NILFISK Multi 2 30 REVIEW - poor engineering and material choice
Is there a way to do it without the tool?
its not worth the risk .you could damage the camshaft keyway or the timing prongs on the camshaft . the tool is cheap do it properly
You could make a tool using a flat piece of steel drill to holes in it for the smaller bolts that go in the pulley and then one big bolt hole with a bolt in it to push against the bolt in the centre of the pulley
Hi? Any tips on how to put this engine in the engine bay of the car?
th-cam.com/video/eBTQcgOTc4A/w-d-xo.html
And they overtake by (illegally) divebombing the right hand side of the track while the charade is queueing behind a driver who is refusing to yield for an overtake.
Nice cars!! And i subscribed to you channel
thank you .your channel is very good and so is your English .keep up the great work and I am really looking forward to see your grey GTti Build
Technically not an engine failure but a water pump failure ! All components will fail if you leave them long enough and that water pump was more than long enough 🤨 replace cam belt and all pulleys and tensioners and water pump every five years regardless of mileage an you’ll be fine.
Overall impression of the engine = very bad maintenance
Is that a 4g63 head on it?
no its a GDI HEAD
Ассаляму Алейкум Малайзия
Waalaikummusalam
Easy 15 min fix 😃
I changed my water pump when doing the timing belt ect and it had that style of pump. It was clean didnt really have any rust on either. I would say its probably not had enough antifreeze in for a long time or someones done something silly like put radiator weld in it.
I first thought... Fuck you... Then I thought you know hoe manny people have been passed off at this.?? Look at the views.. lmfao
What do you need to install cruise control on this cars
this case is one whole piece of crap. If the owner would maintain this engine properly, that means: - using G12++ cooling fluid - replacing (not checking !!!) water pump with every timing belt replacement - replacing the timing belt every 90-120kkm (that was the original replacement period for the timing belt, AFAIR) it should not have happened if You use proper engine cooling fluid and proper maintenance periods. I am servicing three of them, all of them based on a 1.9 diesel engine body, one has 200kkm, one has 330kkm and one has 370kkm driven, and in none of these engines had such beautifully looked water pump. never. Someone asked for such problems.
VW is shit with poor design and things are designed to break in my toyota I have a timing chain with no belts at all .VW engineers are went to jail like Oliver Schmidt
@@RSADYNAMICS blah blah blah... VW did not have to write its power windows are specially automatic version for the driver on the power window control panels. All of them had the automatic mode built in by the design. For Toyota it is a greatest achievement to make such thing but hold on - only for driver, AFAIR only for opening. Yes, Volkswagen are designed for volks, but not for idiots.
are they casting marks and is it nothing to worry about because ive just noticed the same thing
thanks for the comment yes thats what I realised after making the video .are you going turbo
it is variable speed?
Yee i believe so depending on how much yiu press the trigger
They do say to change the water pump when you do the belt. Every 90 - 100k kilometers
No, every two timing belt interval, that is in the service procedure.

its overstated that vw engines are better .. ppl are putting so much value on these cars when infact they are maibe worse than other manufacturers. in this case seems bad coolant (not changing or using water) and dirty engine contributed to this failure. recently i had a similar situation where timing belt tensioner got defective at 20k only(plate behind holding the spring snapped in 2 parts - bad design), so i had to rebuild the engine head completley. i'm curios if lower engine had suffered any damage and if is still running. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Good day RSA, adore your content and sub-ed to you !! :) Kindly persist with producing more materials !! I too publish posts about traveling in England :):)
the JDM ENGINE ALSO has a better flowing HEAD
Looks like that pump was never changed. Don't VW say 5 years or 50,000? Lll
It was changed .if it had nwver bwen changed ir would have been plastic like the oem one
I’ve been seeing that the 1.9 diesel should survive a broken timing belt. I’m looking at a 05 with a broken belt. Should I be overly concerned?
The engine is an interference type meaning if the cambelt snaps the valves will make contact with the piston I got lucky with my vehicle as i turned the car off a millisecond after the cambelt snapped and the valves did not bend and break.you are right to be concerned .if i were you i would buy a boroscope and then remove the glow plugs and check to see the condition of the pistons
hey man, do you want to see me sneeze on people?
so your going around in this time when there is a virus and your sneezing on people .that is the most stupid shit I have heard .you could kill someone
Hi, why dont u try that as a prank and when you get your head cracked like an easter egg upload the link for us to critique from 1 to 10 👍
where are you based ? your contact details please ?
whats your email brother I am in Rg1
Oh well. Ajusa composite with ARP studs torqued to 65lbft works awesome anyway.
MUNNSEY GREAT TO HEAR FROM YOU :) took around 9 Months for him to tell me he could not do it .Im just happy to get the copper one back. Can you deffo get the MLS ones again as thats what I will use with 0 rings
@@RSADYNAMICS yes I will be getting some soon. But you definitely need to be going onto perfect freshly skimmed deck and head surfaces. Much less forgiving than composite gasket.
@@munnsey excellent will give you a shout once things are finalised .
I've also carried-out port cleaning on my car.. however my intake ports turned-out a lot cleaner then whats shown here... I' used normal fuel/petrol as it wouldn't damage the rubber seals if contact was made. what have you used here?? did you also clean around the rim of each piston, as its these seals that ultimately cause running issues.. also make sure you get good catch cans, cheap items on ebay & amazon are exactly that "cheap & pointless" they need filters within to catch the oil particles
I used acetone no I did not clean the piston rings although I use an oil additive that does .I would use a provent catch can
@@RSADYNAMICS aw ok... acetone is abit of a risky chemical to use on the valves however.. Yeah sorry I miss typed, I was meaning around the valve's, as you need to clean around the inner edge of the valve's to make sure nothings built up in those areas.. that'll cause running issues & can lead to bent valve's. Regarding catch cans you'll need a duel can setup aka 2 catch cans, & make sure their good quality ones.. Ebay & most amazon ones are a waste of money.
@@malp6280 I misunderstood you I thought you were asking me a question I used acetone and scrubbed it and then sucked away the the resulting liquid within a few minutes it's barely touching the valve back face and not the meeting surface by the valve stem seals have experienced no issues as the oil catch can can I mentioned a system that is the best
Crock of shit video...show installation
I’m after the exhaust? Bigger intercooler
www.gttidevelopments.co.uk/ You prolly need to get a custom exhaust and intercooler piping i am not on any forums or the gtti uk facebook page so i really dont know what systems are out there for sale.doing everthing on my own . i know scorpion used to make an exhaust for this car. every now and then you see one come up on ebay.ask on the facebook group or www.gttidevelopments.co.uk/
Thanks
U selling the parts
Exhaust intercooler if you have a bigger one sent you a message on your website

Hey I’m really sorry I missed your original message on my channel. And sorry you went to the trouble of writing a message that I missed. It wasn’t at all intentional & I’m just trying to catch up 👍
No problem dude great work on your channel thanks for writing back really appreciated you taking the time to write to me And congratulations on your class lap record great to see a cp9a showing it's true potential and beating newer more expensive machinery
Do you sell the Daihatsu Charade Gti 1.0 12v turbo head?
Hello I do not have any for sale try eBay or gtti developments website
Was the water pump a HEPU ? usually these metal impeller pumps are guaranteed for a hundred thousand miles...
Basically don't use the metal impeller type use the plastic type ones as they will not corrode and cause the water pump to fail does causing this type of damage
@@RSADYNAMICS 100% never had an issue with plastic impellers on any engines ive done belt jobs.
Hepu pumps are good. They have metal impeller.Never had a problem with them.Had many problems with tight assed owners trying to save peanuts on belt jobs.
Who's charade is this?!
I don't know but I have seen this charade before being used in sprints in Germany.i used to have a low quality pic of it.it can't be too hard to find out who ownes it go on the German gtti forum or ask our German friend who has a black and green GTti
@@RSADYNAMICS if my memory serves me correctly I don't think this was a GTti, I think it was a HC-E with a turbo... could be wrong though, it was a VERY long time ago that this first emerged
@@gtti89 nice to hear from you Tim .love your videos . I think I have a low res picture of the car somewhere it looks like it’s deffo a g100 charade but I may be wrong as you seem to know the car .
thanks this is mine :) i have mt tracktime video going up tomorrow
NICE CAR love the starlets have had some decent kills in them .look forward to your video add the link here in my comments if you want
Pistons are damaged, they had marks on exhaust valves. Obviously they had contact with valves, but TDI has flat head, so valves aren't bent, but they are compressed, so you must replace all exhaust valves on that head, because there is possibility of valve drop.
The pistons are not damaged the sharan is now fixed and has been driving for many 1000s of miles.using this same engine and pistons And valves
Ok they are not damaged, but it was marked with valve contact. It can work that without any problems. I know that. Did you changed valves or cam followers ? Valves also can survive piston contact in TDI engine but followers would be damaged and that cause excessive camshaft wear.
@@fedjadrndarski5606 yes new followers but not because of rhe camblet snapping .but rarher as there was wear
@@RSADYNAMICS Yeah, followers wear can make damage to the camshaft.
@@fedjadrndarski5606 yes thats ehat i found
Them valves must be solid if they hit the pistons
this isnt engine failure its a neglected water pump failure
jamie211983 I think in the video I explained it pretty well . there was coolant in the motor.the shaft for the water pump seized and caused this entire issue
so like i said its a water pump failure not an engine failure?change the title.
jamie211983 is it possible that an engine can run with the cylinder head removed ? if the answer is no and the engine will not run i define that as an engine failure. I was lucky I did not bend a valve when the cambelt sheered against the seized water pumps teeth so clearly I had an engine failure Vws are garbage are you the grammar police 🚔🚓
the engine didnt fail here, the only thing that failed was the owner neglecting a water pump change because they didnt want to spend another £40 on a pump.
jamie211983 the water pump was changed around 2 years prior and was within it's service life.Vw spec pink coolant was used. A metal as opposed to plastic impeller water pump was used.the metal impeller water pump should not be used in my opinion as it can corrode over time and seize up as was the case with this car.there was ample oem spec coolant use . these engines do have inherent design problems with high mileage which is why you have to replace the camshaft .some valve gear -pd injectors .
hi the caliper is plastic or what?
iki wan no it's anodized aluminium. These are amazing brakes .but you need good tyres too like AD08R ADVANS and to remove the Abs fuse to stop the abs kicking in
They are aluminum... I don't know what the hell that message was saying that answered your question LOL
Why I allways change water pump each belt change (and tensioners)
the inner drive shaft
