I feel like this theme would have been great for Shockwave, (this would be if optimus didnt kill shockwave in dotm) after the death of megatron he would have decided that he could do better no longer under the leadership of megatron, he would have manipulated the humans to attack autobots, collected parts to test and use their parts, collecting sparks to power his machines, he knew he cant use the matrix himself so he wanted to use prime as a vessel to get the power of the matrix.
