Very well played, you have really captured his playing. I also play the piano and have been working on my own transcriptions of Side Saddle and China Tea for some time now. His songs might sound simple and happy, but it is by far the most challengng thing I’ve done on the piano. Still working on getting the speed and flow of the back-tenths. And once one part is there he modulates over to a different key…

I have all of Klaus Wunderlich Hammond Pops records and this brings memories back of listening to them. A sad loss to the organ world when he died.

In the 1980s I was a bit low and went to see Klaus in of all places Harrogate with a girl who was way out of my league ... and it was the most fantastic evening and the lady then gave me 3 years of divine pleasure and love ... we always listened to Klaus in the car and held hands ... He was a very special man and your fabulous recital has brought me happiness and joy ... PS It all turned out alright and with my current girl 35 years on we love this music - THANK YOU

Great playing! And lovely to hear the H and that arrangement (one of my favourite KW arrangements). Do you know for sure the original was an H? I always thought so, but I’ve heard it said it was a C3.

Bill, every time I come back to this video, I’m always reminded of how great the H-100 can sound in the right hands. I own a 1966 model and it is a very rowdy example of a H-100

Bill you are among the greats! You rank up there with Walter Wanderly, Mike Reed and Omar Garcia (all available on TH-cam) We lost Mike Reed last Christmas Eve. He was 76 I believe. He was amazing. Famous for his pedal work on song like "And the Angels Sing". He played a 1974 Hammond Grandee. I would love to hear you play "A Walk in the Black Forest" Thanks for your super talent and all the hard work. 😀

This is a really excellent - and faithful - rendition of the classic original. I am not sure how Bill Tustain managed to get his Yamaha sounding like that old 1905 Steinway at Abbey Road - but it's pretty damn close. Great job!
