Some photographs taken at the Birmingham Powerhouse Alldayer way back in 1985. Lots of pics are lost, misplaced, damaged or given away so I thought it best just to upload some before they're all lost in the mists of time. So, Enjoy!

Just a handful of snaps taken at the Belinda's nightclub, Leeds. They have been posted as too many people were asking for copies, I started to lose many pics over the years and they becoming damaged and scratched beyond use. So here they are and enjoy.

Photos taken whist at the Preston Clouds Xmas Alldayer 1984. This funktion happened every year and every year it was amazing, many thanks to the regular DJs and the funkers from all over. The tune of the night were many but my fave was "You make me Happy" Hi Tension. Others include: Don't look any further, Say Yeah, Rain Forrest, I found lovin, When you look in my eyes, etc.

Just a handful of snaps taken at the Rock City Alldayer, Nottingham back inJanuary 1985. They were just one of the many bands that played this venue such as: Brass Construction, Slave, Dazz Band, Cameo, SOS Band, Full Force, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, Change, Funk Deluxe and Loose Ends. MTUME ROCKED!

Photographs taken at the Doncaster Seventh Heaven Alldayer back in 1985. This was a kicking affair with some serious grooves played. The tune of the night in my view and that of the crowds was "If your looking for fun" by Weeks and Co.

Rock City definitely had great All Dayers. The photos in this video are excellent and are of historical importance. I can see faces I recognize.
I can see Bulldog from Birmingham on the dance floor .. awesome jazz dancer in the 80s

It's good to see that the Asian community got involved in the Club scene up North. In London you did not see many Asians in the clubs.
Born in 65 as,well went there a few times myself , spent most of the day in the jazz room upstairs , on a sad note some people i these photos are no longer with us, notably from the Leeds alldayer posted by 247 Topcat

Shit I was there- a whole load of us came over by coach from Preston. I was 14/15. This was brilliant. I love Mtume. Cameo and Loose Ends also performed that year. These were the days, pure Music. Before it became about huge £.
Use to come over from Preston 84, 85 and was only 14/15. Fake ID and just enough money to get in and share an orange juice with my friend. It was all about the music. Exciting days.

Funny, we got a bus from the North West to one of these events (they did coach trip from one of our local clubs) - we thought we were really cool. I remember being told to take several changes of clothes. Someone below mentioned the Powerhouse Strutt - I think I remember that to 'Freez IOU'
