You have so many layers of effects that you can't actually hear the pickups for what they are. Turn off the delay, reverb, and whatever other hundred effects you are running and let us hear them raw.
Is that the GW2 NBK? 'Cause that color is georgeous, but the images on the Eart website seem way glossier and the neck looks not to be roasted. Great Video btw!
ARRRGHHHHHH FIIIREEEE
This was a fun video to watch. I like the pickups too. They sound really good clean and with dirt. You should be doing voice overs for a living. Nice job on the guard design too. 👍🎶🎸
Is this a noiseless pickup?
casually plays the breakup song shoutousts mateus asato
9:00 me when the guitar
I really like the pick guard, it makes that body shape so much more cohesive. I was never a fan of the pointy horn on the gw eart.
@@womplestilskin thanks so much for the kind words!
Awesome! Btw what camera did you use?
Bartolini for me al day. Those Nordy's have to much upper midrange to my ears. Barts are much flatter on eq. But of coursre, this is my personal preference on tone!
0:01 pinch harmonic vocal
I was on the fence about which neck pickup to buy to compliment the virtual solo bridge that I have, and I think this convinced me to go with the injector - nice playing!
What's the actual process of removing the pickup covers?
@@Dark__Thoughts I didn’t end up removing the pick up covers but most of the time it’s a bit of solder holding the covers on
@@mattmelodymusic So either some heating on the spot or a quick dremel cut?
Reportedly, someone from inside Seymour Duncan said that the Hyperions share some DNA with the Pegasus & Sentient set. That sounds about right to me. Thanks for the demo and the stems!
Have you tried the pegasus/sentinent set?
@@PietroBernal Personally, no, but I've heard enough demos to know what they sound like.
@@ErebosGR u think they sound close to hyperions? I’m considering getting the pegasus/sentinent
@@PietroBernal Yes, I think they sound close. I'm not a big fan of them though, they sound too boomy for modern metal/djent because of the Alnico 5 magnets. Are you considering the 7-string or 6-string version?
@@ErebosGR I am considering the 6 strings version man! I have an Ibanez az and I really love the hyperion sound but I have to sell it. That's why I am looking for a pickup close to that to install on my other guitar
Somehow I missed all your videos since your first GW2 video. It seems TH-cam's algorithm doesn't like you. Nice upgrade and with a personal touch! Love your playing and tones! Keep it up!
@@ErebosGR ah you are too kind, thank you so much for that!
Awesome!!
This is definitely the sound of hope 🤞🍀. Great playing.
those Nordstrand pickups sound 100x better in my opinion.
@@stevebadachmusic I agree I like them much more!
Great comparison. Thank you.
Looks wonderful and a very good mod base. Only thing that puts me off is the fixed bridge.
Great Base to mod, plays like a dream! I know Bridge types can be very polarizing but I did have a good experience with this one. It did sit a bit high up relative the body but I got used to it rather quickly.
@@mattmelodymusic I mean I would have used a tremolo system
Great review and looks really interesting. It’s just a pity that they currently only seem to have stock at nearly twice the price…..😢
@@nfthomas2203 Looking on Amazon US they still appear to be selling for 300$! They do have a pro model that nears $600, but I don’t have any experience with that model
Must be a fender sex
Hey I’m pretty sure I have that same guitar 😂
Phucking disgust
damn dude you are talented! great content.
@@thesldk thank you so much for the kind words!!
I love the look
Thank you so much!
Hey✨das ist so fein🫶 hast du vielleicht deine Gitarre in Audioform für mich? Vielleicht können wir Gitarre Piano Talk machen))
The pickguard is glued on the guitar? I cant see screws
So this pickguard is held down by the potentiometer screws! It is just a prototype so I didn't want to screw anything down.
I just bought my 5th Ormsby this year, also my 5th Ormsby in total. It's a Hype GTI 7. I can't wait to get it. I love all my others. I have a Goliath 7, Headless V 7, Copper Top Hype GTR 7, Demanufacture 7, and now the Hype GTI 7. I can't wait to get it in hand.
Oh man what a line up, I'm jealous!
Ive heard too much negative about Ormsby guitars but love what Strandberg is doing. The Boden essential will be my next gear buy.
Totally fair, I think you will have great luck with a Boden!
I have Two Boden 7 Strings I got this year, I also have gotten 5 Ormsby's. The Ormsby's are all better guitars hands down(well, least 4 out of 5, I haven't played the Hype GTI yet, still waiting for it).
Great job! I am confused as the finish of the guitar looks satin black but Eart only has open pore finish in black of the GW2 available. What's up with that? ;)
Vocal mix has WAY too much bass. Annoying to listen to.
Great video! Also you have a very calming voice - love that
Thanks so much for your kind words! Very happy that you enjoyed the video 😊
Thanks for the great demo. I’ve got an AZ7, but haven’t got exactly what I’m looking for yet in a metal rhythm tone. I’m curious how you feel the Hyperions stand up to something like the DiMarzio Titans or bareknuckles? Loved your Eart upgrade video by the way!
Thanks so much for the kind words about the Eart demo! I think if your after metal tone its really hard to stack up against the Titans or any Bare knuckle for that matter. These Hyperions are really nice for fusion players (in my opinion) that sometimes push gain. I think they struggle with super heavy distortion and low tunings out of the gate, though with some amp tweaking you can get them to sit quite well. The Titan was great because it had a chimey high end which was what I was after for clean tones. The reason I got the BareKnuckle Coldsweat neck was because I got it for a steal of a price, but still really enjoyed it (Prefer it in the bridge position). Seymour Duncan offers heaps of good pick ups as well ex: sentient, nasgul, black winter, pegasus.. Ive even loved their P-Rails.. If you want to go see a good demo of that pick up go check out any John Browne video with the Forest flamed maple Mayones. Purely speaking Metal Rhythem, my favorite pick up personally is a Lundgren m6. I think if you can find any of the pick ups listed above for a good price i'd pull the trigger on them!
Aw man, heavy is exactly what I don't want. I need a travel guitar. I've got my eye on the Ibanez Q series but they're more than twice the price.
That bridge is atrocious. It's the reason I sold my EART headless. Incredibly annoying to tune when it goes out.
hell yea, glad to see you are getting use out of it man! Sounding killer through the Neural stuff too
Yes dude! Gonna do a full review on the Ibanez shortly!! Love the guitar man thank you again!
@@mattmelodymusic keen for it!
Great playing brother. Big like, new sub!
Thank you so much!
How has this guitar held up after a few months?
I use my Tele primarily for playing Metal. There's just something special about that bridge pickup and how raunchy it can get for heavy tones. I spent years trying to use a Strat for Metal, but when I picked up a Tele, I immediately realized I had spent over a decade playing the wrong guitar.
Dude, do You have this in full, or "fullish" version? It's sad to keep replaying the 46 sec video over and over :D
cool vid
The entire headless saga has me against buying one. I can't imagine spending thousands on an axe, and it has issues. I would rather stick with guitars with headstocks, right pickup configuration and a Nice Tremolo that Will stay in tune.
Totally understand that, I absolutely love my tremolos!
this is awesome bro! what's the name of the song?
Thank you so much! The song was just a scratch song I crafted up for the video that never came to fruition!
Damn bro, I thought you were auditioning for Dallas Winston in a new Outsiders TV show. You probably wont get the reference....lol That blue color is nice, I'm wondering how the tuning will hold up with that headstock design. Also, I'm not big on ceramic bridge pickups.....but I do not play metal, I'm more Ed Van Halen-esque so I stick with SD 78's and Wolfgang's. It looks like you enjoy it, but is it a gigging guitar or just your studio instrument?
I love it! If all else fails I’ll have to audition for an outsiders remake 😂. I really do enjoy the guitar. I think it is versatile with the split coil capability and I’ve gotten great clean tones as well as heavier. I think the headstock guides the strings quite nicely and haven’t had any issues with tuning whatsoever yet! Definitely as studio guitar for me but I have no doubt this thing would hold up great on the road 💪
You will love the PVH which Ormsby makes then. Sounds like the first two albums of course.
@@jackbootshamangaming4541 I'll have to check this out!
AND he’s jacked, this guys the man!
You are too kind my friend 😅 Thank you so much for your kind words!
so is there anything really holding the pick guard on? I don't see any screws on the left side and i'm guessing the right side is using the volume/tone and switch controls to keep it in place?
Not currently, I have plans to make something with cnc and CAD design so I didn’t want to commit to drilling with something I wasn’t 100% satisfied with.
I jumped on one of the first batches of these. It’s become my favorite guitar. I actually prefer this bridge to all the other Chinese options. I converted mine to a single humbucker sized p90 from arcane, single push/pull knob, killswitch, and put a lp jr pick guard to cover the empty cavity. I put some mammoth slinkies on it and tune to b standard. It’s a great guitar
Sounds like a sweet upgrade man, that's awesome!
Good test. I had the BH2s on an SR505e and though they sounded fine on their own, when recording i found them to not cut through enough and were indeed too muddy, Now I have some Nordstrand Zen Blades which are so sweet
Thats awesome to hear!
Very cool sound & upgread!
