Not me being today years old finding this out. JOY has been one of my fav songs since I first heard it back in 94. It now makes all the sense in the world. MJ wrote this and it always sounded like him to me. Now i have this version too. YES!! God is good to me!!
*Mike was killing this song, but I can hear it in his voice. He wasn’t into this, as much as he was into most of his other songs. That’s probably why he passed on this hit.*
Why am i not surprised?! It instantly sounds like an MJ song! Of course he wrote it! The man was a musical genius!! He wasn't called THE KING of pop for no reason. RIP MICHAEL!!! Long live THE KING the Myth. The FREAKING LEGEND

I like how this sounds, I really do. But somebody said “this is not Michael” and they’re right. Strange how I can’t find the comment💀 Nowhere near. He NEVER sang this song, he only co-wrote it. Everyone who’s dickeating or believing it’s him truly needs a hug.
I don't know if this version of the song is actually Michael, but Teddy Riley, the producer of the song, did confirm that Michael recorded Joy first. Teddy Riley was one of the producers on Michael Jackson's Dangerous album. Teddy produced Keep it in the Closet, Jam, Remember the Time (and other songs). Teddy also produced Joy for Michael. Michael DID SING and record Joy but decided to not put it on the album...this is why Blackstreet ended up doing the song instead.
This was my wedding song.... It had so much meaning... I always new Michael did it... Now it is dead in my heart.... Betrayal's a mother F@#$&!!!!!!!! BAD GUY FOR LIFE...
This track was tailor made for Michael Jackson....R.i.p brother! And to all the people that was involved in trying to demonize his characte the way that they did they will all pay dearly in the after life....
Well if you listen closely, Michael was "inspired" to write this from a song released by the Jacksons, and written by Gamble and Huff. "Show You the Way to Go" is a song written by Gamble and Huff and recorded by the Jacksons for their 1976 CBS debut album, The Jacksons. Released as a single in early 1977. Go listen....side eyes MJ.
If you found this in 2025, hit that like button. 😊😊
Blackstreet did Magic on MJ's song. I can't forget the day 💫💫💫💫💫
Nope
I knew this song had an MJ vibe to it. I think he rejected it because it wasn't fitting his pop feel even though it sounded good,

Amazing❤
I got chills listening to this. The good kind.
I thought this song belonged to Teddy Riley's group, Blackstreet? Did he give it to them? I know Michael and Teddy were very close.
The chorus brought tears to my eyes.
I thought he wrote the song for them🤔🤔
This was definitely Michael’s song for sure. You can feel the emotion in every word.

This song makes me want call my husband and suggest for him to come back home so we can give each other "joy, joy, joy"😂
Blackstreet did this song justice.

@@joannasuwara1784 Teddy Riley (who helped write this jam) and Backstreet group.
Yes, they did!!
Yooo this is so wild I def heard this assuming I’ve always heard this until remembering the original . This is amazing , wish he kept it highkey
Are we 100% sure that this is actually Michael? Because, certain points it sounds like him, but other points it sounds like an impersonator to me

you know your stuff
❤
Teddy Riley did MJ wrong with this song, apparently he said it wasn't right for MJ and then recorded it with Blackstreet...that's not a friend
Not mj at all
This beat sounds like a combination of the original P.Y.T demo, Break Of Dawn from Invincible and "Best Of Love" by Michael Bolton
the original PYT is the first thing that came to mind, i wonder if it was intentional
@@john-ut9wp it's like "Bah Bah Black Sheep", ABC and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star " 😆
I love this
male sterilization vasectomy
