Please take a look at this similar process th-cam.com/video/9kSYyg02ZEk/w-d-xo.html Basically I draw an angle line, mirror that line for form a V shape, then thin extrude the V shape. If you want a tapered gap, you will need to draw a path, like the outline of the letter V, and make the tips of V wider, then just simple extrude to form the gap. Hope this helps.

As long as you control the temperature, you should be fine. Usually I pour at 310F. Lower than that, it would be harder to pour due to the viscosity. Also make sure you print the mold with more than 3 surface layers.

@@Brayden-j6k oh no, hope you are OK. How did you heat up the plastisol? If you heat it up in one pyrex and pour it to a different (room temperature) glass, the sudden temperature change might cause the glass to crack or even explode. Some people experienced explosion while heating up due to the imperfection of the pyrex cup. In any case, it's always recommended to wear long sleeves/pants shoes gloves etc for your safety, when you are working with the hot plastic.

Yes, with the split open pour mold, this shouldn’t be too hard - gravity is your friend. I would fill the scale gaps first.

You mean the process at 12:26? That step is to remove the uncured surface resin so after curing station, you will get crisp details.

How to Eyebrow on the head ?

Same procedure. I 3D sketch a line on the head just above the eye, and turn it into a pipe form, adjust the shape, combine it to the head, add fillet at the intersections. Hope this helps.

I applied fish oil (or worm oil) to the mold before shooting. You can brush some resin on the mold and UV cure it. I didn’t do that because this mold has a lot of details and I didn’t want to lose them.
