Thanks for stopping by its much appreciated. On this channel we have some video clips and photos of my Scania 4 series refurb process also a VW Transporter T5 tidy up, some hobby projects, various other content attempting some restoration and repairs. We are not professionals, just enjoy tinkering with things that would otherwise see the scrapyard or export boat.
Next on the Project list we will be attempting to somewhat restore our recently acquired 1978 Zetor 6711 with absolutely no experience in tractors. Sure what could go wrong ?...I will get better footage from this project please excuse some of the video quality on previous projects.

I've put a few photos before the video to show the journey so far with the Zetor 6711. Seems like it's took forever to get it this far it's difficult finding the time to get near it, thankfully that's almost all painting finished apart from the cab which is next on the list also need to source some new tyre to set it off 👌🏻 #ursus #zetor #restoration #diy #farmlife #diypainting.

After almost a year of owning the Zetor 6711 we have finally gotten round to painting the tractor. Now that painting has finished we will let the parts cure for a while before fitting hopefully next weekend. Thanks for following the project this far subscribe to see our end results in a few weeks.

Zetor 6711 finally gets some paint. After many hours cleaning we finally managed to get the main body of the tractor painted. Not 100% sure the colour is correct to be honest I expected more of a Gold, is what it is and definitely looks much better than before. Hopefully soon get the side panels and Mudguards in paint and get this one finished.

Moving the Zetor 6711 to a more suitable shed for paint preparation, didn't quite manage to get much time with the camera as the steering wheel decided it's not for coming off! Any suggestions? We soaked it with penetrating fluid and will let it sit for a few days before trying again. Has anyone any knowledge as to what the torque requirements and valve clearance are for doing the head gasket j...

We also get our first implement for the the tractors an old rear transport box which came from the same farm as our old Fordson and has kindly been given to us for free. Winter 🥶❄️ is fast approaching so back to the old Zetor 6711 to strip it down and take panels away for painting, made a small start on cleaning some pats of the tractor of surface rust using wire wheel on a small grinder. I allways clean or change the filter, and if there is no cab on the tractor I make one to avoid water running inside gear or rearbox, and for my own sake.

Hi Kevin, not managed to post new videos much as no internet at our new building site just yet but hope to get back at them soon. I ordered them from ATP motorz in Chech Republic you will find them on google. I have a manual I could look up the part numbers if you needed.

Thanks for the appreciation! The Zetor has been quite busy lately and we use it most days, we are getting ready to build a new house! I will update the channel soon on things I’ve been working on.

Yes there is, please remember I’m not an expert when following my advice.
Recently changed dirty filter due to lift arms dropping under load and jumping . Online research suggested o-rings in hydraulic distributor may be a good place to start

Does your brakes gets warmed up after ride your tractor.
Brakes are fairly good since we done this job I have not really worked them that hard to overheat.

Update coming over next few days on how things are progressing.
Did you loosen the Handbrake bands before taken off the Portal Axle? If not maybe its the Reason it doesn't really wanna come of at 10:20.On the Drum is a lip and normally the band does(should) not slip over it because its tight fit.
Hi Frank, We did end up loosening it up some more, it was all trial and error I’d never attempted this kinda job in the past. Fairly familiar with the workings of it now though.
My steps are exactly the same. This has saved me head some scratchin 😂. Did you ever get the top bit to sit in flush?
We ended up having to bend it up slightly using the forklift, rough but it definitely helped so be gentle following my advice 😂👍🏻.

Great tractors, Very simple to work on, I used it all summer this year with no problems at all. Have a Massey 135 coming very soon which belonged to my late Father.
Did you change the diff cover seal , if you did was there a spring inside it Thanks
We only changed the seals were the splined shaft goes in, this job was the first I’ve ever worked on a tractor. Are you doing something similar?
@@RedShedProjectsScotland I am aye, Have brakes and clutch done ,. Getting crankshaft done at the moment Have new panels for it , Was one of the zetor s of the farm, was bought second hand 1988, A slow moving project , How many litres of paint did it take to spray yours ,
@@thomasmclaughlin2206I didn’t get the chance to enhance mine much further as we bought site to build a new house and it’s been working all summer. Hopefully after the house is finished il get a decent shed put up and il finish it probably. I bought 5 litres of Red and 2 litres of beige colour and had loads left over.
@@RedShedProjectsScotland Ok that not to much paint , any left over will do the 6718, I seen in a video you were thinking of putting on zetor cab , you would need a 6911 cab to fit that tractor because of the diesel tank , And you would need new clutch and brake pedals ,
@@thomasmclaughlin2206 I ment to refit the Duncan cab it came with its in quite tidy condition, although I like being able to just hop on and off without the cab. Probably only really use it in the better weather it’s currently under cover for winter, if I get time tomorrow I may do an update on what I’ve been up to with the new place.

We have 2 of these and the 3 pt hitch arms work on neither we have changed the oil and O rings any ideas? And where's a good place to find parts it seems impossible to find anything for them they both ran great thanks

Silly question, but is the PTO lever engaged? If it isn't engaged (shifted to the aft position) then the hydraulic pump isn't powered. If it is engaged and you can hear it running, then you likely have a problem with the valves in the lift cover.

This is a nice machine! With some love, even your children can drive it. Not like nowadays crap where you cant fix anything yourself and gotta call a tractors brand service for any and all small repairs, ehh.
