I found this video while trying to figure out what the noise was coming from outside of my window, and this proved it’s a grey fox!! He is constantly barking and making little yelping noises/howls. Maybe calling for a mate?
I had one barking just outside my tent on a solo backpacking trip as I was sound asleep. Scared tf out of me. I had no idea what it was 😆

Meat in the freezer!
That brings back memories of when I would visit my uncle's house in Sachse, Texas. We had a family of grey foxes who lived in the woods next to us and we were able to watch them eat the deer sausage we'd put out to them every week I'd come over. They always kept their distance from us but not far away to where we couldn't film them. Good times!
What kind of camera do you use?
The camera I used for this hunt was a Panasonic SDR-S50 This was the last time I used it though it doesn't make very clear videos as you can see I probably got it wet to many times. I now use a Canon Vixia HF R50 It's a HD camera much better
the little ones taste better what area were u hunting ?
Judging by the tail posture that might be a male making his moves during mating season.

Nice buck. We also have issues with our cameras freezing up. If it is in the 20's or lower we have to keep our camera next to our bodies for the heat. If you are filming yourself that would certainly make that tactic more difficult.
