When I was still in elementary school around 1986-1990, the first time I heard this song was from one of my grandmother's Christmas album cassettes. What made this version very special and memorable for me was that (if I remember correctly) it was sung by Sandy Patty. I tried to find her album containing this specific version but failed. Has anyone heard this version and on which album?

I remember my son had cancer and the Lord change the way I prayed for him some times it's not always easy I had rebuke but my Lord never let me deter I would pray Lord you know my son better than I do When you save him if he's not strong enough to serve please don't let me be selfish to want keep him here and him die and go to hell praise the Lord he is in heaven today

When I first heard the REJOICE WITH EXCEEDING GREAT JOY album back around 1980, this song moved me to tears, and still does! What a God is the Lord to make a way for us to find the way back to Him, all by free will and in the greatest love. It's not JESUS ONLY, but rather JESUS EVERYTHING! look at all the waste of money for all that stuff to make the tv look good. to me this money could be spent on feeding starving children and homeless people at Christmas time. jesus is going to really have a hard time with those that waste money on these giant churches where pastors have private jets big mansions fancy cars diamond rings and all the gaudy jewelry all this stuff is not necessary
