Thanks for doing the hard job.....and investing the time to show us....
You are welcome and thanks for watching and commenting!
Love the energy, the name of the channel and teaching me how to do it myself!
Cyra, thanks for watching and glad the video helped. Since we share a last name, I checked out your channel and subscribed. I hope your Bronco keeps taking you on awesome adventures!
You were right, they wanted $100 to R & R this for me.. Thanks for the DIY!
Terence, thanks for watching and thanks for the subscription! Glad we could save a couple of bucks.
14 minute video with less than 2 minutes of useful content. Why do some people like to hear themselves talk so much?
Cliff, thanks for watching. I know there is some extra talk in there. Hopefully the extra helps someone that has never done an oil change, and hopefully the 2 minutes helped an experienced oil changer.
I'm changing my Girls Oil tomorrow... It's my first time on the Enclave ! No Lie,, I Love Your Happiness and Kool Energy ! 💯👍🏾👍🏾
Slim, thanks for watching. I hope that the Enclave oil change goes smooth. Double check, my oil quantity. Video only shows 5 quarts, pretty sure it is 6. Let me know how it goes and thanks for the sub!
The best way to replace the engine, transmission, and power steering cooler lines is to buy a new set of each one and have a speed shop convert 95% of the hard lines to braided hose lines that you can bend anyway you want. Simple
Braided lines, that would have been way easier. Great idea. Thanks for watching.
It gets complicated and it's a mess when you don't have a clue how to do maintenance on your vehicles I have a Chevy 2500 HD and I never spill a drop on the floor Just by looking at this guy his no mechanic
Luis, thanks for watching. Obviously not a real mechanic, never claimed to be one. I say in many of my videos that I am not an expert, just trying to figure stuff out. The point of the channel is to encourage regular folks, non mechanics, to just try to maintain their stuff. When we fail we can bring it to an expert for some help.
Removing all that just to pull out the battery. Just yank that son of a B out and save yourself time
If you can just yank it out, why'd you watch the video?
@ I actually managed to wiggle it out. Once I saw you had to remove the air filter and all I cut the video
Thanks buddy. You are a life saver. That don't fall down all the way doohickey had me thinking that's all she had to go and I didn't wanna break her. Now I'm going all the way in!
Captain, thanks for watching. This is the best kind of comment to get. You let me know the video helped and shared the official terminology for the fall down all the way doohickey. Haha.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it.
Nice Beard
Thank you! I hope that you noticed and appreciated the excellent safety consideration with the ear protection. Thanks for watching.
Nice work!
Thanks. I think I had you beat with snow on the ground the day of this video. I hope you get a bunch soon.
@@fixitwithbeer2435 Heading up the Gunflint tomorrow. They have a little more snow than we do.
I hope it is a good trip. Send me a preview pic.
You unplugged and replugged the positive and negative terminals in the exact wrong order. It should be: Taking off: Negative then positive Putting on: Positive then Negative If the negative terminal is connected to the battery, all the metal in the car effectively functions as the negative terminal of the battery. That means if the red touches any metal in the car while the negative terminal is connected, it causes a short circuit. That’s why you saw the sparks when reconnecting the terminals.
I had my physics reversed, not the first time or the last. Thanks for watching and clarifying the procedure.
@ no worries. I did the same before XD
Excellent! I might be doing this tomorrow with my 2022 Bronco Sport.
You can do it. Good luck and let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching!!
@ thanks for the helpful video. My battery installation was the same as yours. It took about 45 minutes. The only difference was that you were in a garage and I did it at the curb while it was snowing this morning. LOL!
You’re welcome. I am glad you got it done. Nice work. Can’t let the weather slow you down. Believe it or not, it looks like we are going to get some significant snow here in Texas Thursday.
Very helpful. Finishing up five months work in Japan, and my neighbor's told me the battery is dead on my 2020 Escape with the 2.0 liter engine. If she won't respond to a jump start I'll be changing a battery in my cold garage in the Great Smoky Mountains. But with this video, I'll know just what to do. Thanks!
Welcome Home. I hope it is just a jumpstart. Stay warm and thanks for watching.
@@fixitwithbeer2435 And thanks for the effort you put into this video.
No problem. My daughter is the camera person and video editor. We have a ton of fun making the videos together. Glad this one helped.
@@fixitwithbeer2435 I'll let you know by the end of the week how this all turned out. I doubt I'll have any suggestions because your video looks spot on.
I would be happy to hear it all works out. Good Luck!!
Dumb question, are these transmission lines or motor oil? I have a leak on my 2011 GMC sierra 4.8
Sergio, Captain’s side is oil cooler lines and the drinker’s side is transmission cooler. The lines look very similar. My transmission lines are weeping, but not enough to change….yet. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching!
MY 2023 BRONCO GETS 33 TO 41 MPG... !!!!!! I DO BABY IT .. !!!!!! BUT I HAVE NEVER HAD A AUTOMOBILE THAT GETS THAT KIND OF MILEAGE... !!!!!! .. P.S. - - - BUY A K&N AIR FILTER AND GET 2 TO 4 BETTER MILEAGE ...!!!!! MY FRIEND CHANGED HIS MUFFLER AND GETS 43 TO 45 MPG .. !!!! ..... ANOTHER THING IS PURE GAS... !!!!!
Gary, thanks for watching! I am very pleased with the mileage on the Bronco Sport. Pretty great performance overall. I think that the active grill louvers must help a bunch too.
People burn threw there batterys fast because I think the charge to begin with at 100 percent, keeps slowly but surely draging it down after its shut off, then when the alternater charges it the next time its only chareing it to a lesser percent fully,my 2024 sport has already started with all kinds details have to be worked out,I dont think its safe still,an I just brought it home friday,an all the soft ware was not installed.I use dabs an beer btw lol
Thanks for watching Larry. There are just so many electric components on the modern cars that the batteries just don’t last. The Bronco Sport has fans to cool the headlights. I panicked when I heard the fans running 6 hours after driving. I looked it up and it is very common to have headlight fans at any time. Good luck with your Bronco Sport.
@@fixitwithbeer2435 I have a motomaster smart charger, but it wont get the amps up enough to charge right, unless you hub it with another motor master battery,I got a big one, have to get everything set up then plug it in.Haveing a garage to park in is nice enough if its not heated an you have an outlett to exstension cord,I think checking the charge all the time to see if its dropping constantly then dieing,an charge it if its say what below 80 %?

Matching your bowling score! Thanks for watching.
@@fixitwithbeer2435 ouch!!
Nice job!
Thanks for watching.
How did you put your wipers on that position ?
Great question!! I know that there are some cars that have a service position, especially the fancy German cars. For the Bronco, I just turned the wipers on and then turned off the car mid wipe. Makes it much easier to reach. Thanks for watching.
3:20 Laundry's done bud
Haha. Nice catch. That LG alert is very distinctive. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video. I also replaced the felt gasket on that plastic cover when I replaced the fan.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the compliment.
The oil plug is a 15mm

Nice alarm!! Like the outtakes, add more of them
Setting the alarm off was too funny not to include.
Moon moth
Pretty good how to..I will say grab the Leslie tool to take those lines out,you won’t have to remove the clips..Just did my trans lines and the worst part was feed those lines thru..
Kurtis, thanks for watching. A guy definitely needs a little help feeding the lines.
This would be helpful if I didn’t lose mine on a job site 😅
Jobsite or Chemistry Class? Haha. There is a lot of that going around right now.
I'm here in 2024 and I would like to thank you for this information. I had to flip it the different direction but it was done in less than a half a can of beer. 2017 Buick Enclave worked flawlessly!!
Hello LadyDi, I am glad this worked for you. Thanks for watching and commenting. It is great to hear from people that the videos help.
Thanks you for the quick and to the point directions. Also good beer choice!
You bet, glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching.
As for that plastic bolt cover attached to the negative lead, I didn't see you re-install it over the top of the rear bracket J-hook. In fact, it doesn't look like it lines up anymore. Take a look at time stamp 6:37. Am I missing something?
I feel like I certainly would have put that bolt cap back on. I rewatched and it is certainly not shown. My guess is that I either caught it later or it got edited out. The Subaru will be home this weekend. I will check it out and let you know if I did it or not. Good catch and thanks for watching.
You were right, I left that cap off. I had to shift the bracket over a little bit to make it fit. Good catch. Thanks again for watching.
Wow amazing Job, watching you from Zambia
Thanks for watching all the way from Zambia! That is awesome!!!
The air box removal procedure really helped. Confirmed what I suspected, but your method made thing go much easier.
Thanks for watching and glad you found the airbox removal part helpful. I went into that project figuring there would be a shortcut, but there was not.
Can you tell which size socket I need for the lug nuts on a 93 Bronco? Probably the same, right?
I would start with a 13/16” and if you like the MM’s, try a 21. I would not give the 21 all muscles and probably ought to juice it up if you are taking it off. Thanks for watching!
What to do if the lug isn't snapped off but it just spins like it's stripped out in the hub?
Thanks for watching. I have never had to work on the spinning lug. I just did a quick TH-cam search and found about 20 different videos including different methods of breaking, drilling, wedging and sawing. I think it depends on your exact situation. If there is enough room, I might be trying a socket, breaker bar and a cheater bar and see if I could break it off. If that did not work, I think I would buy a couple good metal drill bits and try to drill it out. Good luck and let us know what you find out works.
@fixitwithbeer2435 so I have a couple things workin against me. The biggest thing is the bolts are inset so I can't really bend it back and forth to try and snap it off. And it is a lug nut style, so I'm not sure if they can be drilled out
Is it in there pretty tight? Can you push the nut all the way in and try to get to the back of the stud with a saws-all?
@fixitwithbeer2435 it's pretty loose now. I can't get behind it. I think it's a brake guard back there
Solid and sound advice! Gotta make the turkey dropper 1000!
Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope your bird turns out perfectly!!!
That’s smart I was breaking my head how to install to save some money low in budget lucky came across this video
Pablo, thanks for watching. Glad the video helped.
Nice work.
We had fun with this one. Loved getting to watch for a change.
I think I see a couple acting careers in the making!
I am expecting Stephen Spielberg to call any minute now.
Time for some snowmobile videos. 😀
I think that the Iron Lake belt swap would make a pretty great video. Think snow.
Negative terminal should be removed first - before removing the positive terminal cover. This is to prevent unintentional shorting between terminals (or between positive terminal and any grounded metallic component of the car) with the socket wrench. With new battery, positive should go on first.
You are absolutely correct. Safety first! Thanks for watching.
Why not use oil extractor?
Great question. I have never used an extractor for an oil change. I used one for a transmission fluid swap and it worked great. Any concern with not getting the full gravity drain on the oil?
@@fixitwithbeer2435 I don't know. The oil filter on my car is located underneath the vehicle, so I have a mechanic change my oil, but if I was in your situation I'd just buy an oil extractor and do oil changes myself since there's no need to crawl under due to an oil filter being conveniently located on top. As far as your question, I watched a TH-cam video where they used an oil extractor and then drained the remaining oil from underneath. There was just a little bit left, so it's not really a problem. People have been using these oil extractor for a long time. If the remaining bit of oil was an issue we would've heard about it by now. The biggest issue with the oil changes is the fact that people neglect to do it on time, not that it's not drained to the last drop. Those quick lube place don't drain the oil completely either, but it doesn't cause any mass engine failures. So yeah, if I were you I'd get an extractor because crawling under a car is something I really don't want to do.
Sir, Would you tell change the battery need to reset the computer? or update the data pls
My daughter reports that all was working fine with the battery replacement. She did not need to reset the radio stations or even the clock. It must have memory storage function. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for great beer information.
Uncle Norman!! Welcome to the channel! I hope you are well.
Is that a 8hr job or less, just asking for a friend
You made my day!! I had a 3 hour job that turned to 9 hours yesterday. Needless to say, I gave up on making the video 3 hours in. The oil cooler is a 3 to 4 hours and you will need a hand fishing the lines. Let me know how it goes. Good luck.
Nice video.
Thanks for watching. It's always nice to know when someone appreciates a good vacuum repair.
You had me at "Fix It With Beer" so I just subbed! I'm just another 60-something year old that lives in the shop and the kegerator is right next to the toolbox.
@@BigHeinen Doug, welcome to the show. Thanks for the sub. I am just another clown on TH-cam fixing stuff, beer makes it more fun! Thanks for watching.
80 miles or 80 km ? You said 80 miles but wrote 80 Km on the filter. B-
Thanks for watching. Great question. I wrote 80K on the filter as an abbreviation for 80,000 miles. Meaning that the car had 80,000 miles when I changed the oil. So when the car gets to 86,000 or 87,000, time to change again. K for kilo or thousand.
Haha thanks
Great job guys! Proud of you for trying to save it! Who’s the hot guy in the Goonies shirt?
