the point was it was a video taken to demonstrate the engine to a potential buyer in Spain - who bought it after seeing the video!

My time at Bruche was initial training in 1987 before returning to the GMP training school at Sedgley Park and then on to division to complete 2 year’s probation on the street. During my service I attended Sedgley Park training school several times for various courses including effective public speaking and a tutor course which took me back to Bruche for a day visit during my 2 week training course to become a trainer. I then returned to Leigh where I started to cover trainer’s annual leave breaks while waiting for a vacancy.

@@PeterBerryRaz Hello Peter Your path may have well crossed with Dad's. Whilst at Sedgely he ran the inter division Quiz team. My brother and I were drafted in every Friday evening in Autumn to update the scoreboards. I have many fond memories of the time and we got on well with all the officers we came in to contact with. We even met James Anderton a few times. Dad finished his career at Moss Side as an Inspector. They were VERY interesting times. I must dig out his photo collection sometime and get uploaded. Hi. Sorry, but I’m unable to help with your request for photos of the front panel as my motor was sold 5 years ago. I made this video to demonstrate it to the buyer who was in Spain at the time. From memory the choke is a simple black pull/push knob on the left front, the throttle is via the sliding control on the front, marked with starting position, and the neutral/in gear lever is on the side. There is no reverse gear. A point worthy of note is, I used my engine as a motor on the dinghy tender to a larger cruiser, hanging from Davits on the stern. As such it was hardly ever used. Unfortunately, every time it was started after a long period of no use, the coolant water pump impeller would stick and chew up, and it was quite difficult to access for replacement.

Peter Berry hello peter I have the exact same one, I can’t find any intake vents and I can’t see where the water pumps from how do you know if it’s pumping water ok ?

Tone Knee Lee no, there is no reverse on this model. To get reverse you spin the engine 180 degrees. The lever is a neutral/in gear control. The throttle is the slider on the front.

I agree they sack over 20.000 police officers and now Johnson is promising to increase the police by 20.000, how can he increase the police as he will only be putting back near enough the same amount of 20.000 police officers sacked in the first place by the govt in the first place, so wheres the increase, and they cant say the 20.000 is the increase as they are only putting back what they wrongly took away to begin with what numpties they really are, no wonder theres a crime wave throughout the UK as there isn't enough police officers to cope with it,

Chris Hvid although I don’t own the engine anymore - this video was to demonstrate it to its buyer in Spain, yes it did have an anode fitted, bolted to the down shaft close to the (plastic) propellor. It was an excellent engine from 1984, and in new condition, never used, but regularly serviced as an Avon tender auxiliary on a large cruiser.

I was on High Common Lane today taking pictures of the Jumbo's going into land, with a Ryanair conducting a Touch And Go Excercise, I Can Remember When The RAF Tornado's, Domini And Red Arrow's Used To Do That Excercise, We Used To Break For Lunch At Austerfield, Then Go To High Common Lane, While Their Were Jet's Taking Off Each And Every Way, Without the fences and without the worries of Security Issues, I Loved It So Much Their

Hi Robert. There are plenty of new parts available for this on Ebay. I bought a full set of main blades a couple of weeks ago, and the same supplier has a larger tail rotor modification also available. PS I have now added a 50p piece using bluetack to the inside of the nose cone and the slight movement forward of the CofG has transformed the handling - much more stable.
