Hi do you put clear coat directly on top of this? Do you sand the paint under the art? And do you sand the art before adding the clear coat?

Bob Ross used oils, not acrylics. Most of his techniques don't translate to acrylics, they dry too fast. Wet on wet oil painting.

Sweet skills bro I just started six months ago airbrushing I don’t really have a art background. I don’t really know how to draw that good but I’m good at copying shit. I can look at something and put it on another paper without tracing it now also whenever I get into something, I usually get into it 1000%. I always overdo it after only six months of just starting out airbrushing I now on 10 airbrushes I have everything from the.Iwata eclipse & a micron & black widow and an ultra from Steinbach I have two Mobius they’re OK and I just got a badger today. I also when I first started I was using master & point zero I didn’t know any better but a good airbrush does not make you have good skills. I learned that the hard way I was kind of hoping it would help. I definitely am not getting the potential of these airbrushes that they have but eventually, I think I will get the hang of it, it’s only been six months and I already have about 1000 bottles of paint or more. I’ve been trying every type of paint I can think of to see what works for me, but you can use different for different projects to say the least I’m still learning wish me luck, bro, sorry for the long message. I’m really really delirious.😂😂

The stencil you used for the project being almost all loose pieces would be harder more difficult to place cutting with paper. The vinyl cutter keeps everything in place while you put it on so floating pieces go right where they should. You would have to manually place every floating piece and this leaves lots of room for error. It how it used to be done before vinyl cutters but will take 10 times as long.

If I decide to get into another hobby and choose this one, how much money from nothing to being able to do some pretty nice work? Is there a big price difference in paint guns from beginner to professional?

Great vedio, you just taught me more than 20 vedios have,, lm a retired house builder restoring classic cars and painting them and want to get into airbrush more, lve done little spot repairs in paint jobs with them and really intrigued me to go further, old guy put a Iwata eclipse and badger compressor and all his paint and accessories, 40 dollars,, l gave him 80,, l already had the advanti harbor freight kit and a bagel 105 l got 20 years ago and never used,,, lm looking forward too it, I'll never reach your level but will be fun trying,, Thanks Mike

Not only is your linework impeccable, but dude is laying in the albedo and specular with the same color. I can tell the pigment is transparent but what pigment is it exsactly? It seems like cadmium red but thats too opaque, or is the black mixing with the red to make it seem more transparent?

Can you airbrush glass? Id like to airbrush a candle container so would I air brush inside or outside of container and would I need to bake it to make it permanant?

Mike, out of many videos on this topic, yours is the only one that explains the orientation of the trigger, AND the correct orientation of the rocking lever that goes against the trigger. What parts need to be lubricated? The plunger seems obvious. Some literature I read indicated the needle. But I would presume it matters where it’s applied. Thank you. Tom

Why do airbrush videos not get as much traction as other art videos? No one really understands the skills that it takes to master this type of art. It's not as if we just mash a button and magic comes out the other end😅 But in your case I guess it actually does😊
