Motorcycle tour Aberfoyle to Inverness Scotland Ep 8 It was a great ride up past Glencoe and Fort William along the banks of Lochness upwards to Inverness for our next stopover. Unfortunately, we did feel a little rushed today and missed out on stuff that we really wanted to see properly rather than just from the saddle of bikes, like Loch Lomond and Loch Ness. Never mind, we are sure to come b...

What an amazing little place Aberfoyle is, and what a great ride to get there. Taking in the coast of Ayr round to the West Coast Harley Davidson Dealers in Glasgow. Motorcycle tour, Moffat to Ayr Scotland, Through Galloway Forest, Ep 6

The ride to Ayr from Moffat, especially the final part through the Galloway National Park, was inspiring. We never actually managed to find Bruces Stone; we just didn't see any directions or come across any info that pointed us to it, plus we didnt want to leave the bikes and go on a trek. The ride, though, on the off road track was great and easily doable on a motorcycle. That nasty piece of a...

So we started what for us is an epic motorcycle tour all the way down south at Lands End, making our way up through Cornwall and Devon on to Exmoor, which is also in Somerset. We decided this September 2024 to head south to the wild south west rally at the Britannia Inn, St Austell in Cornwall. Nice episode guys. How lucky were you with the weather that day it could not have been any better. The only trouble I found doing the west coast of Scotland was how many times I turned my go pro on and off, every corner gives a different picture. I don’t think I’ve been anywhere like it in the world. Looking forward to seeing how you did on that hairpin coming down the other side of the applecross pass. I bet your glad you recorded it as I’m sure you were not looking at the epic views down the valley. Stay safe and happy travels .
wow you got super lucky with the weather i have been applecross a few times but most of the time in fog and heavy rain even in the middle of summer
Some nice roads and scenery i went to Fort William about 50 years ago for a weekend, which was ok, but a lot of snow. Keep safe. I really envy you two.
Great to see you back and well done Liz, while I ride with one leg I can't comprehend riding with one hand. Impressive stuff. Ridden that route quite a bit, hardest bit is avoiding the campervans!
Tempi eroici e romantici, quando tutto ciò che serviva era solo l'entusiasmo. Sto leggendo "One man caravan " e lo consiglio anche a chi non è un motociclista, anzi, soprattutto a chi non lo è...

Great stuff guys, looks like you're having a good time. IIRC the stone is up the hill from where you parked the bikes, so you got pretty close.

@@BionicBikers yes , love them, there better than people, if you had one , I just wondered what happened to it when you moved, but you said you didn't have one
G’day, bloody bonza mate, fantabulastic even😁. Your reply to my previous comment where you mentioned the universe looking after you are the exact words my big sister, her daughter & son use . They have a fantastic life , basically what you might call free spirit nomads. I really do need to take a leaf out of your book & trust that system a little more. I hope the universe allows us to say G’day face to face when I’m over your way next year. How does Neil…(top name mate, same as mine🙈) compare the Triumph to the interceptor? I have an interceptor, I have often wondered if I should swap it for a triumph. I’ve not owned a triumph as yet🤷🏻♂️. Strange thing, Elizabeth was my beautiful mother’s name 😋. Keep smiling, ride safe. Hooroo for now 🏍👍😎
Hey mate, we absolutely always look for the signs that lead us where we need to be, it always seems to work out. Snap on the names :) i loved the Interceptor. i really did, found it great for the small lanes that we used to live in, but for bigger touring, it just never had the space and size that I needed. If i were rich, I'd have kept it but unfortunately had to let it go. The Triumph is just pure class, I'd say a step up in quality overall compared to the Inty. Obviously the Speedmaster is a bigish cruiser (not as big as a HD) that draws a lot of attention and just feels and rides amazingly. If I were riding the big roads of Australia, I'd definitely choose the Triumph Speedmaster, no question. If however you love the Inty and it gives you what you want, then cool, but I reckon you've got itchy feet. :) you won't go wrong with any of the Bonnevilles, to be honest. Elizabeth is such a great name, Let us know when your over, and if we're about I'm sure we can sink a few tinnies and swap stories. Never know we might just fly out to Aus ;)
@@BionicBikers G’day cobbers. Thanks for this reply, true blue points from you. I went a little troppo the last few years, after the ex. Wife done a bunk with another bloke & left me homeless, penniless & pissed off😳. I’ve ended up with a few bikes, instead of sorting out supposedly more important things , however I do need to settle on what bike suits me best. Four is too many for me, especially since I don’t have anywhere to keep them. Your words about the Interceptor & Triumph are much appreciated, & helpful. I have a Harley ultra limited, I call my car, as I don’t own four wheels & a roof 😜. The interceptor is for some fun in the sun. Perhaps I will get to explain more at a later time. Thanks again for your views on this. One last quick note, I have lived up to my you tube username, I have just commented on a video of yours when you were near Penzance, however it is showing as a reply to another person’s comment, if that makes sense to you. Ol’man shit4 brains strikes again 🤷🏻♂️🫣🤣🤣🤣🤣. P.S , a few tinnies & some riding awaits, if you ever find yourselves down under. Keep smiling, ride safe. Hooroo for now👍🏍😎
