I don't know if this comment will be red since the video was sometime ago but this group has been together since 1997 and that's just when they left school where they all sing together and started their own singing group. Layne is an extremely skilled beatboxer and does all of his work himself. He and a former member on pattycake productions in Florida where many of their songs are now being produced out of. The entire group lives and works there in Florida Jay none is a former member who left to go to the Navy which is why you will see him in quite a few of the songs they do. And it was recently found that they have been nominated for a Grammy the group so I'm totally excited about that. Geoff is there bass singer and he has actually trained his voice over the last 20 years to be able to reach those subharmonics. Ellie who is the the Titanic actually spent a couple years with a band and that's where he gets his his ability to belt high tenor tones out with the grits.

I know people give him shit about the genre and his different vocals and songs. He pretty much uses the haters in his songs, which gets them back and makes him money. It's brilliant!! Someone asked him if country music was next. What happened? All my Life happened. He doesn't take anyone's crap and he speaks his mind, especially in songs. That's one reason why his fans love him. All of these new videos this year, except all my life, are part of a saga. It's a storyline. His videos are always great, because he puts his own money from profits into them too.

Personally, I would ride into battle listening to this song.

I found out about Electric Callboy the same way you did bye watching take the tank with his Vlogs. And I became very interested in what the songs were really like because again as you did I heard parts of the songs and they sounded interesting so I had to check into itand I don’t do reactions, but I did watch all their videos that I could find and I’ve been an Electric Callboy fan ever since.

11:30 you are so right about the formula (with some minor deviations) but also so right about…for some reason I just don’t care a bit! I suppose because they execute it to perfection and also the sound palette they are using within that formula is itself pretty unique - and varies between songs; from retro synths in Hypa Hypa to Hardbass in Spaceman to Acid Bass in Parasite for example. Also do check out Mindreader and Parasite to see how their darker stuff at present sounds:) Fun to check this out with you!

Yeah they have older very serious and intense songs like Crystals for example, but they also still have them on Tekkno! - try Mindreader or Parasite if you want to :)

Their older stuff is not bad at all, but I would say the problem was that it was a type of music which many bands did. They found their niche with Nico, where they are pretty much alone at the moment.

As a former metal drummer, you should react to "Electric Callboy - DRUM SOLO / KURWA SONG - LIVE in Cologne ...". This is Davids drum song they've added for their shows (non-festival / own headliner shows). Almost no reactor does - but a former drummer should do this. It's not just a drum solo, it's also embedded in EDM.

Yes, your information is correct. "Hypa Hypa" and "Hate/Love" were the first songs after Nico joined the band.

I would advise reading over the official lyrics, as there’s a few wrong in this video and a lot of context and meaning gets lost. Great reaction though, and I love your interpretations always!

Strongly recommend against lyric videos for Sleep Token. A lot were made right after the album came out, and there's a lot of incorrect lyrics.

BABYMETAL is a Japanese kawaii (cute) metal group (a metal subgenre that they created) that formed in 2010 when the 3 girls were 11-12 years old (yes, they were very young), and since then have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Download, Sonisphere, Glastonbury, etc), US, and Asia. They are the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley arena in the UK. Also, 20+ awards have been given to them. They have 60+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. By the way, they have some really great heavy songs too, and I hope you like guitar solos, as well as bass and drum solos, like I do, because they have them too. EC put on a great show live, saw them at Sonic Temple this past May and are probably the best band I've seen so far. That may change though when I see Babymetal live come November. For suggestions: EC: Hypa Hypa or Pump It Babymetal: Road of Resistance - Live in Japan, Monochrome Live at PIA Arena or Piano version on the first take (Even better, do a double reaction on the versions) or Headbanger live @ Legend 1997 (Legend 1997 is named after the year Su-Metal, the lead vocalist was born, not the year the concert takes place)

This is on the lighter side for Babymetal. Their songs are generally (not all) heavier than this. As others have stated, you would need to listen to more than just one Babymetal song, as they do have diverse sounds.

Nice one, this is an amazing 50/50 collab. I hope you check out Babymetal, they do have some really sick drum parts in their music. Of course, Babymetal’s sound is so varied, it’ll be hard to categorize them “in a box”. Also, Momometal growls in this song too. Give it another listen, see if you can catch it! 🤘🦊

If you are new to babymetal, similar to me I’d recommend listening to their other recent collab song called “leave it all behind” and also “metali” those two are more inline with their performance in Ratatata in my opinion and they appearing to be maturing in their sound with the new member momo. I am excited to see what they do next and both groups gained a fan with me for this song
