My dad used to work there back in the day we use to use the back hallways to explore areas that were closed. The only thing i hated was the idea of a rat popping out and landing on my head lol

My first time here, after 20 minutes I heard foot steps on the broken glass below me and decided to leave. The second time, I got kicked out right as I walked in by 2 DPS guys. Obviously trip wired cameras in here.

I went into that Macy's one time, the Macy's itself was abandoned, but it was shortly before the whole mall closed. It was dusty, moldy, with a bit of decay, but not nearly like that. We were able to find a room in the downstairs portion that was in normal condition, and someone had set up a sleeping bag in there and got free electricity. I still have a couple miscellaneous items I brought back from there.

i still remember that one time around christmas, when i was like around 9 or 10, these two guys caused a rockus running around the mall & being chased by police bc they stole some jewelry; they even ran across a mall santa. it got us so shocked that we never visited that mall ever again. my mom only went to the store were they'd sell uniforms from time to time. but alas i still remember that fountain & the movie theater :p

This makes me sad. I worked at the Old Navy there for years in my 20s. It's surreal to see the whole mall in this state.

Wiiiiild. I grew up going to this mall back in the 80s and early 90s. There used to be an arcade right at the corner of the food court, near the service entrance that y'all explored. I'm a big old nerd, so I practically lived going between the arcade, the computer game store just down the hall, and the book store a bit down another hall. There's no real trace of any of them now, but I still remember about where they were. I swear those food court chairs can't have changed since the 80s. Just wild. Anyway, glad y'all didn't get hurt or in trouble. Thanks for posting this.

How’d you get in? That place is locked down like a fortress! That said, very nice video, I’d love to see inside myself. Interestingly enough, I drove through the area back in September and found that demolition hasn’t begun yet! They’re really taking their sweet time lol (Actually, I think they’re doing demo on the inside, just nothing’s happened on the outside yet. I went into the library to try and get a view inside but they unfortunately told me to leave…)

Awesome video bro! .. Hickory hallow mall or global is or rather was huge 🎉 unfortunately it's fate has been sealed and demolition has already started. I've seen someone been there 2 weeks ago and the rubble from the upper floors have been dumped to the lower floors. Some area weren't accessible due to the rubble while other areas had rubble as high as the second floor. It was extremely sad seeing the amount of water damage, almost looked as bad as the canton center. Very sad but this mall joins a long list of malls that's getting demolished this year 😢 . Awesome video again PS ,also having running power for all these years and during the clearing of the upper floors, the mall still had power was wild.

Wow I grew up in this church and have tons of memories there. It really was a marvelous place. I stopped going after high school in 2002 but it really used to be a cool building. All kinds of rooms and halls.
