@@Paimonchuchuchuthank you so much bro got any tips for using the handbrake on the rx7? Everytime i pull it i just lose the rear end. I just started driving the rx7 with just over 600kms and my pb is 4:47.2 and watching your videos i can tell that im losing 5 seconds to you on the hairpins. Thanks for the setups again

@@msitiwa4272 in the fd, sometimes you can just shift to 1st gear instead of handbrake which is more stable but gives good rotation, also when using the handbrake you don't want to hold it, instead you can give it a little tap(quick release)

Oh and on gears 1&2 you can use it to turn the car around on hairpins

no, i moved the camera back so viewers can see the wheel more, also you want to avoid changing gears in the trailbraking phase so downshift early helps keeping the rotation consistent there

@@Paimonchuchuchu Is that because it's more difficult to heel toe or are you talking about inconsistencies in engine breaking from disengaging the clutch. So you play with your view like a hood view?

@@PROofHAPPYWHEELS yeah like you know how the 3rd gear in the fd is quite more understeery than the 2nd gear, you want to take the whole corner in the lowest gear as possible so you don't waste any rotation through out any point of the corner, i play in cockpit view but my seat in the game is more forward and lower fov because there is distance between me and the screen irl, i think most professional sim racers use something like that too

@@PROofHAPPYWHEELS don't think there are any "official laptime records accounts" for touge, i don't know how long have you been in the touge scene but overrevving small amounts like this is generally accepted in the community, I had a good start, wanted to play safe to i didn't risk it changing gears mid corner. you can decide whether a lap is valid or not to you and call whatever you like the true record but that might just create a gap between you and everyone else, and yeah i definitely gained like 10 seconds doing that ONE over rev in that ONE spot of the ENTIRE run, yeah maybe that's why i have the world record. Even with 100% damage turned on that wouldn't destroy the engine, test it yourself and lets not forget this is a G A M E. most of the time damage is turned off, so some people will even downshift from 5th/4th to 2nd/1st, maybe that's the real territory of what a reasonable person would call abuse, however i personally don't have a problem with them doing so, because the general format of touge time attack in assetto is all about sprints, you want to use everything the car gives you even if that means it will be harsh on the tyres and engine, extract 100% of the car even if it means the car will break down right after the finish line.

you can't really say you beat the other car if the other car is on your bumper the whole time even if you crossed the finish line first, i've just watched the video again, i don't think i did any defending because the other car is not close. you can also try downloading the evo and have some fun yourself ! i provided the download in the comments i think. the settings for the ai is 100% strength and 100% aggression

​@@sem4o017dw about him he's probably a 1200 irating player thinking he's clever Anyway thinking about it it might be faster not to heel and toe but at the same time the ABS on this triggers pretty early so maybe heel and toe lets you get out of ABS or lets you get better engine braking... Or just doesn't change anything at all

@@happykojot2258 if you don't heel and toe at least in my experience it can mess with the balance of the car making it understeer or oversteer unexpectedly or like it can also randomly make the tyres loose traction . Tbh I don't exactly remember what was happening but I remember that it just made cornering harder on some cars (altho what I stated up above should still be accurate). Also if you were driving irl you'd obviously also do it to reduce the stress on the drivetrain and also to not burn up friction plates on the clutch. I know one person on touge servers that doesn't rev-match and is faster than me but I guess he's developed his driving style around that maybe idk.

because i turned shadows off to improve fps performance
