FIRELANDS Heroic Alysrazor 25 (104k DPS) R1 Boss Damage - Affliction Warlock | Cataclysm WoW Classic

Rank 1 World for Alysrazor boss damage for Affliction Warlock at the time of the kill. It was a decently played kill, but there was a lot of minor mistakes that all add up. I expect this to be improved by 10-15k dps, with the main dps increase happening in execute phase because of more procs (4pT12 mainly).

Normal Affliction talents (32/3/6), but you run Glyph of Imp+Glyph of Agony+Glyph of Haunt.
The general strat for Affliction is to open with all cooldowns and use Doom. Once you're in the air you soulburn+summon imp while in the middle and /petattack Alysrazor. Shadow Bolt is filler until you use Drain Soul as filler, which is when you get to high-max haste stacks, or just before that if you can hold a juicy drain soul. You can spam drain soul to proc 4pT12 (20% shadow damage for 8s, no icd). If you have a juicy drain just hold it, instead of spamming for 4pT12 procs. I switch to Agony once my first Doom falls off.
When hiding behind the meteor make sure you don't touch the ground, as it will despawn your Imp/current pet. You can also use Demon Soul: Imp in the air as your 2nd DS for the fight, your 3rd DS will be DS:Felhunter for execute. Once you get 25 stacks, you then have +75% crit and it's worth to recast your dots (except for corr as haunt will update it). You want Felhunter out for Demon Soul: Felhunter for execute, just soulburn it out.
Mistakes made:
- Slow at picking up feathers lmaoooo
- Multiple times I cast another spell just before a drain tick occurred, instead of casting after the tick (big).
- Missed 16th ring stack.
- Not refreshing drain soul with buffs while hiding. Can also refresh haunt/se stacks. (big)
- Not reapplying dots asap once I gain crit buff
- Casting doomguard way too late
- (Raid) Bloodlust too late (big)
- Missed DS:FH on agony during execute
- Losing shadow embrace stacks during execute (big mistake). If we lusted earlier I also would've had a 4pT12 massive succ at 25%.
- More stuff for sure

I don't understand how you stay 100% hp almost all the time. Died 15 times today because even with lifedrain, deathcoil and health stone, each bolt of him takes me 60% hp and I can't sustain more than one minute.
hi mate What do those percentages on Curse of Doom indicate? u use mastery or haste for prio?
The percentage is the damage difference in % between my current Bane of Doom that's active, compared to if I were to recast Doom at that moment. I prio max haste. 17% hit>max haste>round off mastery to nearest % as mastery for pets rounds down still.
Is there any bug on combustion? I see you use one combustion pre-fight and other combustion just after the first finishes. Can u tell me how?
If you activate Combustion during Gunship, but don't consume the stacks, you can then go into Saurfang with combustion active already and use it again on pull.

Hey do you use a mastery set before meta?
Yep. It's a sizeable dps increase for demo lock to use it. It's not useful on a boss like Beth'tilac though, as you aren't doing anything at the start of the fight really.
Can I catch up on gear in pvp and pve? if I have a dk 85, i don't remember the exact lvl, but i've been in the first raids. Thank you!

at 5:25, couldn't you have sniped the adds for decimation procs to use on boss?
I have tried to kill the boss over 10 times now. No problem getting to him but I am always dead by the 3rd add. I have no idea how you managed to kill him so fast. I have watched the video many times, read the hints you have left. Done them all and I still am dead.
Affliction is the way to go and you've gotta have all buffs possible

Edit: And i have a few others "bugs" i guess? When i use dark intent the icon still stay "grey" next to my profil, it doesn't show me the name of the target/the timer either. Otherwise, i don't understand why, but UA still stay grey in the central rotation (like the dark intent icon), it's the only spell that i can't see the timer. I'm really sorry for these mistakes, don't want to bother you at all but this WA seems so great and i'm a little bit sad to not being able to make it works!
Is this new to drain soul at 75 % ? I only remeber draining soul at like 25%, is this new for dmg because of the firelands set or just cata ?
It's just on this specific fight when you hit the 25 stacks buff, it's increase your haste by far so you can spam drain soul, in the others fight it's still only in execution phase at 25%.

Hey Virtu, out of curiousity, based on the start priority, where do you target your haste cap? I can see you run 2200+ haste, so were just curious :)
I just go fully into haste. Priority is spell hit cap first (1742 hit rating)>spell haste. If you're demo lock it's the same, but you also want to round off your mastery to the nearest %, as pet damage from mastery still rounds down, but Meta doesn't anymore. So yeah, hit cap and then max haste basically (as much as you can get).
Why do you use Agony over Doom? Shouldnt Doom be more damage?
Agony ticks scale with the haste buff you get from collecting feathers. He dooms at the start of the fight, and then swaps to Agony once he has enough stacks of the buff to make it worthwhile.

Can i ask u what buff is that with 29m on timer and the one which looks like a red book or sth .The other one seems from ghostlands.
Red Book is a +30 spirit buff from the Love is in the Air Valentine's quest www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=49943/lovely-silvermoon-city-card#reward-from-q It's a daily and you can do the quest every day, even outside of the event, if you can get someone to share the quest with you every time. The 29m buff is just +250 flat hp called Lunar Fortune www.wowhead.com/cata/spell=26522/lunar-fortune, from the Lunar Festival you use a Lucky Rocket Cluster while outside (like on Saurfang's platform).

I’ve been demonology this entire time and feel like I need to build out an affliction spec for this. Between the first small platform having a mind of its own, flying through multiple large platforms and just parking in the middle with half the room aggroed, to none of the loose magic orbs being clickable, I couldn’t manage to get past this phase last night.
It'll probably be easier as affliction. The spec I used is in the description, it's just the standard 32/3/6 pve raid build for aff, but works just fine for this. There's also some tips in the description too. GL and hopefully Blizzard fix the orbs soon.
I tried as aff and ended up completing it as demo, I have no explanation for this...everything points to aff being easier haha
@@Kyte2261 You can definitely do it as any lock spec, I think the only requirement would be to have Felhunter out for the dispel. So playing what you're comfortable as can sometimes be best.
