How to get rid of the zip and smooth out your bolts action in a Ruger American rifle.
I purchased mine from army lock with kingpin my apf lower did not work with the juggernaut kit
It's so much better than what it comes with but I guess for 600 bucks you can't complain lol
That thing is super nice. Where’d you get the grips from?
Apply GOI paste to polishing wheel for way better result.
Taurus is short or long action?
Quick pin vs king pin. Safelock vs maglock 🤔 which is best
It just sounded more like a high end rifle.
My Bersa I had in Missouri also would not fire if the mag was out. I think they all come that way.
Great info! I have a Winchester safe, and yes my keypad has failed within 16 months of ownership. Can you please tell me the part number(numbers) so that I can purchase a replacement from Amazon? Thank you in advance for any help you can lend.
Hellfighter works great on my stuff
I have the lefty Ruger GSR scout and have used it since they were first available. Your mistaken about two things. The slots on the bottom of bolt body are for redirection of gases to go down into the magazine, its very much similar to an Mauser 98 design and mud wont be an issue. Also the LC6 trigger is an open trigger design like that of the original Mauser 98, Winchester pre-64, 1903, and M1917. These are far away an much more reliable and field maintained trigger than closed box style types. The Ruger Hawkeye (GSR) has some interesting designs to it that are for reliability and ive had mine perform perfectly in the wet and cold where others have failed.
Recoil is not a function of length, it is almost solely due to weight. You could argue that if all things were equal, a shorter barrel would recoil less, for the same reason that the longer barrel would get more velocity. I have the same rifle, I like it quite a bit. I just put an optic on it finally a couple weeks ago. I was waiting for the Primary Arms GLX 1X to come out as it’s the only prism optic that I know of with enough eye relief to mount in the forward scout position, and I really wanted a prism sight on it. So far I like it and it fits the designs intended use very well.
yea fuck the laws, bought myself a DDM4 V7 and just bent the metal bracket stopping me to reload fuck it
Why not make it featureless?? Then you don't need the maglock
Dude, don't rag on the safe itself. It's a great safe for the price. I shitcanned the digital locks on my three safes (Winchester, Big Horn, and Cannon) and installed the appropriate S&G dial. *NEVER* had a problem.
Best method to smooth up ANY bolt gun- 1) Properly oil the bolt body and grease the cocking cam and bolt lugs. 2) 200 rounds through the gun (at your leasure) and repeat step 1 after every range session. After 200 rounds, that bolt will be SMOOTH. No harmful.abrssives to get in the locking lugs or hamfisted "bubba" BS with power tools😂
You can also use Mothers , Blue Coral or any other chrome polish. Do the bolt and the receiver at the same time.
ty, I just ordered the mini combo, tail stock, and brushes. That bolt looks awesome,
featureless so much better, just get a fixed stock option
not a bad method but I would imagine using some flitz metal polish compound apply it to the bolt install back into the action/rifle and cycle it 2 or 300x would smooth it out and wear it into the weapon itself making it more consistent and reliable in cycling and through the whole action process. would also polish the mating surfaces at same time and act as a rust prevention but I'd still apply some quality lubricant like the lucas you use which I also use
Honestly it sounds the same before and after , I could be wrong 😅 but it probably is smoother 👍
Valve lapping compound is the way to do this. That's the way you hone parts
Your vid is awesome! I'm studying to be a gunsmith, and this hits on a current discussion. Straightforward and simple! Can you provide the end vises you used to hold the bolt?
I would wrap everything I would not want to have abrasion leftovers in with painter's tape and spray liberally with CRC QD electric degreaser afterwards. My knee jerk reaction was to do the same, but then I looked at the bolt more closely and it was perhaps done so on purpose. These small ridges help with scraping field dirt out, while recessions between them retain oil and lubricate cleaned surface on every move. Pretty much like what crosshatch marks in engine cylinder bore do. Polished bolt would require more maintenance as it can't evacuate dirt as efficiently as unmodified bolt does. I personally value reliability over convenience (read: I'm lazy) and decided to leave it as is :)
Ruger should try to do better. Savage doesn’t do that people
Hi, I follow your TH-cam channel directly from Brazil, if you could make a comparative video of the Taurus Expedition with other Rifles that would be excellent, the Taurus Expedition was launched in Brazil and will go on sale in October. Congratulations on the videos.
the newer safes have SecuRam keypads on them. Much less likely to fail. but that is still inexcusable customer service
Getting my bersa 380 thunder tomorrow it’s the blue and black one holds 8+1 getting a 15 mag for it next weekend great video man you’ve earned a subscriber 🖤
had to sub! This is the kind of videos I need! Real time feedback! Hate that you had that terrible customer service.... Actually, NON-CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Good info. I have the 25. Question; does it actually hold 36 rifles?
If you pack them in like Tetris probably15-18 comfortably they are counting hand guns I believe
Could you still unlock it with the backup key?
Of course but thats not the point I paid for a safe that works but also in an emergency it takes much longer to open with the key. If you sell a product with a warranty then stand behind it 100%
@thepeyotecoyote5994 gotcha. I think im going go still give one a try
I know this is an old post but the magazine disconnect is how they ship. I’m in TN and mine has a mag disconnect as well 👍
Well safety feature I suppose
These California AR laws are an infringement of US citizen's rights. Very sad when CA ignores the US Constitution.
Yes it is the fed should step in immediately
Don't ever do that again.
Getting rid of the corduroy pants sound is a life changing moment 😂
Change overhead view, put the camera as you are looking at the box. More viewer friendly and it’s not annoying to look at. Looking at it, it looks like my screen is upside down. Thanks for the content
Really a bummer it didnt come with a scope base
Right? Probably because there are several options however just a standard would be nice. if you get one make sure the base screws don't stick into the barrel because the can I had to shorten mine.
I bought an Anderson manufacturering AM-15 from Turners. It already had the Juggernaut Hellfighter tactical pin installed. I have ran into that issue with the p-mag. The range I go to doesn't worry about keeping the chamber open. Just rmove the mag and place your flag in the chamber and step back
you can file the pmag a bit on the front and it will work also
@thepeyotecoyote5994 nice, but what part do I file? The plastic or the metal?
GreatWork & Looks Good⚡️🇺🇲
Great to chat with you Noah! What did you settle on?
HellYeahh
Awesome job. Unfortunately not much explanation.
anything you want to know?
I just bought one about two weeks ago and took it to the range a couple of days ago. I was really surprised at how accurate that thing is! Out of 50 rounds, only one round hit just outside of the body silhouette. The other 49 rounds all hit in the center from center mass up to the head. Mine is really difficult to rack so I'm hoping it will break in. The magazine release button is also a little out of place but for the price, it is really a good gun.
hmmm? mine isn't so bad to rack
@@thepeyotecoyote5994 yes, I noticed that. Maybe it's my age. We'll see, I'm picking up a brand new rifle tomorrow.
Sorry to hear you went through that brother, I was considering a Winchester safe for the price but considering what you’ve said I’ll steer another direction. Thanks for the information
Same.
thanks for watching
if it shooting low and to the left, could it be your finger placement
it was pretty consistent off
i got a Springfield but after watching several videos on rock island i might give one a try. please make a full review on the range
will do
Great video
Thanks for watching
💯
Man why even own an AR if you’re so negative bout them. You’re missing out if you’ve never bothered to look at an AR10 chambered in 6.5 CM. I get the fizz When I can consistently hit out to 1300 yards yet still have a battle rifle as well. Tune it with a JP silent capture and your follow up shots are not like anything a bolt action could ever offer. I highly recommend that you reconsider your underwhelmed opinion of the AR. It is the finest peice art that was made well before cad exists yet we still use stoners design today. It’s simply amazing.
Its the best modular gun out there hands down. An AR10 is on my build list and I regularly build AR 15s .Just not my fav we all have different favorites. The gun itself is fine in the non California configuration I just hate that hell fighter kit.
What did you use to keep the lower stationary to torque down the castle nut?
use a little Blue locktite I just do it on by hand mostly never had one come loose yet
Did this on my SX150 rear light housing. Cheers from the UK.
Ello UK!
