Music is Distracting
I don’t get why you didn’t just buy the 27 inch roll cab or the 34 inch full bank service cart.
I custom made this one to be at an eye level when I sit on my Matco Roller chair. I bought the 34 inch full bank but had to stand up every time I wanted something out of the top of the cart. It was very inconvenient and very bulky. This one that I made moves around easily even fully loaded with tools.
That looks great! I would love to do something like this but I do not have the skills to attempt a job like this. I would be afraid that I would ruin the cart.
I was hesitant at first, but I just took one phase at a time and thought it through. Usually just test fitting things before drilling or making any cuts works out best for me. Making the right measurements before making any adjustments tends to help the project fall right into place.
I would just buy a tool box with a certain amount of drawers in it this seems like an oxymoron
Nice
Thanks
Simpler to just leave the original Fender pickups in.
Fretwires
People need to stop using music in videos that are not movies or TV shows. Very annoying. Add in room echo and it is worse.
Sorry for the music. I'll work on some better stuff for next time. Thanks for the feedback!
Heya! Just out of curiosity, do you think this can be done to combine a 4 AND 5 drawer cart together? theyre both 30" carts
That's a good question. If I had the money, I would try that project.

Beautiful car, sounds great! Check out my 85 firebird t/a cold start
My buddy had one of those back in the day. Those and the old firebirds were the loosest, creakiest, full of rattles cars ever made.
I had an 89 Z28 same color. T-tops tail light blackouts. Was a lot of fun. Miss that car!
Gorgeous car. That's a pretty color blue. I had bought a new 1988 IROC Z28 5.7 TPI. Black with Blue stripes and Black/Gray interior. I worked at a chevy dealership when I bought it. That sucker really moved out.
My 78 C10 sounds just like that. Slower than snot though. I need to put a motor together for it
Clean car
Clean car. Is that the HO305 or did they come with 350's. Figured ask instead of looking it up to make a comment.
This Camaro has the 305 Tuned Port Injection
@@jwsguitarshop4410 sounds great, love the car.
1985 there was no 350 option 305s only I'm not 100 percent but l think in 1987 was the first year with a 350 automatic only no big deal GM Performance has loads of crate engine options for this car from mild to wild
@@gloriamaletta8667 yes, 1987-90 Irocs have the option for a 350.
Correct. Couldnt get the 350 with the 5 speed standard. @gloriamaletta8667
Ryan Blount loves these
Love it...mine was a Black 86 .... I WILL have another .
Love the color and the OG IROC wheels are the best-looking set of wheels ever put on a 3rd gen Camaro, glad you’ve stuck with them. My buddy in HS had an 86 Z-28 (non IROC) and I loved that car, it was a gunmetal grey with dark grey lower body and racing stripes with riveted aluminum American Racing wheels, it was a beaut as well.
Right on!
@@jwsguitarshop4410did you paint it?
@@JohnnyDanger36963 I painted the jambs and had the exterior painted at a local body shop.
Hello, im in nw burbs, is this iroc for sale? Let me know either way. Im serious. Thx dan
Hello Dan, I will be selling this Iroc Z on bringatrailer.com in the very near future.
@@jwsguitarshop4410 OK, i buy alot on there. Did you already set it up? If you have a number in mind tell me otherwise let me know when its hitting bringatrailer. Thx dan. What are miles?
Nice ride.
Thanks!😊
I would've just got the big 6 drawer cart
I had a 1984 with T-Tops painted the same color back in 1995. Got out the military and moved home in 2001 and it was stolen a year later. Damn I miss that car still. Chromed out the engine and put Crager deep dish rims and fat boys tires on it. Yours looks amazing too.
Wow! Not even stress cracks at the B pillar! Repainted or babied. Either way, nice ride!
Impressive clamp collection!
I would LOVE to take on this build. Where did you get the Neck, the Bridge, the tuners and etc.?
The tuners come with the neck, I betcha.
Yeah! Awesome
Promo-SM
Outstanding!
This is insanely cool. The attention to detail is impressive, you've thought of everything. I'm tempted to go to HF right now and grab 2 service carts and try this. For those saying he could have got a full bank box-yeah for $600. This awesome contraption of creativity $340 (service carts on sale for $170 right now)-and on top of that you get an extra roll cart on top of the deal. Well done!
Thanks, John. I absolutely enjoy using my new set-up. It's not bulky like other roll carts and it affords me plenty of space for my tools. I appreciate your feedback. Please post a picture of your finished carts when you get them put together. Best Regards!
seems like alot of work for 400.00 when u can buy the 30 inch 6 drawer cart for 499.99 now lol
It all depends on if you want to tie up a weekend for the project. LOL
The only thing I might have done differently is to cut the front of the bottom tray (put some rubber trim or something on the cuts) and used something else to hold the bottom box up. That would give you a little storage on the very bottom where you could stick things...
Somebody did a mod like this, but he cut the bottom part of the cabined so that the bottom drawer would slide in and out, and when putting the 2nd cabinet on top, the holes for screws on the cabinet would line up with the ones on the side pieces. instead of 2x4 he put magnets to make up the gap.
That's horribly out of tune! I'm guessing either the strings were still settling in or you hadn't set the intonation yet. I'm sure it'd be a lovely instrument once set up properly.
Yeah, it needed to set in. This was just the play test after I did final assembly. We were really excited to see if the project was going to work. Secondly, I am terrible at playing twelve string :)
Would it have been less expensive and less time-consuming to buy a cart that you needed rather than do a modification, which seems like a ton of work?
If there was something out there that was the height that I need when I am sitting in my Matco roller chair, then I would agree with you. However, I can't find anything anywhere. That's why I went this route.
Nice job!
Drawer slide locks are one up one down to release drawer
I just purchased two 8 drawer service cars to stack!
Other man crying about it really
Informative and detailed, thank you!
For the cost of two carts, you could probably get a much larger and stronger unit.
I like the smaller sized box. That's why I wanted to make this modification to the 4 drawer cart. I like the height and how easy it is to roll around.
very badass man, wish I had the want to make this happen for myself. Lack of welding and such will keep me away but this is awesome!
Can u do this with a 5 drawer?
I am not sure. I would like to know that too.
Congratulations sir you have convinced me it's as big of a pain in the ass as I thought lol it's going on my to do list
lol
I noticed you have a different work top on your 48 inch multipurpose workbench. What materials did you use and did you put it on top of the mdf board or in place of it. TIA!
Yes. It's a piece of plywood. It works much better than the thin board that came with it.
@@jwsguitarshop4410 thanks
👍👍
Really nice job and thank you for the detailed video! I just bought 2 5-drawer carts to stack and your video is the best I’ve seen on the process. 👍🏼
Awesome! Thank you!
Why not just buy the 27inch roll cab or the 34 inch full bank service cart…
@@collinkane8673 are you asking me or the OP?
Nice job
Thanks!
I got 5 drawers cart for $219+tax 2 weeks ago. Well build cart. I m now trying buy 2 US GENERAL 34” service carts, still waiting price to drop back down below $529. Had a chance to pick one up on black friday but the store I went would not load it to my SUV.
Exactly what I been looking for .. hands down the best explaining video
Thank you, Anthony! I tried to explain every detail in case someone else wanted to make one for themselves.
