Bro i am planing to purchase new budget camera for my short film and i have few cameras in my mind BMPCC 4k and Panasonic s5 are one of them.... Whats your low light experience and whats your editing and rendering experience to get cinematic look from both camera....
Hi Bro Thank you for reaching out. This is a tricky question , both cameras are good. Similar look though the S5 has a digital look and feel to it where as the Bmpcc 4k Has a cinema feel to it. If you are a run and gun filmmaker I would advise you get the S5 but if you are a filmmaker who takes their time ,then Get the BMPCC 4K but just know the BMPCC 4K will require external power ,More memory because the file size are huge than the S5. I havent had a problem in low light because I have learnt to light my videos. i hope this helps. I have M1 Pro 2021 so the render speeds are too fast. No issues editing both files for S5 and BMPCC 4K. I prefer working with BRAW from BMPCC4K there is so much flexibility, you can do a lot to the image.

Thank you. Yes I totally agree. For years I wanted one but I ended up settling for the Lumix cameras. They are good cameras. But still I just wanted an actual cinema camera. 2 months ago I found one used with a cage , batteries and monitor at a good price. I had to get it. The camera is a dream and easy to work with.
bmp 4k has no limits....
I can tell the difference right away. The S5 has that digital sharpness, The blackmagic doesn't have that clinical look and therefore it's more cinematic and pleasing to my eyes.

Thanks bro ,Yes there is not much difference. They are very similar and can easily be matched. The S5 is slightly sharper , The bmpcc 4K is soft. Both are powerful tools. The S5 + BMVA is a beast.

Amen to pro level results on a phone, and in some ways, using something that small and flexible can be a real advantage to getting shots that are much harder to get with a proper camera. Im thinking of getting this phone soon. How does it do with RAW images? No reviewer ever talks about it. Also for video work how does it do in terms of artistic color grading, as in im pushing values up there to get a certain look. Maybe for an example I shot a video and turn the contrast and shadows all the way up to create this extreme HDR look of clouds I was shooting and the only reason that was able to be done was because I was shooting in SLOG and in 10bit 4:2:2. So what does the Xperia have? I only heard it does HLG but no one ever shows how it does or I haven't seen anyone experiment with the built in luts I heard it offers.
Thanks for reaching out. When it comes to raw images it is fine. I usually take some of my photos in raw. But don't expect the same level of quality you get from a mirrorless camera. In terms footage it's okay but when you try to do heavy grading the footage begins to break. In HLG I have only added a simple colour correction. I'm curious. Does this still give you these problems? If so how often? Also for anybody else that has this phone, does the Xperia 1 V give you any problems? If so what kind? I've been doing research on phones because I want to get a new main phone when I get the money. I've been eyeing a few models. Xperia being one of them. I just want to get a satisfactory phone for my needs and whatnot. Please let me know what's up.
It doesn't give me problems anymore , it's now fine. At the time when I made the video I had issues but now no more bugs.

sorry to say it but according to last few photos comparison phone camera is much better than big lenses camera. how is it possible that still photos on zv-e10 are more blurry and less sharp than video sample? did you change lenses in between? I've seen more videos with still photos from zve10 and they look nothing like those. that picture of the swing on the playground looks like you put wrong captions and where is 1v should be zve10, or autofocus is broken or you moved while taking picture. if I had to decide to buy one of those devices I would buy iPhone 11 pro instead
1. Sony ZVE10 has a stock lens and the stock lens is not good. The phone has 24mm f1.9 , the camera has a Sony 16-50mm f3. 5-5.6. the camera lens is not fast and it's standard. 2. Those are unedited jpegs from both devices. If you watched other videos about the camera from other people, some people will edit their photos for the sake of views. I don't need to lie to people or change things. I could have added sharpness in post but no that was not the purpose of the test. 3. The way the phone processes the images is completely different from a camera, the phones use computational photography so the images will be sharper. 4. No lens was swapped or no titles were swapped. No autofocus is broken and no I didn't move whilst taking the photos. 5. I have taken with both devices in my others videos.
