That brings back memories of when I would visit my uncle's house in Sachse, Texas. We had a family of grey foxes who lived in the woods next to us and we were able to watch them eat the deer sausage we'd put out to them every week I'd come over. They always kept their distance from us but not far away to where we couldn't film them. Good times!
I found this video while trying to figure out what the noise was coming from outside of my window, and this proved it’s a grey fox!! He is constantly barking and making little yelping noises/howls. Maybe calling for a mate?

I had one barking just outside my tent on a solo backpacking trip as I was sound asleep. Scared tf out of me. I had no idea what it was 😆
