How do I find these tournaments that are shoving discs down your throat? Asking for an amateur... 👀
Some tournaments provide more “bang for your buck” than others. Ask players in your area what tournaments provide the best payout. Good luck on winning lots of plastic!

People never bring up the easy forehand rollers. The thing i awe people with are the rollers. Very predictable question mark roll. Best disc i have in the bag and i bought it by accident when i was first starting. One of my favorite questions to ask myself..." Would I've kept playing had I not purchased a zone?" "Crystal Flex" for me. 172g-175g.
I love zones
They are so dependable!
I like the zone for more overstable situations. I like Innova Rat for straight throws, it's like zone but much straighter, at least in star plastic when it wears down a bit.
Beginner: thousands of discs… want them all😅 I have like 35 discs now and it is good for training. Often staying at a hole and just throw 8 drivers again and again to practice. But now how to get a first tournament go to bag???
See here’s the thing I’ve been playing for a little less than a year I picked up the Zeus and I absolutely love it. Everyone’s telling me to use a different driver for a starting but then they see me throw it in there like wow you’re actually really good with this so all in all I feel like if you’re a beginner and you get used to that disc all is well 😂

I've switched to mainly discraft. Couldn't resist after buying a Zeus. I also bag the scorch hades heat vulture meteor machete banger gt Luna and zone now.
I'm iffy on the scorch and Hades. Both were not what I was expecting. But I can use the scorch on flat 4 hands. Only way it flys consistent.

@@MichaelMayoDiscGolf scorch is domey and stiff but beautiful swirly Carolina blue. If I give it any Annie it turns into a roller almost but if I give it any hyzer it won't even get back to flat also has weird hard glidey finish. Hades might flip might not or might turn over Ride. Good thrown flat and high glides on Annie way right. So I bought a esp heat definitely like it better for the spike hyzer low release. Turns over a little but fights out. 400ft.

Hey Curtis! I’m hopefully close to uploading again! I had a bad ankle break this spring that has kept me down for a long time.. I was able to play my first round of 18 holes a few days ago! I’m excited to start getting back into the swing of things again! Thanks for asking!
In terms of versatility the zone is the greatest disc of all time IMO. Im a forehand player, and I can use it on any and every angle/shot up to 300 feet.

Don't over teach is the best of the list. I always invite friends to play and say I'll only give comments if they ask for them. I used to be overbearing and probably ruined a few people for disc golf.

I am a new player and my friend borrowed me disc disc for a hole because i needed to throw a forehand around a tree from left to right. I could not see the basket, so i threw a forehand hyzer and it kept the angle i threw it at the entire way, left of the tree, disappered behind it to the right, and then i heard the rattling of the chains. Felt so good, and the shot was about 40m (130 feet), best shot i have so far in my 20 rounds or so. Just got my own in the mail today! Great approach disc!

I love this disc. It has improved my distance and game big time.
It's such a great disc. It just holds the line that you put it on. The Buzzz is a great check for angle control!
Hopefully you can compare it to the Predator.
The Captain’s Raptor is a bit more stable than the Predator. The moment that the Captain’s Raptor starts to break is sooner than the Predator. It’s also a bit more narrow than the Predator. Hope this helps!

Do you not recommend putting with this disc?
The Zone wouldn’t be my first recommendation for a putting disc. Mainly do to the fact that it’s overstability won’t allow for controllable disc angles for long putts. The disc would hyzer out, land on a harsh angle, and tend to roll further away from the basket than necessary. A less stable putter will maintain its flight angle for a longer period of time and you can putt longer distances without as much effort. Hope this helps!

I would compare this disc to a beat in Innova Champion Thunderbird. Love it!!

I finally threw a brand new Zeus yesterday and it flys very nice and new esp plastic felt much grippier for my dry farmer hand's. It flys straight but on a turn angle compared to my destroyer flys flat both have good stable finish. Both were flat 175gram. Also felt like the weight was more in the rim on the Zeus which I like. Still like my KRAIT the Best it flys Dead straight same distance
The Krait is an underrated disc! It has been overshadowed by the Wraith, but is still really good!
@@MichaelMayoDiscGolf haven't threw the wraith yet either. When I bought my krait it filled that spot perfect for me just no back up to be found. Zeus flew very similar. Closest I've seen. It is next on my disc list 4 Sure 😃.

US, OS and Neutral in every category is my go to tactic. But I also have a couple utility discs (such as mutant and firebird) Also two apporach discs (k1 soft and hard berg ftw!) And if a couple slots are left (meaning you have more space) just put a couple fun discs in there! Cuz why not? Haha
