For this error: stuck on line 69 DCU [REPRO]Vup Completed. then i have tried this So, what I did: formated the 32GB Sandisk USB to FAT32 on Windows; loaded all the USB 3 files to above prepared USB deleted "phaseup.dat" file from the root of the USB 3. inserted USB stick into the car and started the car the UPDATE begun and I waited until the blue screen said "successful" shut the car down, removed USB and started car up checked under Settings -> General -> Software update did not have Audio 1011 but 1020, but went on and checked Model Information and added a note of DCU model number and DCU Part numbers (in my case 86140-02740) inserted the same USB back into the computer and from the root went to following folders: "VehicleParameter -> DCU -> and looked for the DCU Part number I noted down before (so in my case 86140-02740. Then from there I went as follows: DCU -> FactoryID -> and opened "env_pana.txt" file. in the env_pana.txt file search for the line "VP_PANA_model_ID=" and note down the following model number (in my case 17TDT2EU-DA30) then go back to the root directory of the USB and delete the file corresponding to your CURRENT DCU model number, in my case 17TDT2EU-DA02 so I deleted file 17TDT2EU-DA02_7910.kwi BUT remembered (copied to notes/notepad) the file name. I then looked for the file consisting of 17TDT2EU-DA30 which in my case is 17TDT2EU-DA30_7910.kwi and renamed it into 17TDT2EU-DA02_7910.kwi After this is done, I shut down the car, inserted USB, started car up and let it finish the installation.

Try these steps: Issue: Stuck on line 69 DCU [REPRO] Vup Completed. Steps Taken: 1. Format USB Drive: • Formatted a 32GB SanDisk USB to FAT32 on Windows. 2. Load Files: • Transferred all USB 3 files to the prepared USB. 3. Delete File: • Deleted the “phaseup.dat” file from the root of the USB 3. 4. Start Update: • Inserted USB into the car and started the car. • Waited for the update process to complete until the blue screen displayed “successful.” 5. Post-Update Check: • Shut down the car, removed the USB, and restarted the car. • Checked under Settings -> General -> Software Update. • Noted that Audio 1011 was missing but 1020 was present. 6. Verify Model Information: • Checked Model Information and noted the DCU model number and DCU Part number (e.g., 86140-02740). 7. Update Files on USB: • Inserted the USB back into the computer. • Navigated to the folder VehicleParameter -> DCU and found the noted DCU Part number (e.g., 86140-02740). • Opened DCU -> FactoryID and edited the “env_pana.txt” file. 8. Note New Model Number: • In the env_pana.txt file, found the line “VP_PANA_model_ID=” and noted down the model number (e.g., 17TDT2EU-DA30). 9. Replace DCU File: • Deleted the file corresponding to the current DCU model number (e.g., 17TDT2EU-DA02) from the USB. • Renamed the file with the new model number (e.g., 17TDT2EU-DA30) to the name of the deleted file (e.g., 17TDT2EU-DA02_7910.kwi). 10. Final Update: • Shut down the car, reinserted the USB, and started the car. • Allowed the update installation to complete.

Hi Costel, first, thanks a lot for doing this! I've just tried with my 2019 Corolla but unfortunately it didn't work. The model is 17TDT2EU-DA01. I got first the Error 001 message and proceeded to use your fix, the software was updated sucessfully because the Audio version changed (was 1011 and now is 1020), but nothing happens when I connect an Android phone. Found another person commented that his Audio was upgraded from 1020 to 1023, mine is still 1020 after the update... Any ideas please? Thanks.

Grazie ancora .
Mate, it should work for your car. This multimedia unit you have from factory in the car will not support wireless CarPlay or android auto. Playing music from your phone via CarPlay is actually of lossless cd quality audio, unlike bluetooth or standard mp3
For those which are wondering about the 3 USB sticks: as can be seen in the video, Costel's Toyota was without nav so it needed only one USB (the 3rd one)! My 2019 RAV4 (17TDT2EU-DA02) is with nav, so I needed all 3 USBs (links and usage order is specified in BE_00439T_TME pdf: sticks 1-2-1-3-2). Whole retrofit upgrade procedure took 1.5h so be very patient: don't turn off or disconnect unless instructed to do so! Original versions vs final versions: DCU = 17TDT2EU-DA02 -> 17TDT2EU-DA30 MEU = 17TMT2EU-FA00 -> 17TMT2EU-FA10 Audio = 1000 -> 1075 Nav = 1512 -> 1120 Note: after all these, I also used a 4th USB with only 17TMT2EU-FA10_1170.kwi and 17TDT2EU-DA30_0076.kwi (17TMT2EU-FA10_latest zip and 17TDT2EU-DA30_latest zip from toyota-motor-europe) which did an additional final upgrade: DCU = 17TDT2EU-DA30 MEU = 17TMT2EU-FA10 Audio = 1075 -> 1170 Nav = 1120 -> 1170 In the end, there is an excellent Android Auto connection: both Google Maps or Nokia/Here Maps work excellent and navigation indications are also shown on the digital speedometer (same way as the original Toyota maps did).
This is an amazing description mate. Hope it will be useful as well to others!!!
Hi, where exaclty is BE_00439T_TME pdf ?
Hi can you please share the others USB? Where's this pdf file?
@@ozkneto find me on facebook mate, got the pdf
Thank you so much for posting this and offering the advice. I have tried and failed however! Copied the files to a USB as explained. However, when I put the USB into the car, it starts to update the system automatically from what looks like a 'DOS' screen, and not through the toyota infotainment system as you have on your video. Then, all seems to load in absolutely fine. At the very end of the process, I get a red coloured 'error' message and it doesn't work. Not sure what I did wrong pretty happy I followed all of your steps exactly.
Do I need to delete the files from the USB first which do not relate to my DCU model?
Not necessarily, but you could try mate. Make sure to let us know!

Mate there were pol here who managed to get the update done. Not sure is only the maps. Nonetheless. Get in touch with the ones that did it perhaps for an insight

Not going to work mate. This firmware is only for eu spec vehicles i am afraid.
HUGE THANKS to Costel !!!! For anyone saying, that this does not work, you need to FIRST check the compatibility of your multimedia and THEN extract the files as shown in the video. In my car it was completely different as a process, but the outcome the same. Buddy, cannot thank you enough actually !! Greetings from Germany
Glad it worked mate! Enjoy your updated unit!!
What was your model unit, and as well what was different perhaps others got the same and unsuccessfully completed!?
@@CostelTarata model Number: 17TDT1EU-DA31 As I said the process was different. In the way that I turned the engine on first and at the same moment stuck the USB stick under the Multimedia unit. Then the multimedia restarted. A few seconds after a grey screen appeared with all the information of the stick. For at least 20min I did nothing other than wait for the process to end. In the 20min the multimedia restarted multiple times. At the end I was asked to turn the engine off and on, so that the software could be installed. The rest is history 😎

What does the basic one look like? It it the one the with the apps only on the bottom and it ain't full screen?

No clue mate. Try extracting the files again, reformat the drive and try the process again. Otherwise no idea and no one here had this issues to tell us what fixed the issue
Done the USB as you showed but getting a 001 error with a red screen I did have to use a Mac to format the USB extracted files and move them over to the USB
Not really know what could be the issue mate. Try a different usb prepared on a different PC? No clue then. Format the drive using a macbook pc perhaps?
Hi.. I did like u said.. put all the files in the root folder of fat 32.. the car booted into red error screen and it says that "panasonic up has failed.. Installation has failed. Dcu error 0081 parameter 0. Dcu programing mode. How can i exit this programing mode? I cant use the screen at all..
The update should only be found manually and not automatically. The firmware is for the audio unit only, so at worst, if something goes wrong (which shouldn't), only your audio module should be affected. I have personally done this on at least 50 cars without issues, both with and without navigation. Please ensure you prepare the flash drive correctly. Format it using FAT32. If you have already tried with Windows, use a MacBook instead. Then, copy the files into the flash drive's root folder as shown in my video. If your car unit is not working at all, it is not due to the firmware, as the update is only for the audio part of the unit. Try again and let me know.
I tried with a new flash drive and since i dont have a screen (red screen) i hoped that tge update will start when u start the car.. But tge screen is steel red screen.. I have no radio, bluetooth, rear camera.. I dont know how to exit this error red screen.. Dcu programing mode.
I tried to enter service mode with the 3 times head lights on and off with audio button pushed.. But that not working as well.. i think there is a reset button there.
Hi guys- I’ve got the same issue with the fail and red screen at the end. Doesn’t seem to affect the software after I restart the car. However I can’t stop the car from automatically starting the update rather than going through the menus and only selecting the audio to update. I’ve followed the rest of the guide , memory stick formatted to fat32 and have taken only the root folders. Any tips? Thanks

I would recommend sticking to USB, try with the files included. If not working leave your comment below. But the key is always the usb. No additional folders are needed as the car will not see them
@@CostelTarata Used a Fat32 - 32GB USB stick. All files and folder onto root. Turned on car engine and inserted USB.
