Vlog #3 Lots of Screwing Around this Week.
While working on the carport and deck this week, and almost getting ready to finally waterproof both, I got the chance to do some more fun “work” this week. We grabbed some big timbers from the sawmill, picked elderberries, demo’d an old cabin (or at least knocked it down), picked some elderberries and got up to my buddies for some beautiful oak logs we will get on the saw mill in the coming weeks.

When we purchased this home, built in 1911, we knew it would require a lot of deferred tree maintenance, this video was shot over the course of a week. I got 10 free doors on Nextdoor, they were as true and straight as the day they were made nearly 100 years ago. The doors were a challenge to process and glue up, but the end result slab was worth the work. Didn't sending painted wood through the planer gunk up the blades?
I put on old blades to make the first pass, yes, paint kills the blades.
That paint has lead in it, guaranteed. So killing the blades is the minor concern. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
