rewatching this, and i think i know why the silly spinners dont drop items im pretty sure side order has a one item per enemy limit, based on my lucky runs, so i think the launchable beyblade and the lucky bombs are both items (if the tops can spawn on no item floors, its probably an exception)

Been rewatching all your Grizzco in Side Order videos, (out of order, because I’m silly like that,) and it’s been a few months since your Grizzco Splatana video where you mentioned it, but if you’re still considering making your own weapons to mod side order with, I’ve got some suggestions. Starting with the straightforward Grizzco weapons, the sort you could legitimately expect to see in Salmon Run, there are three things to consider. First, is that canonically speaking, all the Grizzco weapons are somewhere between Illegally modified and Military Grade, if not both, so this is something to consider with regards to creating models and designs for them, and installing any “weird” behaviours into them, (such as the Grizzco Brella lacking a canopy entirely, or the Grizzco Splanata’s near-zero range). Second, is the fact that there are several sub-categories in weapons, official or otherwise, which could be acknowledged to create “variant” Grizzco weapons, (the horizontal swing-only Decavitators, Canopy-firing Brellas, Mini-stringers like the REEF-LUX, the mid-fire-cancellable and rechargeable splatlings like the ballpoint, fast-charge/no-pierce chargers like the Bamboozler and Snipewriter, or the more full-charge emphasising Chargers like the Splatterscope and E-Liter, etc.). Third, all the Grizzco weapons were made and balanced for Salmon Run, not Side Order, so that’s something to keep in mind while designing them. - Splatanas: - The canon Grizzco Splatana is based on the Splatana Stamper, but there’s still two other types. The basic Splatana Wiper and the Decavitator. - For the Grizzco Wiper, it could be an inversion of the Grizzco Splatana in that it’s so fast that it will shred through pretty much anything, but you’d need the charged attacks (fast charging!) for any reasonable range or turf-coverage, and there’d be no lunge attack like with the canon Grizzco Splatana. Additionally, to balance it you could have it chew through ink really quickly. - For the Grizzco Decavitator, have it be either absurd range (to distinguish it,) or have it be charged attack only with either fast charge or incredible damage, (I’m picturing Jetstream Sam from Metal Gear, for the fighting style,). - The base, canonical Grizzco Stamper still has it’s niche, since it’d do more damage uncharged than the Wiper and more charged damage than the Decavitator, and unlike the others, the Stamper can pierce armour. - Brella: - In contrast to the base Grizzco Brella, which sacrifices it’s canopy to be a semi-auto shotgun, the Grizzco Canopy Brella is more like a riot shield. It doesn’t do much shooting at all, instead the Grizzco Canopy Brella mostly relies on it’s Canopy for everything. You could lean towards the Recycled Brella, and have the canopies be fragile but cheap and easily spammable, or towards the Tenta Brella, creating a literal, near indestructible wall that slowly crushes and inks anything in it’s way, but it’s expensive to launch, takes time to recharge and takes time to fire (this last part makes it just as effective as a shield as it is as an automatic wide-coverage roller.) - Brushes: - The Grizzco Brush can work in one of four ways: Emphasise movement (like roller), Emphasise swing (like Splatana), some combination, or introduce a new gimmick/quirk (like the Grizzco Brella sacrificing defence for attack). These are my ideas: - The Broom: Really wide ink-coverage, fast movement, the option most like the roller. But the short, stiff bristles, while incredibly damaging, make it’s swing attack range/coverage dreadful. Instead of being a brush, it’s closer to a hybrid between the roller’s coverage potential and the Splatana’s close-range damage potential. - The Mop: closer to the basic brush trail, very fast movement. But where it truly shines is it’s swing range. It’ll splatter ink EVERYWHERE, with a single-swing being somewhere between a charged Decavitator and a non-jump roller swing, and it can be spammed quite quickly. The trade-off is that the damage is abysmal, making it only good for coverage. - The Spear/Marker: The gimmick weapon. The trail is narrow enough that you’d use it for movement, not coverage, and it’s only average in terms of brush-speed. The swing attack, while middle of the pack in terms of range and speed, does very little splatter/coverage. It’s overall ink-coverage is so bad that this weapon is not something you’d want to wield when playing Salmon Run solo. Where the Marker stands above all the rest, is pure damage. No matter how you hit an enemy, whether rush or swing, it does insane damage, equal to the Grizzco Splatana, and unlike the Grizzco Splatana, it DOESN’T need to charge to pierce armour. It all balances out with it’s terrible coverage, worse than the Grizzco Splatana, it’s so bad that most ink coverage from this weapon will be the explosion from enemies being splatted. - Splatling: At first glance, it seems to be worse in terms of charge and ink-consumption than even the Hydra Splatling. Then you fire it at a crowd and discover that it’s base pierce, range and accuracy makes it a main-weapon version of the Stingray special. It may not cut through walls like the real deal, but a good enough vantage point makes it IMPENETRABLE. Just so long as you watch your ink consumption. Now some silly ideas: The Memverse Developer Weapons. Lore-wise, they are memverse-only weapons designed by Marina to test modifications to the Tower after Side Order was 100% completed. Being testing and troubleshooting tools for a virtual environment, they somewhat defy logic and the laws of physics. - The Knock-Bat (Splatana/Decavitator Variant): Incredibly low damage, swing-rate is quite slow, low range, the horizontal charged swing is serviceable in terms of sweep and distance, but takes a while to charge. It seems to be an attempt to make the worst Splatana possible without outright removing features. At least, until you go to the first floor and hit something that ISN’T bolted to the ground, and watch it go flying off the map. The Knock-Bat, with a completely empty palette, has a base knockback stat equal to having half the knockback colour chips on pretty much any other weapon. With Knock-back chips maxed out, you won’t NEED damage chips, since anything that isn’t immune to knockback will be leaving the level at great speed. - The Fill Bucket (Slosher Variant): Similar to the Knock-Bat, except instead of it’s base knockback being equal to half of the knockback chips, instead, it’s base turf-coverage is equal to three-quarters of the turf-coverage chips. With turf-coverage chips maxed out, a sizeable portion of the map will be covered with each splash.
