The oil pump is gear drive. Watch whole video.

Need to know how the oil shaft and dowells go that hold gear to shaft,my oil shaft had broken

​@DonaldWright-gc2ld the oil pump is a assembly. It runs off of the crank gear. The assembly is removed by taking the bolts off. There is not a corresponding alignment dowel opposite the gear drive for alignment. There is not a alignment for the oil gear drive. It just fits in place and the cover dowels align the housing that holds the oil pump assembly. Did you get a new oil pump? Or just s shaft with the gear. All I did on this one is take the oil pump apart and clean it. It did not even need that there was no metal in the engine.

Really need rpo codes from glove box. Some trucks have center console and 4 door models are different too. These two below are for automatic ac. There is a option to call the dealer with the vin number get the actuators part numbers and corresponding positions. Then cross reference the part numbers to Dorman, Murry, or ac delco new old stock from ebay. Murry part # Da9008 is a kit with all the actuators. Dorman 604-106 blend door actuator.

The injector pulse is ground switched. That is why I connected the test light backwards. Check your connections. Also it is supposed to blink when the injector is signaling while cranking the engine.

I removed everything at once, as a assembly with the bracket hanging there threatening to cause problems. That is why I modded it.

I am sorry the video got messed up. It was a roadside repair. So it is gone.

@cristobalbravo9373 look at the new regulator. You will see that there is a cable that pulls the up and lowers it. That is the one to cut on the old broken non functioning window regulator. Other wise you will need to reach up into the window with a small wrench to remove the bolts. Or drill a new hole to access the bolts.

@AFmotorsport The fuel regulator is built into the fuel pump assembly on the low pressure side. So it either works or not. The varying fuel pressure needs to checked out. If the power or ground has a bad connection, that could cause problems. Or the pump is about to fail.

@@AFmotorsport p0154 possible bad o2 sensor. Check activity with a scanner.

@optpr1119 poor oil quality, low oil pressure, if it overheats the oil pressure goes way down then the tensioner is released, these models were high failure rate and there was lots of warranty work in timing chain and related parts. So if it has not failed yet, it will. It is easier to go ahead and replace with new parts and move on.

@optpr1119 it depends on who is doing the work. If you have plenty of time and are able to take it apart on a regular basis, you can only replace the guides. This is not recommended because if the guide is broken, the chain is running crazy where it wants. This is wearing the chain in irregular ways and would lead to failure. A new chain that skipped a few teeth, maybe just realign and go. It's still not a great idea. A lot of problems are avoided by 5k oil changes using synthetic oil. If the valve cover gaskets have not been replaced, go ahead and do that too.

Prolly need to blade hone it. It may be a bit sloopy. Just only do a minimal job. If you get a new pistion there are ablative coatings that can be applied to the pistion to solve excessive cylinder clearance. If it is cracked that may be a problem. I have put together a few cracked cylinders and they worked fine. I just depends how bad and where the crack is.

@onourway1834 no, it is a inspection hole. If you drive in icy roads with salt or hit the beach on a regular basis then yes it matters.

@JesseDavis-e9p bank 1 is on cylinder one side. Bank 2 is on cylinder 2 side. If you have a scanner you can unplug the sensor turn on the key. You will get a code that corresponds to the open circuit created by unplugging the sensor.
