I actually picked up some older ones recently and saw they came with the hex bases. I think I like the new ones better because they take up less space on the shelf though it would be nice if they added color to match the themes like the old ones. @@OwenOracle oh man let me tell you, I am loving 365 day until the wedding. I just finished volume 3. The anime was a huge surprise this season. I had been eyeing the manga for months but I just was not sure so I waited on the anime and after like episode 3 I started committing to the manga. I was going to do a review of it (and still might) but I stumbled on another channel that did a great one that pretty much shared all of my thoughts. I’ll like it for you if I can find it in my watch history. Hirayasumi is my jam! I read volume one a while back and it was soooooo good you will not be disappointed. Home office romance is in the que so I should be reading that soon, maybe one of my Christmas/New years reads. Killer shark volume one was freaking awesome. It took a second for the mangaka to find their footing but once it did, it was firing on all cylinders. It’s just dumb fun lol. I haven’t read gokurakugai (I still can’t pronounce the name for shit lol) but that’s one I’ll probably start this week. Heard nothing but good things about it!

I know right! I looooovvveee friend groups the most. I honestly wish there were more manga that focused strictly on friend groups! Maybe a little romance but most on the friends. I think the back half of kubo wont let me be invisible really nails this and is what made it so endearing to me. I haven’t jumped back into polar opposites but I didn’t like my initial read though it’s about time for me to give it another chance. Speaking of which I’m about halfway through kirokiya-san and I have mixed feelings. Kinda liked the way it started but it kinda hit a wall quick but I’m going to push through. I see something good in there. Definitely better than I thought though. Yeah it’s crazy how manga fans are. I’m down to give anything that looks cool a try I don’t care if it looks or feels like something else, if they find away to adapt it to characters that I can invest in then I’m happy. But Kagurabachi sllllaaaapppsss! I’m inching closer to cracking open boys abyss. It might be a Christmas Eve/Christmas day binge. I’m thinking of spending those two days playing some catchup. They are doing some banpresto prize figures in the Tokyo blade costumes. Right now Aqua,Arima and Akane are up for preorder. I’m debating if I’m going to just try to get the whole set but my Oshi no ko shelf is looking really full right now and I have more coming :(. NGL they look great for prize figures. I hope someone does a scale of Akane because I’m going to be all over that!

Hey! I think I mentioned where I got everything in the video but I got them from good smile’s website and big bad toy store. If you mean any of the other stuff around my room it’s been a combination of Barnes and noble, Mercari and other various online and in person store (I don’t remember them all as I’ve had some of this stuff for years). lol it’s because they are CUTE! They have so many different properties too! I have quite a few I’ve picked up over the years but I really like the doll ones. They remind me of action figures and I like the option of being able to change the outfits to more casual clothes. I’m a fashion dude at heart so it’s right up my alley. Happy thanksgiving fam!

I honestly really like BAM! They had more locations but went through bankruptcy some years ago and their footprint shrunk considerably. I was really surprised the we have 3 in eastern North Carolina. I also noticed that none of them are in cities that have Barnes And Noble locations. Yeah, I edit the videos myself and I’m honestly not the best at it and I try to automate the process and much as I can. I used ducking in premier pro but I couldn’t change the audio levels anymore after that. Or at least I couldn’t figure out how to. I’m hoping to get better with time though. @ honestly you should! It’s so much fun and I’m always looking for other manga tubers to watch and get recommendations from, especially older out of print titles to check for. There’s just so much stuff out there and everybody’s tastes are so different. There’s stuff I’ll see on shelves that I want to try but I’m not sure about but if someone I watch mentions liking it I’m more willing to give it a shot!

Soara really surprised me. I saw a few other manga tubers talking about it but never the plot. I decided to give it a shot and really blown away by the premise. I’ve read the first two volumes so far and I’ve been holding out on the third until the fourth drops though I’m not sure how long I can hold out cause the story is damn good! Smoking behind the supermarket is chefs kiss rom-com. It just reminds me so much of like a 90s romantic sitcom that could just run on and on. It’s so legitimately funny and the characters are so well written and fun. I could watch those two go back and forth all day long. It’s like you never want a confession. I just want to see how many creative ways Yamada can tease Sasaki. It just might be a perfect series to far. I feel you on the ecchi books, I used to be the same way but I find them to be so fun to read to be honest. Either way, I’m glad you found some stuff to check out! That’s the thing I love about manga tubers, though there is overlap we all have different tastes so you can always find stuff you might have missed to check out!

Frieren is soooo good. Honestly as much as loved watching the anime, I think I like reading the manga more! I think it’s just because I can kind of sit with the quiet moments a little more and contemplate what they mean to me more. The anime is so good though you won’t be disappointed. I honestly think what makes Tokyo revengers so good is the characters around the mc though I will give takamichi a little credit. Though he’s a little too whiney, he does stand with homies no matter what, though it typically leads to him getting his ass beat lol. Mob Psycho is sooo good and so is one punch man. I think one punch man season 1 might be a perfect first season of anime from an art and story telling standpoint. It’s another one I have watched a whole lot. Season 2….ehhhhh but the manga is pretty good though. I’ve always loved Inuyasha, it’s definitely one of those adult swim throw backs that I hated at first but as I really started paying attention to the story telling, I fell in love with it. Yes! I’d actually been eyeing it for a while and got a great deal on the box set on Mercari and I had to pounce. I think I’ll probably start it soon. I’ve only heard great things about it. Blade of the moon princess was such a fun ride, I just want to warn you, volume one was a little rough in the first few chapters of volume but really comes together near the middle. @sadmarcus not sure where you heard that, but it's not ending with volume 4! It's still ongoing (Volume 6 releases in Japan late January), and as someone who's up-to-date with the manga, it's evident that there's still plenty more to come :)

That’s great news! Usually when I’m into a series, once it gets licensed for English volumes I stop reading (or in the case of this one I’ve only ever read the English volumes). I just love reading the physical books. Anyway, when I’m buying into a series I’ll usually try to look up how many volumes are coming out for shelf space reasons and I could have sworn I read this was complete at 4. Either way I’m happy to know I’ll get more of this. It does feel like the format could run for a good amount of time and maintain its humor and charm!

Yes!!! Have you ever read Please go home Miss Akutsu? It’s actually similar though she’s more of a delinquent than a gyaru but similar premise. I actually LOVE that one. I’m definitely looking forward to reading Nakamura-San. It’s got similar vibes. Also thanks for watching fam!

I’ve enjoyed it so far no doubt though I haven’t finished it yet. I think I do cringe a little at the high schooler with a corn star but I mean it’s manga 🤷🏿‍♂️. I think I’ve read three volumes so far and I didn’t think it was great so far but it’s a fun ride. I we get more insight as to where all of these kaiju are coming from and where she got her powers from but if I don’t I’m cool with that as long as the story is solid! It was honestly a pretty dope please I would definitely recommend! I think it’s going to be solid though I think I’m a little more excited about Nakamura-San, the uninvited Gyaru because they are adults lol. I only relate them because they are both gyaru stories whose volumes released around the same time . I need to just go ahead and read them both but the backlog is getting out of hand. @@ThugStankdope yeah I know that particular part of golden sheep is contentious in the community and you remember it correctly but I think most people forget it’s because the MC pretty much abandoned him after the bully’s dad got caught in the really major scandal (he was some kind of major political figure I think) and as a result the bully character started getting bullied and shunned by everyone and the MC who was his best friend never stood up for him or even checked on him. He pretty much abandoned him and that’s what started his villain arc. I just think the self deletion stuff at the beginning is so prominent and stick the readers it make it hard for some people empathize with the bully. However I will say that’s it’s always emphasized throughout the story that the MC never fought back because he always considered the bully character his friend and it was implied that before we got the bully’s dad character’s back story that there was some guilt the mc felt about it. Beyond that I really liked the way it ended because it ended on a more hey we are all finally together again, albeit sharing the wounds of the past and maybe we will drift apart over the years but we will always have these memories and moments good or bad. I also think particularly between the MC and their bully that things would never be like they were and that could never be a close as they were but there was mutual respect established between the two of them. I hope this long rant makes sense and at least explains at least how I interpreted it lol. As for vagabond, I just finished volume 2 earlier this week and it’s a damn good story! It’s such a breeze to read and the artwork is phenomenal. I love almost all of the characters and I had a hard time putting it down. It truly is an epic! Thanks for watching! I truly appreciate it!

Well it depends. A standard volume is usually around 11.99-$15. Omnibus 2 or 3 in 1 are usually around $20-$25. There are a lot of avenues to get deals on it. Crunchyroll’s store pretty much always has their anime on discount and they have various sales throughout the the year. Also if you have a paid Crunchyroll subscription, you get at least 10% extra off. There’s also buying second hand, I recommend Mercari. I’ve gotten quite a few multi volume lots for very cheap there. Books a million online is pretty much always 15% off all manga and they usually have some kind on code you can find for extra off. Barnes and Noble has their membership program. It’s steep at $40 per year you get 10% off all purchases and free online shipping. If you don’t mind the books possibly having dings on it Amazon usually has manga for pretty cheap. The best thing I can say is make a budget, shop around and stay focused on the series you want to collect to read. And don’t be afraid to buy second hand!
