HOW TO REPLACE A HUB SEAL ON A BOAT TRAILER
มุมมอง 1.5K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
These hubs are oil bath, however the concept is the same if you have grease filled hubs. Custom line trailers went out of business so getting parts can be tricky, hopefully this video is helpful for the bullet guys.

What is brand aluminum tray troll motor? Where u order buy it? I have xpress and am like u drives me crazy standing up one leg on pedal! Great video!!
@@chris1234-c3h I got this one off of Amazon I don’t remember the brand but I’m sure it was the cheapest aluminum one I could find
@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS Wow that was quick!! You da man....thanks so much going have someone qualified do mine. Dealership told me it voids Xpress lifetime warranty. But, these warranties are so restrictive these days; anything get out doing repairs seems like to me?
Just to let everyone know, adding basketballs, foam, and whatever else that floats, does not help with floatation. If you take on water, it can help keep your boat from sinking because it takes up area that water can not. It absolutely does not increase your floatation though or keep your higher in the water.
@@enronshu1974 it absolutely does, when I had basket balls in the jack plate, it floated about 4 inches higher in the back, which is what we’re trying to do with extra flotation…. Get the stern up as high as possible, it helps plane faster and also makes a better fishing platform if you can get the decks closer to level.
@@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS ok. My mistake. I didn't realize they were in the jackplate, outside of the hull. Big difference there.
My goodness that area you’re fishing is absolutely beautiful. Where is that? Obviously you don’t have to give the exact location, I’m just curious!
Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤
How much money did you get for coming in second place? Abuse your boat for a little bit of money. You guys don't know what it is like to really enjoy fishing. It's all about competing for a few dollars.
@@dannybarker442 It’s the competitive part that makes it fun for me. If I didn’t enjoy tournament fishing I wouldn’t even have a bass boat. It’s not about how much I win, because you never win what you spend.
I’m believer in garlic scent spray on all my baits. Even on shrimp when we fishing on bottom. Really enjoy your channel.
That was so awesome Just found your channel other day I’ve subscribed a well be watching your videos. I’m old bass fishermen from North Wilkesboro. We have a little place in Columbia NC we come down when we can stay a few days.
This river is on my property in Coats, NC, I have 81 acres
Congrats on the win! Just curious, what do you do for a living?
@@GrifFungin Thank you, I’ve been in and out of the trucking business, mechanic, and equipment operator.
Do you bottom out the rear seal when installing?
Yessir, I tap it in until it’s seated on the lip inside the hub
Didn’t use RTV on the oil cap or outer part of inner seal? Dexter calls for it. Great video I’m about to do this.
That's a Beautiful Place...but even more Beautiful is you taking your kids fishing man what a Blessing...Great job my Friend...❤
Wanted to see it run. Waste of time.
Look like a Bullet Boat did u flash it to 300 hp what prop brand and pitch I guess high 90 mph
Yessir 20XD, it’s been flashed. Running a bravo 30 for now.
Great vid. Just subscribed to your channel. Keep them coming and good luck out there
Thank you!
Great video! I subscribed to your channel...Which boat ramp/what area are you in? I'd love to take my daughter through there...thanks 👍
Thanks for watching, fishing on the cape fear river near Wilmington
Dang, that is the smallest part of cape fear river ive ever seen, I thought you were up in a creek or small river...I love that black water fishing, the markings on the fish are beautiful
Been watching you a lot lately ! Love the river fishing !
Thank you for watching!
@@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS got any tips for summer river fishing ?
@@Gatormovez I’ve had good success fishing top water early in the morning or late in the afternoon, always fish the shady side and try to find the current, out swing banks and bottlenecks will have the most current and cooler water that’s what I like to do when it starts getting hot. If it’s tidal make sure the water is moving good when you fish, plan your trip around the tide.
Where all does your club fish tournaments?
@@YahBoyBryce The club tournaments are usually local around Wilmington, castle hayne, Sutton lake, lake waccamaw, white lake… TBF tournaments are more out of town around NC and SC.
👍✌️ keep at it soldier..✌️👍
Thanks, have had a few in my box for awhile now, guess I’ll have to break one out and try it ! Excellent video, just good fishing and good info, subscribing now 👍👍
Thank you!
No doubt you need to adjust voltage through ECM. Good stuff thanks for the video.
Was this dealer setup?
Yessir but the dealer I bought from is primarily a saltwater dealer and they had never even seen a hotfoot
Keep the videos coming new sub and fish on the opposite end of Nc. Love the river fishing my son had their state championship on the Roanoke a couple weeks ago and it’s just bass heaven just didn’t keep them hooked up after we figured them out but he’s got a TH-cam channel called Padgett outdoors check it out if you can.
I will, thank you
Yup yup
So its been a couple month's now. what do you think about the flash?
Love it! I did the first service and it made a little oil during break in but it’s got 31 hours on it now and seems like the rings are seated good. I keep an eye on the oil. So far so good, I’ve had it to 89 with a tournament load and my partner.
@@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS did you use the NIZPRO flash? I'm really thinking about getting the NIZ. You had me out messing with my TPS. Mine was missing the mark by about an 1/8". But i was able to back my Hot foot throttle stop off enough to achive WOT. Ive been curious for a couple of years now about that flash. How much speed pickup and is it worth the $$$
I used hydrotec, there flash is Yamaha approved and won’t effect warranty if you don’t move the rev limiter. Its definitely worth it, on my ranger 520 I picked up 12mph with the flash on a 225, and on this boat with the 200 I picked up 19mph so far but im still messing with the setup
@@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS Roger that!! I'm running a 2022 ZXR20 Skeeter. Always looking for some extra speed. There is no such thing as to much speed. LOL I'm going to check out the Hydrotech sight. Thanks for the info.
@@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS I have a ranger z520 and was thinking about flashing my Yamaha 250. Which prop did you find works best and what speeds are you getting ?
Great motor. Well chosen!!
Yessssa
I believe there is a stop bolt with a jam nut on the hot foot that you can adjust to get more travel out of the hot foot. I lost some rpm’s and found out that the jam nut came loose and the stop bolt back out not letting my hot foot to go far enough down.
Yessir, I removed the throttle stop completely and still didn’t have enough travel.
yessssir!
Thats the way to teach em! I got a few good spots acrossed Fayetteville ... Going towards Sampson county on the south river and it looks alot like the black river just more narrow and swampy .. but nothing but cypress trees ... Yall are more then welcome to come out anytime and fish!
Sounds like fun, I was near there today but way up black river near Rowan
Awesome video. I love river and creek fishing in nc. Which part of the cape fear are you located?
Thank you, I live near elwell ferry but I fish the cape fear from castle hayne to Fayetteville
The correct way to adjust throttle position is reading voltage through the ecm and not relying on the alignment marks. On mine, voltage comes into spec when with the marks past each other. Not dragging you here but this is not the way to do it.
I tried to get some info on it and get it fixed correctly but I couldn’t find anyone to help me. The main issue was that I didn’t have enough cable stroke to go from idle to wot. Either way it’s getting 100% now and only cost me 75cents so I’m happy.
Yuppp
Awesome boat sir!
Thank you!
nice job fellas
What motor did you take off? Lithiums def help the way a Bullet floats and the backwash. I went to a 300r on a 20xdc and a Bobs Extreme hydraulic plate and mine still sits a tad higher
It had a 250xb on it
@@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS be safe w it buddy. Itll fly for sure...
@@tundrabasser yessir, tight lines!
whats that thing running now its broken in and flashed? got a 20XD myself. love a bullet
So far I haven’t really been anywhere to purposely stretch it out but loaded for a tourney and 2 people I’ve had it 89 in the river, I’m sure it’s gonna be a mid 90s boat by myself and a lite load,
You way up the river?
Yessir up past Clarksville
@@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS good bag
@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS where does that event go out of?
@@gregc2621 we went out of longwood ramp, it’s in grassy creek
@@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS I thought it looked like Longwood 👍
I see there are some of your problems out in your Channel and need to be repaired because if it gets not repaired your channel won't get views. What are your plans for this channel?
I see that malpass shirt! Lol
Boom baby!!! GOT DA MEAT 🤣🤣🤣 nice one
Man sure would be nice,if they could make those motors lighter.

What mount do you have for the bow graft? You definitely won't hurt thet xpress putting the tray in. Excellent video
It’s a simple ball and socket mount, I believe it’s a bass pro brand. Thank you for watching!
I have the crappie style, and I agree that the foot pedal makes it super difficult to fish standing up.I'm going to look at adding a tray. The only thing is that my storage hatch is in front of my seat.
Yup!
(Bout another thousand ) doesn't apply when you have three of them when something breaks haha , what part of Cape Fear River are you from, I live right beside Randleman Lake, maybe 2 miles from the landing.
Yessir, I’m changing hub seals on one now, I’m about 30miles from Wilmington in Kelly NC
Was told after getting it flashed these 250s like to run ~6100rpm. Highest I’ve been able to get is ~5800/5900. Maybe this is why!?
It depends on the prop also, but I would get someone to hold your throttle at wide open and look at your throttle blade in the throttle body, if it’s not open to 90 degrees or If those lines don’t match on your APS sensor then yes it could be
thank you, gained a subscriber!
