You should note the blue colored stripe on the V blade indicates to set the thickness to the blue indicator on the dial on the mandoline. This sets the correct thickness for that small julienne blade. Otherwise it will not cut properly. There are other julienne blades you can purchase that will cut thicker julienne sizes for things like French fries. Those blades are color coded as well to the dial thickness selector on the mandoline. If the color on the V blade does not match the color on the thickness selector it will not cut properly.

Actually one of the easier mandolines to switch out. 🤷🏽‍♂️

The flaw here is clearly the need to handle the julienne blade. Unacceptable. It’s surprising how many mandolines require the blades to be handled in an unsafe manner, or to get too close to blades while performing some other operation. It’s becoming clearer to me that the original Swissmar Börner is the best choice.

Super helpful. I've used my mandolin a handful of times but only use the regular slicer. I have never switched the blades. I find it hard to figure how to put everything together after washing too. I wanted to make some sweet potato fries and so that's why I came looking for a video to show how to use the mandolin and put the blade in. I think you sound like you're teaching a kid a Little bit and that's fine because honestly with things like this I need to be instructed to like I'm a kid, I need detailed repetition for my 55 year old brain. 😂. Big thank you.

Is this good for slicing zucchini for fettuccine Alfredo pasta?

Brand new 12 piece POP container set and the one lid is not working. I can't get the button to stay down. I've taken it apart and put it back together per instructions and it's still not working properly. Hoping OXO will send me a replacement. Has anyone else had this problem?
