the same with thrust stance, you can use it to "evade" while reading the attack move. And you can attack back using a focus point.

oh man ,this is so cool. Once you try it, it's very addictive. Especially in chapter 3, when you fight the Yin Tiger, which is perfect to practice the parry. Many chinese players made amazing cinematic videos of that.

😂😂 ofcourse its easy on easy enemies… but it useful on some bosses which are ultra agressive that they combo alot of attack together… the first hit is the key here, youre more likely to see thru in first enemy to make it simple

I am hating chapter 3 right now but the resolute counterflow parries and skyfall strikes feel so rewarding. only problem is a 4 focus point heavy is always better AND more satisfying

it was the first skill i rushed to get and practice mastering. that and the thrust combo too. I always value utility and versatility over anything else. Both skills helped to space out my dodges and allowed me to reposition. I only used pillar stance combo for crowd control or specific situations. Guess the description wasn't clear enough. I somewhat understood what it meant from experience with past games being vague about description and figured it out after watching the preview video and putting it to practice. died a lot but that's how these games work. :D

I like it. The timing is tighter than Sekiro and the parry in Sekiro is what made that game relatively easy

I wish they made a half second to one second slow mo animation when you parry successfully like other fighting games all do.

Wish I knew this ... I always wondered why you can only hit the enemy twice before they hitt you thru your swings and it's because that's the moment you have to hit triangle and perry

Holt shit, didnt realise you could use it that way. Ive been using it all the time but just as an extender to my combo to then use a focus point into the heavy hit and never realised i could actually time it before a hit and throw them off at the same time

Resolute COUNTER Flow. Like its name its meant to be a counter where if executed correctly gives you I-frame upon attack.

Thats... Not a parry.. its a Cancellation. Same thing is when your R2+Square fails. It's over taking because you have more foxus points.

I just learned that this was a parry while I was getting my ass handed to the Scorpionlord, then I get my revenge by making him my Resolute Strike (first heavy attack) and Skyfall Strike (follow-up heavy attack) target practice.

It’s not necessarily a parry lol “seeing thru” is more akin to an ultra instinct dodge. The resolute strike it self can bounce off some enemy attacks if timed right.
