long as you have neighbors that don't mind it getting a little loud. Can't wait to see your review on the 45' screen!
Thanks, I do have neighbors close by and for the most part the echo studio works just fine. I thought about getting another one for a bit more sound. I do have a dedicated home theater inside my house which is completely Dolby Atmos so if we want extreme sound we go with the inside theater. If I was out in the country away from other homes I would certainly entertain two large monitors for the sound. I do also like how the echo studios integrate wirelessly with the fire stick making it a quick set up and take down at the end the night.
@@hagenmi1 Do you think that an Optoma UHD38 (4000 lumens) will be bright enough to fill the screen?
@@Moondogg40 yes, that will look great after the sun goes down. Good gaming projector to boot.
@@hagenmi1 one more question, what size tote did you get to store the screen in? I want to make sure I buy one large enough.
@@Moondogg40 www.homedepot.com/p/Sterilite-160-Qt-Wheeled-Storage-Box-14674K02/309750700 I store the blower outside of the bin, but Home Depot has an even larger one that should fit the screen and blower. Its black and yellow.
Are you still going to make a video of the 45ft inflatable movie screen??
Yes 100%!!! I have the screen still in the box ready to be unboxed and tested. I recently installed more power outlets in my backyard to support the 45’. My goal is to test and post before the end of July. Stay tuned!
Hello how are you will a Vankyo V620 cover a 25ft inflatable screen? What are your thoughts?
Hello, it will not be bright enough. I recommend 2500 lumens at the min. 3200 lumens is a good brightness.
