The clear tubing that was installed at the factory has shrunk over time. I dropped the headliner and added a few inches of black hose from NAPA auto parts. The bottom of the tube where they plug in are inaccessible in the front so adding the piece to the top is required. I used a heat gun to help install the new hard plastic hose. Where the hose was not tight in the rear I added silicone to hel...

you skipped everything
th-cam.com/video/te9g3ScD6IM/w-d-xo.html
it wouldn't have hurt to show us how you removed the hoses, why skip such a vital part of this activity.
Which hoses are you referring to?
Hi Chris, will be tackling the same engine. Mom checked the oil and went out to mow. But did not replace the dipstick. It was a little tired to begin with and when I heard it stall, which it never does, I looked at her restart and it was smoking. It blew all the oil out the dipstick hole and I only got about a cup or so of oil out. Ouch. Sorry for the long discourse but do those cylinders have a cast in steel liner? Kind of looks that way. Hoping it's not that Nikasil they used to run in their snowmobile engines. I checked compression this spring and it was a little low and was hoping to get through the season before this happened. Let me know on the liners. Thanks!
@jimmahoney788 I am not sure about the liners. They will probably clean up. It may be a bit loose but it will run. The one I rebuilt was in pretty bad shape.
Thank You for taking the time to make this video !
Good job !!!!
Thank You Kindly Sir
Thanks!
Thank you
Bro can be done even easier: unscrew the worm gear and the right steering rod and the rack will freely enter on the right side))) and it is not necessary to remove the rear wheel drive transfer case
Ok, I prolly could have done it better
Appreciate you taking your time to do this video.
Excellent, plenty of grease as explained, but I would spend the extra Dollar on the large ring spanner for that extra tight fit . . .
Awesome information. I’ve been out of the shops for over fifteen years and am somewhat new to this platform. I’m currently replacing the engine in my wife’s 13 Avalanche and let me tell ya… NEVER EVER AGAIN. I now remember why I moved into service writing and then out of the industry all together.😂
Do you know where the cylinder head temperature sensor is located on a 3.0 engine for the fusion?
How'd u disconnect the harness? I can't see how
@ 15 min mark you can see the plug. remove the pump first then unplug it.
Want to see a video of how you removed the head
Please how do u remove the side cover
Thank you so much for this video. It helped me a lot!!!
I love you for this video. I wasted like 2 hours trying to figure this out on my own!
Is a 2006 now considered an older car, thanks
Some cars have keep alive memory and a body control module. If your car has that it may not work.

This was a lot more helpful then the guy who said rip off your side panel and it just takes 5 seconds.
How many hours did that taje you
Prolly around 6 hours
How did you get the cover off?
I did not take the cover off I just moved it away enough to get to the bolts.

Is these the reason why there is oil on the spark plug, i have 2008 mazda tribute with the same problem
Yes
If the spark plug is soak with oil and leads to white smoke what do i do?
@verokrizlopez1731 The spark plug having oil on it from inside the engine means the rings or pistion is damaged. Do a compression test to determine how bad it is. If it is within 15 psi of the other cylinders you may be able to clean that pistion by soaking it with solvent to break up the gunk clogging the rings.
@@chriskolar thanks for the info
You did not show how you connected your air compressor to your ac systrem
In the video there is a air hose connected to a regulator. That is the compressed air supply. I made a fitting that connects to the low side A/C port.
Can work on my golf 3 gti 1993 i.e.?....i need of turn the ignition key in on, during process? Otherway the ecu its anyway electricaly disconnected
Is your welder single phase or three-phase
Single
Thanks my friend
Thank you for the video.
I don't know why people never post the year of the vehicle, there are multiple generations of the same model. 🙄🙄

You're a chingon man..thanks got it..bad design in my opinion!
I hsve a code for p0191 is this the same sensor that would fix it ?
It's not a guarantee. You need to check the fuel pressure with a mechanical gage. I still had to change the in tank fuel pump.
I went to replace the battery in mine and saw all of this extra nonsense was involved. Battery place said they install new batteries for five extra bucks. Easiest $5 I ever spent.
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much
Did you end up replacing the cylinder head temperature sensor? CHT for short
No
Thanks had the wrsnch in my hand when i watched this most helpful advice ive seen about to try it
Cylinder 5 misfire and fuel pressure regulator code, any ideas ?
I would check the low pressure fuel pump first. A good scanner will have the low and high fuel pressures in engine data.
I want to thank you for the video, I did it, the time consuming part was cutting the tube after that it was a piece of cake, also replaced the heater door actuator which is above the fan motor, since I was there and everything was out of the way. There was no way I could of had a shop door it google it and an estimate was between 975 and 1375, my cost was 130 and the time. Thanks again Nm
Thank you Sir for this diy Video
gracias me sirvió mucho
My 2006 blew is it worth fixing or just get new car
They are good cars. Maybe take the head to machine shop and have it resurfaced. I did not do that.
@@chriskolar okay thank you they told me it’s my head gasket and it’ll cost 927$ to repair it + needed my motor mounts done just didn’t know if that was worth the fix
@keekwashington8309 that's no too bad of a price, I wonder if that includes antifreeze, oil ...
@@chriskolar right! wish you could repair it but I’m all the way in Omaha lol but thanks anyway!
I’ve got the 14mm bolt out and the everything on top.. sucker won’t wiggle free! Any suggestions? It’s definitely rusty so I added penetrating oil over night
You will have to get a pry bar and work it back and forth.
Excuse me, I have to change the thermostat, what should I buy? They had told me about the sensor and the thermostat but not about the water tubes that you show there, are they necessary?
Yes
It helps me. Thanks@
Thank you very much! I had taken the door off a year ago because my window motor failed in the down position, but I wasn’t confident about removing the exterior door handle, which snapped in half last Friday. The lock cylinder fell off and inside 5 years ago and my husband said that was not his “expertise” (code word for not gonna do it), so hopefully I will be able to put that back on with no troubles since I see what it looks like now. Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to show us.
great video...i just bought one and it runs fine at idle but when you try to rev it, it bogs
The accelerator pump provides a squirter each time the pedal is pressed. If it is not squirting it will bog. Also many other things tune up related
Try turning the fuel mixture screw out a little to make it richer.
Your video helped save me some money. Thanks!
your radiator is about to explode
Doing fine up till today and many more years.
LAZY ass way
good to see someone got their oil cooler lines remade by a shop . No matter what the stock replacements even the gm ones leak at the fititings
Hello I'm having a problem with the knock sensor in my 2003 GMC Yukon XL 2500. I've changed the original sensor, wire, and refrigerator face three times, yet the Check Engine Light is still on. The codes that appear on the scanner are P0300, P0332, and P0327. I also changed the spark plugs with the wire, and used #41-110 spark plugs as recommended by the parts store, even though the recommended spark plug number for my car is 41-962 according to the chassis number. I would like to know if the problem may be caused by using #41-110 spark plugs instead of 41-962. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks
This has been a recurring problem for many including a few I have worked on. Sometimes the ground wires will fail and cause weird problems. Either replace the ground wires or add a few new ones. Near the firewall there are a few ground wires. One to a transmission bolt and one to the engine near the oil pressure sensor. The easy way is to add a ground wire to the power steering bracket. Drill a hole and bolt on. One to the frame and one to the firewall where the existing ground is connected. A small erratic resistance in a ground wire is what causing the problem with the knock sensor. The misfire is diagnosed with a scanner at best. No scanner then you are running a part swap that can get expensive. If there is a vacuum leak, stuck or open purge valve, faulty mass airflow sensor, 3/4 is not flex fuel that I know of, there is a sensor for that and a bad reading will mess it up, poor fuel quality, clogged catilitic converter, clogged air filter, inop oxygen sensor, the list goes on and is narrowed down with a scanner easily.
I’m in the same boat did you fix it?
@Socal-1776 My problem still persists
Helpful, thank you!
