    This tutorial is so helpful. Is there any further tutorial teaching the 3D shoe modeling (the process of building the entire shoe)? There’s not much this kind of tutorial teaching rhino on TH-cam. 🤔🤔Appreciate it !!!🙏🙏🙏

    Super nice Sam, and a smart move to use cage edit to control the shape and keep it easily understandable in grasshopper. Regarding the shape definition in cage edit (20minute mark), you're scaling of the points the get a sharper outsole edge is a good solution. Another way to do it is to change the control point weight (weight). You might also want to turn your Gumball on, this will make the moving/rotating/scaling easier.

      @samwhitworth9540 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Philippe Holthuizen thanks for the tips, I'll look into control point weight and gumball, I haven't learned either of those yet!

    I’m not 100% familiar with Rhino, but does t-splines work with this method? I know they removed t splines for Rhino 6, but the way you are deforming things is almost similar to SubD modeling, which would help tons of you could model like that rather then using a cage edit. I hear Rhino 7 might get a SubD.

    Thanks for the tutorial. Even though I jumped straight into rhino (I am an amateur hobbyist) and I am limited to different disciplines and design principles other software might encourage you to focus on, I am a great fan of "Curve from 2 views" (crv2view) instead of projecting curves. Lately I moved onto a-class surfaces wagon and practicing box modelling techniques.
