I used a bit too much of the terradon Turquoise in my mix with contrast (I think) But didn’t realise until after painting the whole dragon. The results was a way to blue dragon. Would I have to repaint the whole thing or do you have a tip to brighten it up a bit? I’m quite new to painting, this guide was brilliant 😊

I do the same, except instead of aggrax I use the actual space wolves contrast for the wash/recesses. It's about all its good for since as an actual contrast paint it's not that great, but for recesses its pretty decent. Then I dry brush fenrisian grey instead of a russ grey drybrush.

not gonna lie I've been wanting to get into miniature wargames (Armada and WH40K in particular). I decided I wanted a custom space marine company painted in the fashion of Stormtroopers, so this video is going to come in handy when I finally get my hands on some of them. :D

Is basing in gold easier than basing in blue? I figured that the gold bits being raised up higher, basing blue and painting gold would be easier

This is great stuff. I was using the alchemist contrast stuff without the medium. I guess that is why he turned out so grey. What does the contrast media do?

What would be the best paint to use for skulls and such?

To make it a bit darker,I used first Abaddon Black Spray and the Caliban Green,and at least the Greenskin like you suggested, from Army Painter. The model looked darker but as not as Dark Angel. It worked well. Greenskin and Nuln Oil combined are good as you have shown in the video,but they are still too shiny. With the Caliban Green before the Greenskin,the armor is perfect.

Nice one. I'm tired of contrast paint videos, which are ok, but I want to see real painting.

I did the same but i use nazdreg yellow for gold , armageddon dust for base, and zandri dust for tabard , wraithbone+ skeleton horde for bones. Nice video dude easy way to get a good table top marine

For those of us watching this later : It's worth noting some of these rules and systems have changed fundamentally; notably, the Panic system was reworked (the same year this video came out, even, lol) and now units that are Panicked DO actually lose all their actions, then try to dump Suppression tokens equal to its Courage (functionally trying to all its actions to rally) rather than the fleeing mechanic. This was changed for... obvious reasons.

🎉 this guy is the best my sons and I (between 2 6 year olds and a 8 year old) have been starting into TCG's and then moved onto board games then we were introduced to marvel united by accident at a hobby store when my youngest 4 year old spotted it when we were browsing TCG cards and basically all the boys and I loved having the miniatures in a game totally changed our game nights. So being that we loved those we started researching into other miniature games and have settled on star wars legion since we all know and love starwars anyways. You could imagine our shock when we opened both of the core sets and all the pieces and the rule book while it was detailed made no sense to us as we are very new to this style of play but you sir have saved this game from a life on the shelf and kept the boys entertained enough to watch almost the whole video with me!

i have a white scar primer can it work or im better with wraithbone primer?

These look great! In your description it says "Paints Used:" but then it's blank, is there any way this could be filled in? I'd love to paint mine in a very similar way.
