I started my career as a graphic designer in print media in 2006, and for some time I worked primarily with publishers specialized in tourism-related media. In 2013, I chose to pursue freelancing in order to focus on my personal projects. This allowed me to work directly with artists and to become specialized in creating art publications.
Since then I've had the pleasure of working with a range of clients including Even Mehl Amundsen, Andrew Mar, James Martin, Kim Jung Gi, Katsuya Terada, Jesper Ejsing, and many more. I also created and headed Firestarter Community Magazine from 2017 until June 2020, when it was acquired by CGMA, who continues to work with me and my team to bring educational content to the creative industry with the Nexus Mag.
For a couple of years, I have been working as a Creative Consultant for the Playgrounds events and also with CD Projekt RED for their event Promised Land.

Artbook | REVIEW | Astromythos by Jon Sideriadis
Montald has a Flemish ring to his accent, so I guess he's from the Dutch speaking part in Belgium and you wouldn't pronounce his name in a french way. Nice book btw
such a bad artbook for a so expensive collectors Edition. Just big pictures to fill a lot of pages. No bestiary and boss prescetches no description. Just huge pictures to give the impression that it is a big book. Nice try blizzard.
PLEASE SHOW THE BOOK TITLES AND AUTHORS NAMES LONG ENOUGH TO WRITE THEM DOWN SO I CAN LOOK THEM UP ON THE INTERNET...NOT JUST FOR 2 OR 3 SECONDS WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY NOT LONG ENOUGH!!!!!!!! THANK YOU.....
There is a little hack that I use, Mister Capslock, which is a button that makes you the master of time. A button on the bottom left with two vertical lines. If you hit it, you will be able to write down the names of the covers maaaaany times. ;)
@Spiridude hi yes I do use it but it iften makes a mess of the way the you tuber pronounces everything and is often then not very accurate
Such fantastic talent; so, so sad to hear he died so horribly young.
Just got mine. Gorgeous work!
As Ukrainian: thank you so much for the support! Appreciate it ❤
Will there be a second printing? Or a second book with a reprint of the first? I've missed the kickstarter back then, and I really can't get a hold of this book. Even tried contacting Andrew Mar.
I'm considering getting the book now myself, seeing I see its a thing. I liked the movie, however I kinda disagree with you about Batman not being too invincible, because I thought he was pretty invincible when it came to him being shot, and Bruce's suit being less a Batsuit and more an Iron Man one. Given how we see him causally walking into machinegun fire which didn't seem to slow him down in the slightest. But other than that, I thought it was a pretty good movie. I also quite liked the Batmobile, being more like a muscle car.
✝️ Subbed/Liked! Great VID! God bless in ‘24! ✝️
Sozo Mika's (?) works looks like the love child of Adam Hughes and Rockin' Jellybean!
@Sozomaika
@@Spiridude Saw that in the description after I finished typing! Thanks.
Hi, considering you're the 'artbook guy' has Joao Ruas released one that's accessable to the UK?
As the shop is currently offline it doesn't appear anything is really accessible right now
@@Spiridude Sorry, is this regarding you or him? If it's you, it doesn't matter. I just want to know if anywhere sells it that can ship to me.
@@Chan-zn7wb oh i meant his shop. i dont know of a place that provides such a book, sorry.
@@Spiridude Thanks for your answer. I've been looking at Liber Distri, but it doesn't have all the artists I'm into, like Tran Nguyen. I'm not sure where else to go.
Pretty late to the party here but on the topic of the artist credits it is most likely because Dark Horse simply were unable to get enough information to give proper credit to the individual pieces. Quite often 'officially licensed' does not mean it was made in collaboration with the company/studio but that they received permission, access to a lump of approved files and maybe some interviews. Finding out who made what specific piece of concept art or what team as it is often a collaboration would require a lot of assistance from the studio that frankly is asking for a lot. Also as a side note it is quite possible that the studio would struggle to find who specifically did what especially for the earlier work as it is stuff that was never intended to become publicly released or even used at all. It's idea generation, brainstorming, proof of concepts that there would have been hundreds of. It's the equivalent of having a large group of people sketch in the same notebook and then figuring out who drew what once it was full. Sure the artist would know what they did but not necessarily what another drew. Am I disappointed that I can't know the name of the artist that did an incredible piece of work? Yes. Am I going to call them out for not giving that level of credit? Not really because it is likely that it just wasn't feasible with what they had access to.
True! Splinter Cell is good stealth game ❤
I remember to H.R giger in his inks.
Thank you for introducing me to this fantastic artist!
Dude great stuff! I just found this by chance! Phil Hale is the GOAT
Why don´t show de cover of de BOOK?????????????????
What an outstanding artist and craftsman. Yoann's work is like Alan Lee's on steroids.
My favourite page Heimdall 😍
Great review🎉❤ I definitely will buy myself
Do you know if they will ever restock this book ? They wont answer me
Who exactly do you mean?
In general I find the art of AC2 restricted when compared with historical cities in the other games... Florence and Rome are never portrayed with the glory that Paris and London are for example and I think it's a shame
I think the standard edition covers are better than the deluxe, BUT the prints!! I had to quickly cancel my order of the standard. It's on sale rn, standard $50, Deluxe down from $240 to $70aud
gonna bave to pick this up this guys work is great
It was nice to see more or less a flip through of the entire book, EBAY is wild with the prices. Thank you for sharing!
What an absolutely delightful collection you've got there! Thank you for sharing!!
Cheers! :)
just found your channel while searching videos about phil hale. loved your content, you guys gained a new follower!!
<3
Please give us some time to screenshot the book title or do a subtitle or even better .. a list. Thanks! Great selection.
The page depicting Bruce's Cafe Racer is wrong. It is correct about it being a Honda CB750 Frame but they show Catwomen's BMW R Nine! Not sure why there has been little to no coverage about his drifter bike.
I think I have some art books in my collection from other productions that credit the artists in some way. I remember seeing their full names underneath various concept sketches. But yeah, all art books should credit all oarticipating artists
I found this book in a used bookstore way back in the early '80's! I went through a spiritual crisis/breakdown in the late '80's and tossed a lot of my comic and artist collections into the garbage (couldn't let all this satanic stuff pollute someone else's mind, could I? 😉) ... worse, I ripped the book apart and tore it up!! Which means: give your collections to a trusted friend for safekeeping until you get over the madness!! Believe me you'll thank yourself decades later i stead of kicking yourself (like I do!!) ....There's no way I can afford to get a copy now..I console myself with a digital copy found online....
wow, what a story :D
Tim has released a 4th 2019-2020 its supposed to be his largest one, and iMYo it seem to be his best content. So if you dont have it already you should get it :)
Yes, I have heard about it, but since there is such an overlap in content I am not sure if I will. Or am I misinformed?
Why did you flip through it like that? :O WAY too fast! I wanted to see way more! Lol
Haha, I probably should make a new one anyway. This is one of my first videos :)
I miss it, I wish they will offer it for sale again.
Herbert also blocked his gay son from seeing and saying goodbye to his terminally ill mother. Monster
yeah that's just evil
@@Spiridude On a positive note - -big fan of your books and really enjoying your videos!
Thanks Richard!
Alternate title - "Man ruffles through paper for 10 minutes"
I hesitated because of the price, but this convinced me to get it. Absolutely beautiful!
Why blur everything out? There are plenty of other videos that don't blur the images, and they don't require sign-in verification. Lame.
Because that's still against the youtube guidelines. They just don't enforce them fairly. You don't always get away with it.
i met her a few years ago. A highlight of my life. She's genuinely kind. Thank you for sharing. Going to save up a little and get the book.
Just came across your channel, really cool videos! I haven't been in the TH-cam artbook space long, but always good to see videos from others. Keep it going man, got a new sub!
Cheers! You got a great channel going! :)
@@Spiridude Thanks! Plodding along and it's going OK, hoping to add reviews sometime in the future if my schedule allows it to :) How many books do you have in your collection?
@@TheArtbookCollectorgosh, i remember counting the other day with folks on my discord. Probably around 500? I got quite a few in the basement so it is hard to tell…
@@Spiridude Damn, that's a lot! All artbooks or is it a mix? I have just over 300 now, all artbooks for games, movies, shows, comics and a few other bits
@@TheArtbookCollector Artbooks only, with comics it is more. Probably another 3-400 comics :)
Hey any Arcane or fortiche books out there?
Thanks for video, did not know artist. Nice book
love the art in this book nwh was awesome just hate that twitter tries to nitpick every scenario.
That's one of the reasons why I am not there :D
@@Spiridude good point haha , i wish we could get an amazing spiderman 3 movie his universe felt more grittier with the color correction and all.
She has such beautiful work, I recently got her Raw Materials v2 book and it's a constant source of inspiration.
Welcome back! , i love clean art books like these when its just personal stuff kind of deal. I might pick this one up if its still in stock.
Yeah, simplicity is beauty
@@Spiridude true its not like over the top either like it is in some gaming / movie concept books which is kinda more relaxing at times.
Incredible book. Almost as incredible as your beard Thanks for making art books vids <3
Haha thanks man :D
