Happy Holidays! Happy New year. Ugh crawl spaces are brutal…we have one. There is always something lurking down there lol. So you don’t know what it is? Maybe a gopher or groundhog? Idk.Hopefully you scared it off. We have groundhogs or marmots hanging out under a storage barn and we had to evict it

Hope you had a Merry Christmas. I suggest tethering the traps. I used the bigfoot wooden 401 rat traps they would get caught by the tail etc and run off with them. So I took twine and screwed it into the trap and tethered it to a pipe. SNAP the critters are gone for good now.

The worst crawl space I've been in had about seven dead rats in it. Not a pretty sight! 👎🤮

We had a possum under our old house so the next house will be on a slab so we don't have to worry about that anymore. Hopefully whatever you have is gone. Take care my friends.

This is a good example of the need for Bigger sealed crawl spaces. Because when the time comes to go under there even one time in the time you own the place.,it would be nice to have the space and hight with proper lighting just makes sense.,before you build add that extra space. Happy Holidays

Very well could be a rat. They are smart and very cautious of new things. I had two swamp rats that always avoided/escaped those traps. I caught one with one of those sticky traps.

My guess is your trap my not be big enough or powerful enough. I have leg traps that i only pull out in extreme situations and sometimes they trap the animal, but it still gets out. I usually set about five in a circle so that when the first one is set off, the animal panic randomly ateps in the others. I do not recommend these style traps with dogs or cats around as pets. If it is a rat, you should get the poison with the poison housing so your dogs don't get it.
