The Tellington TTouch Technique
In This Video we discuss the Tellington TTouch Technique developed by Linda Tellington Jones. Linda, is a classically trained equestrian with a background in Massage and Body Work. She developed The Tellington TTouch as a gentle treatment that can be used to help horses to relax, relieve anxiety and treat the fears and phobias that can occur in horses due to a previous trauma.
Here we show you how to do the basic TTouch which is simply tracing a small clock face on your horses skin using the tips of your fingers. Keeping your four fingers close together and cupping your hand in a C shape you will Start tracing the circle on your horses skin. Begin your movement as if at the bottom of small clock, i.e. at 6 O'Clock and continue by gently moving the horses skin in a circular motion, until you complete a circle and a quarter finishing at 9 O'Clock. When the first movement is complete you can slide your hand to next position before starting the next movement.
This video is simply to show you the basic TTouch in Action, for a more comprehensive article on Tellington Touch you can check out the Article on our Website, with shows you some of the Areas where you can begin to work and also the first book that I started with.

มุมมอง 1.4K3 ปีที่แล้ว

HOW CAN YOU BE CONTACTED??? have questions, have horse who's lower jaw has been moved (kick?) about an inch off to the right. BRIEFLY: 1. treated for pus wound and xray no break seen 2. people didn't notice he couldn't chew. 3 major weight loss, 4 vet again some arthritis. 5 massage therapy, no progress, 6 we 'rescued' horse now eating pellets, quids hay terribly. 7 vet chiro only found C4 to be out, 8 more xrays nothing found, full dental exam. 9 all 3 vets marveled at excellent teeth. 10 we are doing gentle manipulations of jaw, horse seems to like it. WE NEED ADVICE, this can't be the only horse to ever have this problem.... WHAT should be done? Can it be put back in alignment???

They may also yawn when they are looking forward to something - hucul mare; when we go home from pasture, she yawns a lot becuse she knows there will be something yummy after work. And then when waiting to go back to the pasture - there is grass. She is not alone, has another mare and they are 24/7 outside. BUT, that might be "release of tension" as well. "Hurry, hurry, where is he? Ah, he´s coming!" and then yaawn! But I guess it´s highly situational :) The other reasons are new to me, so thanks :)

The horse that i ride with always yawns a lot before i put his bridle on. I know i myself yawn a lot when i’m stressed, so i thought maybe it’s the same with him. How can i make him more comfortable? Or maybe he’s trying to tell me something else?

Hi Sanelma, perhaps try and make bridling fun, by giving him a treat once the bridle is on? I do this with my horses, and they really engage and look forward to the treat when the bridle is on, I use a click to reinforce the reward. Clicker Training is a wonderful way to get horses to engage for positive reinforcement. Here is the site of a Lady that I find very good and there is lots of free video on her site too. clickthathorse.com/. I don't get paid for this link, it is just a lady that we have done an Interview with in the past. Try this first, I hope that helps
