These kind of videos that talk about "what not to do..." or "rules of Australia" make me laugh with how wrong they are. I'm an Aussie and... 1. I often stray from the path - never been bitten by anything dangerous or venomous yet.... and a large portion of Australia has ZERO crocodiles (except maybe in zoos). 2. It's not cheap, but not that different to anywhere else, right now we're in a cost of living crisis the same as the rest of the world, and for the same reason, covid. 3. Yes, we don't say shrimp on a barbie, but nobody is going to get upset if you do say it, we'll know you're a tourist and it's fine. 4. Don't drink and drive, well isn't that a rule in most countries???? Driving drunk isn't a good idea no matter where you are. Yeah, nobody drinks Fosters, but again nobody is going to be upset if you ask for one, we'll realise you're a tourist. 5. True. 6. No tipping is right, you can if you want, but nobody is going to blame you if you don't because its not common. 7. Public transport, even in cities, is often crap and won't get you to lots of places. If you travel here, find some friends here to help you get around, or hire a car. Never go out in the "Outback" unless you are fully prepared, tourists and even Aussies can easily get lost, and the desert is hot hot hot. 8. You can talk about immigration if you want, I don't see why anybody here would get upset over it, but its a boring subject to be discussing when you're sight seeing, right??? 9. One of the few true facts on the list, we do joke around and take the "piss" out of anyone and anything, but most likely people will realise you're tourists and not say anything that's likely to offend. 10. Yeah, don't be afraid to say hello, but just know that Australia is no different to any other country, some people are nice, some people aren't. 11. Yeah, enjoy Australia if you do come, and stop letting people scare you with the whole dangerous/poisonous animals thing, its extremely overblown. I'm 52, and as I said at the top I've never been bitten by anything yet. I've seen plenty of spiders, snakes, and other animals, they aren't a problem as long as you use some common sense, ie if you see a snake leave it alone. Snakes in Australia don't see humans as a source of food, so they don't want to eat you, they just want to keep away from you.

If you want to try good "curry ketchup" in the US, google pictures of "hela gewürz ketchup"..you will recognize the bottle if you see it. Probably available in lidl, aldi and trader joes (thats also aldi but run by the the brother..its aldi north and aldi south here, but you cant have the same name in america so trader joes it is) hela gewürz ketchup is probably the closest you can get taste wise. The thing is that the real ones make the ketchup themself..secret is in the sauce.

Hello from Switzerland, the nice thing about our country is that, in addition to the well-known spots, you can enjoy nature almost everywhere, take a leisurely walk across fields, forests and hills or hike a little higher, where you will sometimes be surprised by an excellent view. Water, be it streams, rivers, lakes, is very clean, so it's not surprising that people jump into it almost everywhere, especially in summer. Where I live in Basel, it is even a welcome tradition to bathe in a public fountain (officially it is allowed in ~10 fountains). The suggested places are really recommended (but there is something to discover in every corner anyway). Valle Verzasca, the river is crystal clear, but also ice cold 😜 (and very dangerous in places!). Especially with us, you don't need a car (or you're better off without one if you want to go to the cities), because public transport connects every town with the "world" in some way, be it trains, boats or mountain railways/cable cars.
