The Who (2) Substitute (Live at Kilburn 1977)

Faul is a substitute for Paul 😊
2:01 i love that bass fill ❤

This is such a great performance
ps : always amazed at Townshend's stage presence, like no other. that guy has kangaroo genes i think.
Not their best performance, but even at their worse The Who are still great.
Very few have this energy charisma and talent
Pete Townsend with maximum vitality
Great show... but musicaly bad concert.
Nothing beats the original version but this one’s not bad at all
Greatest band ever great live
The killing riff Entwistle casually plays at about 1:13 (or so) is worth putting up with this otherwise slopfest. Saw the Who's early days, club dates, medium size venues, incredible live band; but here it's sad to see Moon such a mess. Toward the end they buried the drums in the mix.
Vue la même année a Colmar France
Keith Moon is an absolute gem. He turns any Who song into thunder showcase.
Keith Moon is an absolute beast on drums 🥁
I know Pete was pissed but MAN they were way better here than in 78.
Fabulous. But I preferred Pete's sound with the SG Specials.
Great performance. At their best. Keith just kicks ass on drums..primo,..and Pete pulls out all the moves.
Music needs to be more like this today, not enough
Not played together for a year and still they deliver this kind of performance? wow...ps : Pete's athleticism is mindblowing given the lifestyle they had at the time
TOO MUCH!!!
Pete’s jumping around like a fool. He just forgot to play his guitar. What a mess this show was. 🤮👎
What happened to RnR? what happened with the music? Nobody does anything like that anymore, now everything is so plastic and prefabricated, it's not fun.
Ox was out of this world, so so good 🐂
This is the best version of Substitute I have heard to date in almost 40 years as a Who fan
It's good, but personally my favourite is the version they sang with Kelly Jones from Stereophonics
Live at Leeds - but that one's not bad
My favourite is the version of monterey 😀
For me its either the Monterey Pop Festival (1967) version or the Live At Leeds (1970) version
@@davidjones5684 That was horrible. Jones vocals sucked
That bass tone
"We don't know how this is gonna be right ? Cause we ain't played most these songs about a year" *Plays beautifully*
The Best of English
Next time they played, Keith was a shade of himself. He was at his best during this show
Brilliant lyrics in this song by Mr. Pete Townshend.
Puke Townshend is a piece of shit for what he told 8n a recent itw about how he was happy that Keith and John are gone...
Quelle énergie Pete monté sur ressorts 🤸🎸c'était le bon temps , before it was good music, he jumps less in 1987 , age takes effect 😞
One of their most beautiful songs live perfectly performed. Love it!
this song had a lot of their young energy
I thought this was a GREAT show. BEST energy of the entire band I remember......
The Who
A rare Who video that actually shows Entwistle. Thank you!
Top ten world band
World's GREATEST Rock and Roll Band Ever!!
that's a great bass sound... before all the phaser and chorus crap
2:08 I love that begruding little smile Entwistle (ever the devout Catholic man) gives Moon as if to indicate, "satisfactory old boy" John ever the master of understatement as if contentment but deny anything more hehe
Your obsessed with John Entwistle being a Catholic, can you tell when somebody is a Catholic or something, it's strange that you should have too bring this up, as I have told you he was a freemason
@sextuspompeius1266He was confirmed to be a Mason, whatever that even really means, by Townshend . However, I personally can’t find any evidence that he was catholic.
カッケ^~!、、、from Japan、、。
I don’t know how John Entwistle can look at Keith Moon without laughing on stage.
John a strict Catholic said he felt sorry for poor keith, it's not funny to make fun of addicts
@@mrtoad3582 are you sure about hin being a Catholic? Because he was a freemason ,and you know what the Catholic Church thinks of freemasons, he would have had to lie
@@nickjohnson710Wouldn’t be the first time somebody did something their religion disagreed with, also I find it hysterical that the Catholic Church should be judging anybody 🤣
Pop song that morphed into a rocker. Kieth chimes in when nobody sings background verses😇
If carlesberg could make a rock band
There may have been just some drug use going on I’m not sure. 😹
