Great Comic,got it also in my collection. I really miss that style of Fantasy Armor Design,especially shown at the beginning with the other Barbarians. Bisley brought it on point there

This was dope. I've been fascinated with his art since I came across that spiral face chick. On Netflix there is a show called Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre that are animated versions of his stories. Odd stuff!

The first time I ever came across his work was THE ENIGMA OF AMIGARA FAULT and ever since then I was absolutely mesmerised by his stuff. He’s an absolute master of the impactful page turn. Getting to learn more about him through his feature on MANBEN was so fascinating. The fact he’s such a meek and humble man you’d never think in a million years that he could create such utter psychological abominations like this! Would love to see you guys review his book CAT DIARY which leans more into comedy and biography with his signature horror aesthetic work thrown in 🤘🖤

I'm a big fan of his work. What appeals to me is how he marries the body horror aspect to beauty. Great vid!

Junji is a master at what he does. It's funny because in every interview, he's very grounded and happy in stark contrast to his artwork. Also, that story with the spirals is called Uzumaki, and Adult Swim is releasing a series based on it in September. The whole thing is drawn and hatched in the exact style of the manga. I believe they pushed back the release to make sure they had enough time to animate everything just right. Y'all should look up the trailer - it looks really dope.

The Frazetta-esque John Carter painting even looked like Frazetta a little bit. I grew up watching the Batman cartoon, and will have it playing in the background when I draw sometimes. So this was a cool walk through. Thanks.

Pushead's influence is monumental. You pretty much summed it up with bringing up his work for Mountain Dew, Nike, and at this point Metallica and Thrasher. Dude was responsible for at least a few generations filling notebook paper with skulls instead of algebra. Didn't know this existed so thanks for making the video.

Hey Daniel great video there is hardly any videos Reviewing his books this is the first one I have seen and it's great because as you mentioned his stuff is really $$$ on the second hand market so this is a great way to be able to see it without selling a lung.hope you have received the other book from Astro zombies it has most of this stuff in it but in a much bigger format
