The motor mounts in my grandsons 09' Mazda 5 are shot. This seems to be a common problem for 06’ - 10’ Mazda's models 3 & 5 . They are known to go bad at around 50K miles. This is not that hard to do yourself if you have some mechanical ability. This procedure is the same through these model yrs.

Oh man!! Wishing you a speedy recovery, brother!! Take it easy and take care of yourself... We'll be praying for you brother!!
Get well soon Randy praying for you 🙏
Thanks!! Big help.
Get a repair kit for spark plugs it’s not really hard to do
Thank you, that’s what I did.
Thanks for this.
Your welcome.
We had one back in the days. Brings back memories. I can see dad on it now 😢
Thanks for the great video. I just got one of from an auction. It is completely dead. I need to pull it onto trailer. Can you describe how to disengage the differential from wheels ? Thanks.
If it’s the same model. It should have a hub in the center. There is two 1/4 -20 bolts (7/16) you take out. And flip the caliper. Then push the shaft inward. That should disengage the drive. I’m sorry but I don’t know a better way to describe it. Others ( smaller ones) should have a free wheel valve.
Thanks a million @@ranflee1
It looked really good ,amazing!!
It did come out pretty good . It’s a shame he didn’t get the chance to enjoy it after the repair. It was never recovered
Use the wire inside a bread wrapper. The bread wrapper is covered in flat plastic. Hold a razor blade at an angle and place it against the bread wrapper on a piece of wood that wont move, pull the bread wrapper towards you without moving the razor, it will strip the plastic off the metal bread wrapper wire. The bread wrapper wire will fit inside of all the different size carburetor holes.
That’s a good choice but I happen to have a welding tip cleaner that I’ve used for years.works great, but the wrapper is also a good way to go.
Good job explaining how to fix a sunglass door
Good job explaining how to fix the sunglass door
Thanks so much for this videos. For those that say you don't have to do this, with certain models of this years of Mazda 5 you definitely do have to do this. There is no way to gain access to the socket without doing it.
I have big hands and changed bulbs. Mine has h7 bulb and the clip is on 1 side. Watched some videos to see what the clip even looked like and used camera on phone to see. It is like a safety pin push in and to side to get it unclipped but hard to do when you cant really see it. It is dumb design but it is doable without doing what you did
That’s awesome. I just could do it.
@@ranflee1 yours is a different design it seems. Not sure what those bulb are hid? Also i was trying to find where vent hose sas on mine because seems like condensation is inside mine. Not sure if the vent is clogged.
I believe it is cause there are some Mazda 5s I can do easily.
Thanks so much! Exactly my problem with my Toro Recycler. Had a similar carb problem with an older one and it’s still running. Great work!
Thank you for your kind comment. I so glad this has helped.
It would be a lot easier to pull carburetor if you take off the cover
That is true
Looks like it was a lot of work
It sure is .
awesome thank you, never done a plastic one
You’re welcome. nothing to it. There are easy

Got a big exhaust leak
The leak was intentional to see if we had a clogged cat. Which was the case.
That jet piece comes apart more, it a 2 piecer.
thanks for the video bro.i bought a new carb for it and it didn't work. saw your vid and found the plugged port.mower runs like a champ now!now if i can fix the new one i'll have a spare .
As a deer hunter myself, love the name. Your very welcome. Glad to help. Also Wishing the Lords blessing on you in the stand/blind this year
Congrats brother!!
Thanks. Just back from camping. Will soon catch up on the latest PSS vid.
Ok Matt I see you working 😂
House repairs
This did work for me. I had a hard time getting the gasket to sit right, but in the end it worked.
👍🏻👍🏻🤜🏻
Love this. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Can the high beam alone be adjusted? asking because my high beams are at the same level as the low beam.
No. They are the same unit . The high beam is supposed to be brighter though.
2311 code is
I can not confirm or deny
All i gotta say is thanks for the video man.... Got it finished thanks to you.. 🤝
👍🏻👍🏻🤜🏻 Hey , glad to help. Thanks for letting me know.
The caliper is thenonly part im not fully understanding idk what to twist exactly
@@sickewos6560 twist the piston while pushing inward. It should go fairly easily.if it doesn’t there’s a problem with the caliper
@@ranflee1 so the black piece ur holdin down you also twist at same time?
Very nice💥
Super👍☝️
The best kind of friends!
You use the clip tool on the clip You seperate the top and bottom otherwise you're just breaking them
My brother gave me this same mower. I got it running but it smokes out of the exhaust bad. Definitely oil. Not overfilled.
That’s a shame, their good mowers.
Thanks brother Used a bread tie with the plastic peeled back
👍🏻👍🏻🤜🏻 that’s great . Glad to help.if possible use ethanol free gas. If not , try not to leave gas get older than a month or two. Use it up in your car or truck and buy fresh.
Why bother with repairs as this Carb is freely available online for around $25.00..it's not a genuine unit.but will do the job..always rinse out the Engine Fuel Tank and container where the Fuel is stored..if there's crap in either of them, it will find its way into the new Carburettor...I rinse out the Tank with Hot Water and Detergent..the same goes withl the Container..dry thoroughly though..trouble might then be fixed...
That’s definitely an option, but I’m a cheap…. I mean frugal Dutchman, and don’t like to spend money when I don’t have to. It’s not a hard job and doesn’t take much time. Spoke with the owner about a week ago and mower still running perfectly
Nice video. I had never done rear brake calipers before. I did not understand why you were rotating the caliper piston to compress it. I found out it is necessary on rear calipers with the integral parking brake. Learned something new to me. I used an 8 inch C clamp with channel lock pliers. It was good to see the young lady involved. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the nice comment. It took me some leaning the first time I’ve done these type of calibers also. I’m an old school mechanic ,use to older vehicles. Never to old to learn .
Yes they work
My problem is that the engine is losing power to cut, could it also be that the carburator is clogged or needs to be replaced??
How old is the mower. Could be a fuel issue (possibly running lean) or could be a compression issue. Check plug first. Light brown or tan color = running ok. White= running lean. Black and sooty running to rich.unfortunately most newer carbs have little or no adjustability. But try a good carb cleaning .
Cool video and cool creation. I love it!
Thanks . I would say though, if you make one be careful. It’s some what dangerous.
Crazy dangerous. Bent crankshaft next.
Possibly, scrap mower anyway
Edit is your friend and ours
Okay
PawPaw on Doing it Cheap TH-cam channel made one of those years ago and called it the deadliest mower. 🤣😂🤣
I will have to check it out. They are dangerous.
Not bad. But definitely dangerous. If I were you, I would weld a plate vertically to the deck in front of the engine as a shield to protect both you and the engine. That monster could easily hurl some debris straight at you. For any others I suggest a mower with a belt drive. That way if you hit something too big, instead of bending the crankshaft, it will only be the blade or the arbor. But I do like this inexpensive approach.
Yes it is dangerous. I was thinking of some kind of shield. My biggest concern was it was spitting out 1 and a 1/2 saplings out the the back. Was worried one was going to catch me in the ankle. Not to concerned about the engine though. Will use it as long as it last. I have more.
@@ranflee1 Maybe take a piece of flat iron, about 1/8" thick and weld several short sections of heavy chain hanging off it then attach to the back. Mower dreadlocks. LOL
HAHA
Good point about the belt drive
I got a New Mower from Walfart a few years ago.. It Lasted 1 Month before the frame Rotted Away All the Way around in that Dip Part where the Engine Mounts to and the Engine Fell Down... Good thing it was not running when it did. Every Mower I got from Walfart, the Engines Die and can Never be started again after just 2 full mowings of 1/4 Acre. They started using Plastic Carbs and the Carbs Melt and Rot or Gum the F' Up because of the Heat and the Alcohol in the Gas... What ever happened to those GOOD Mowers, where you could leave them sit all Winter and next Spring, Prime it a few times and Starts right up after 1-3 Pulls? And Not Rot and drop a engine? The ones that Lasted 10 Plus Years? The Kind that could Actually Handle Grass 3ft High No Problem and Not Bog down on stuff 6in High like Walfart ones? Even with a Brand New SHARP Blade.. Ones where it's actually Worth it to take in and Tuned up or worked on, on those Rare occasions where you did have to take them in? Now it Cost more to Tune/Fix it up than it does just to buy a new one... Oh that's Right... Greed!
Check out my video on Briggs and Stratton plastic carb problems.it might help you out. Don’t have any solutions for decks rotting out and even though it’s Walmart , mowers aren’t cheap any more.
Thank you for the great video! I was just about to toss my lawnmower in the trash until I did this. This was a Father's Day gift from my boys. Ran out of gas, put in clean gas, and then it died. The only thing I would be careful with is the float metal rod, it falls off easily if you remove it. Thanks again!
Glad to help
Maybe you could get further away from the camera when you adjust the carburetor and if you know that isnt the correct way to start it, why show ppl the wrong way? If you knew better youd do better.
Point taken
because this video is not on how to start a chainsaw haha.
