My name is the Gothic Sorcerer but my friends call me Cheshire. Here on my channel, I do no commentary playthroughs of RPGs but I also play other genres too. Some are new and just released and some are a blast from the past which I enjoyed back in the day or ones I never got to play. I'm not playing games to be the best. I just simply play games for fun. I'm also an original character artist on Deviantart if you wanna check it out.
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect - Part 5 (2052 B&E, You Genius, U-Genix) (PS5) | No Commentary
Finished TimeSplitters 2 and now moving onto the sequel which is TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. This game actually has more humorous cutscenes than TimeSplitters 2 and you don't play as multiple characters this time. Instead you play as Cortez from TimeSplitters 2. This game also plays a little more like a First Person Shooter rather than Golden Eye but if you like TimeSplitters 2, I promise you'll love this game too.
If you've enjoyed the gameplay, hit that LIKE button, SHARE with your friends or SUBSCRIBE for more RPG and other related gameplay. It helps me and my channel out a lot.

I have mixed feelings about Kenny and Sarita’s relationship
This may be of interest to some in refection of very "Real living world indigenous history" That little beaded trinket called The songcord (Na'vi name: waytelem) is a mnemonic device used by Na'vi individuals as well as entire clans for recounting information, stories, and mythology. , "But" one needs to be aware that item is strongly "Reflective" of what a Wampum string is and how its used , Wampum is used, and is "still used" its not a historical relic in any way by a number of indigenous cultures like the Haudenosaune and the Ojibwe nation, it is used to "hold the memories" of important events and agreements" we would write such history down in a book, but in there tradition as a oral history culture instead record it with creation of a wampum string or Belt, so that little trinket has some roots many are unaware off , th-cam.com/video/0DaNMtVANsA/w-d-xo.html , Wampum can have songs bound to them as well,, "Wampum strings " th-cam.com/video/SbvTmDJJLD0/w-d-xo.html , James Cameron was brought up in Canada in a place near Niagara falls right smack dab in the middle of Haudenosaunee territory , So is this also a form of recognition on his part ? I would not be surprised.. The very serious trauma impacted upon indigenous children by the Residential school system , (They took there children away ) is a very serious ethical issue that I hope many people will take the time to look into.
Now this level is actually another one of my favorites in this game. It kind of reminds me of Deus Ex a little bit. It also has one of my favorite characters in this game which is Amy Chen who is an absolute badass. I forgot to mention this game is also slightly longer than TimeSplitters 2. Although it is shorter than I remembered too. Like we're already halfway though the game. I'm sure a lot of you feel that way. You play a game you remember when you were a kid that feels longer but playing them now in your adult age, it feels shorter than you remember. It's probably because of the modern games we have nowadays. They're like 30 hours long now.
Now these two levels are actually kind of cool. You guys remember the zombies back in TimeSplitters 2 in Siberia and Notre Dame? Well, we're gonna be dealing with them in this game. Not just those but ghosts and demons. Basically this is a haunted mansion with a creepy science lab down below. The next two levels after this are pretty awesome. I won't spoil it for you but you'll see in the next video.
No I should mention that some of the levels are kind of a two part level. Also you remember back in TimeSplitters 2 that I mentioned they changed Tipper's voice in TimeSplitters: Future Perfect? Well, you're about to see the difference. Personally I prefer the voice actor in the previous game. For some reason they made him sound like a stoner. I mean I know it was late 1960s but still though, Free Radical needs to make up their minds. By the way, I don't have a problem with people who smoke weed. Just pointing that out.
Fun fact everyone: I actually am half Scottish in real life. Now even though we'll be playing as Cortez throughout the entire game, he does end up meeting some of the characters we played from different time periods as we did back in the previous TimeSplitters games. You can also vehicles in this game. So that's fun.
Now that we're done with TimeSplitters 2, we can now finally move onto TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. Now this game actually plays more like a first person shooter than TimeSplitters 2. The levels are a little longer and it has more goofy cutscenes. Though in this game you don't play as different characters like you did in the previous games. Instead you play as Cortez from TimeSplitters 2 after recovering all the time crystals from the Space Station.
Moving onto the finale of this game in 2401 Space Station. after that will be the end of my TimeSplitters 2 playthrough and we are ready to move onto the sequel to this game known as TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. Funny thing I remember this game being a lot longer when I was a kid. I'm sure a lot of you feel that way with other games grew up playing. I was also kind of bummed that they never made a TimeSplitters 4 but to be fair, Future Perfect kind of threw us an ending that kind of gave us closure on the whole TimeSplitters series.
Recovering the final time crystal in 2315 Robot Factory. Now this is actually the longest and most frustrating level in this game in my opinion. I had to do a lot editing for this. Because the whole area is a maze. You have no idea how much had to edit out my pointless wandering and the enemies are really overpowered including the boss battle. Not to mention you got way limited ammo for your weapons than you did in the previous levels. I'm just glad I got it done and over with so I never I have come back to it ever again. If this level is annoying on the normal difficulty, imagine playing this on hard. That's gotta be really stressful for people.
Doing the second to last level to collect all the time crystals which is 1920 Aztec Ruins. I actually remember this level being difficult when I was a kid but playing it now, it's actually not as difficult as I remembered. I think the only annoying thing I had to deal with were the golems and again playing the game now in my adult age, the golems weren't even a challenge. So this level is not as bad as I remembered. Also it kind of has that Indiana Jones feel.
Might as well get this over with because the next 3 levels including this one which is 1972 Atom Smasher. Though we do get to play as one of the most iconic characters in TimeSplitters which is Harry Tipper. Who is also basically a character you see in one of these cliche spy movies set in the 1970s. Though funny thing is in TimeSplitters: Future Perfect for some unknown reason they changed his voice. Like Tipper sounded more like a stoner in Future Perfect. Anyway the reason why I don't like this level much is because you have to disable 5 bombs before the time runs out and that kind of gives you a lot of pressure considering you get swarmed by a ton of enemies. I just really hate that in video games. But the sooner we get this game finished, the sooner we can move onto TimeSplitters: Future Perfect.
It's high noon somewhere in the world. Welcome to another one of my personal favourite levels in the game which is 1853 Wild West. It kind of feels like Call of Juarez to be honest. Probably gives you a general idea of what is. Like some of you seen all of these movies based on the Old West such as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and The Outlaw Josey Wales. There's also Red Dead Redemption. I kind of wanna do a playthrough Red Dead Redemption II. I have played both of the games but I never had much of a reason to do a series on the games.
I think there actually was a Half Life 2 mod called NeoTokyo. Unless I'm wrong and maybe it was an actual game. Anyway we are now doing one of my favorite levels which is 2019 NeoTokyo. Basically a futuristic city which is actually a lot like Cyberpunk 2077 in this level now that think about it. I mean back there were few first person shooters that were set in a city. Deus Ex was a perfect example of that too. I miss that game. I also remember playing a VR game based on a futuristic version of Tokyo and has cyborg ninjas. It's called Sairento. I did a video of it. So if you wanna check that out, go ahead.
We already traveled to the past. Now we're traveling to the future. You guys remember how people in the 1960s theorized what the future would look like in sci fi movies and comic books? Well, this is what the next level will be. Moving onto 2280 Planet X. I mean think about it, each star out there are different planets, systems and galaxies and a lot of them possibly contain other life out there. Maybe alien races that are more advanced than we are, some probably wanna murder us and some probably as primitive as Humans are. Lots of possibilities.
Next up is 1895 Notre Dame which is actually kind of a cool level because it's based on the story of the Hunchback of Notre Dame which I'm sure a lot of you are aware of. Not only that, I also thought that the harlequin looking assassin Viola who we play as was a pretty cool illustration of a character. I only remember few of the Timesplitters character's names, by the way which is the main character Cortez, Hart and of course Harry Tipper who's basically kind of an Austin Powers character. That's it.
Just a heads up, I'm not playing on the easiest difficulty. I promise I'm playing on normal. It looks like that in the beginning of the video because I accidentally selected easy and I edited it out when I went back to the main menu and I selected normal but I'm sure those who played Timesplitters can already tell the difference between normal and easy. Like different objectives and more enemies spawning. Anyway, moving onto the next mission which is 1932 Chicago. Little history lesson for you, this was the era of bloodthirsty mobsters, private investigators taking down criminals and dirty cops and when booze was illegal. It's kind of a cool level but also a pain from what I remember. We'll be seeing a few those levels later on by the way. Like levels that are just super annoying to deal with. I can't wait until we get to the Old West one. That one I remember was really awesome. It was that, Siberia and NeoTokyo would be my top 3 favorites. There are quite a few awesome levels in Timesplitters: Future Perfect too. By the way, guys actually still own my PlayStation 2 copy of Timesplitters 2.
In celebration of PlayStation's 30th anniversary, I welcome everyone to my favorite game series I grew up playing when I was a kid which is Timesplitters. This game was the best back in my day. It's action packed, kind of humurous and got a great soundtrack. I thought I'd start with Timesplitters 2 first since this has more of a story and cutscenes than the first game. Now since this is not going to be a long let's play, So I decided to record a video after each level. Starting off with the most memorable level in Timesplitters 2 we all know is 1990 Siberia. I think there was also demo of it which actually brought my attention to the game in the first place. By the way, It was actually between this or Yakuza 0 but Yakuza 0 can wait and it'd be pretty good going back and playing an older game. One more thing, since this is not a remaster, you may see some PlayStation Rewind feature from time to time. That's only because the checkpoint system in this game isn't as good as modern games nowadays are. I'll try to edit some of them out though.
Out of all of the outcomes and endings of Solas’ fate, I think that tricking Solas with a fake Lyrium Dagger is the best ending of all. It is poetic that the Trickster Elven God is outsmarted by a Grey Warden/Antivan Crow/Shadow Dragon/Veil Jumper/Mourn Watcher/Fortune Lord.
I know. I always found it ironic that a mortal managed to trick the god of lies. Even Solas respected Rook for that.
Just like how I did two walkthroughs to save Minrathous and Treviso, I used those two walkthroughs to see either Bellara or Neve getting kidnapped by Elgar’nan and to also see what would happen when either Davrin or Harding making the big sacrifice to slay Ghilan’nain.
A shame we never got to fight the Dragon King himself. I would have loved a unique boss fight of him using whatever weapons he has instead of having us fight his pet dragon.
To be fair, he wasn't really that tough. I mean the Arishok back in Dragon Age II was way tougher than he was. All it took to kill Dragon King was for Taash to light him on fire.
The whole choosing to save one of two cities being attacked by dragons was very hard from me. Should I let Treviso be infected with the blight after it suffered enough under Antaam occupation, or should I let Minrathous be taken over by the Venatori? So I decided to do two Walkthroughs, I saved Treviso as a Male Elven Warrior and saved Minrathous as Female Human Mage.
Yeah it's not an easy choice choosing Minrathous or Treviso. That's kind of the thing with most of Bioware's RPGs. There's always gonna be some difficult choices. Also it's good that you decided to do 2 playthroughs. Explore your options that way.
The whole Lucanis/Spite thing is kind of reminding me of Asa/Yoru from Chainsaw Man.
I don't know who that is. I've only seen the anime. I haven't read the manga yet. So just in case no spoilers please
@@GothicSorcerer Sorry about the whole spoilers thing.
@@samflood5631 It's okay. You haven't spoiled anything yet. You just said a character's name. I'm just pointing out that I haven't read the manga in case you spoil something else by accident like a certain character dies or this character turns into the villain or this character hooks up with what's their face. That kind of stuff.
39:35 She might even sound like Voldemort.

Well everyone, if Varric was looking for a closing chapter for his book series, I say this be it. That is it for my playthrough of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. I think it's safe to say that this game is one of my favorite games of 2024. I was just blown away. enjoyed the story, I enjoyed the new characters and return of some old characters and with the updated game engine Bioware made this on, the game itself just looks beautiful. I can't wait to see what the new Mass Effect game will look like. By the way, could you imagine what Knights of the Old Republic would look like on this current engine? I also thought Rook was an amazing protagonist since Hawke in Dragon Age II in my opinion. Not to mention it was really refreshing to play as a Grey Warden once again like we did in Dragon Age: Origins. It was really sad to lose a few companions such as Varric, Davrin and Assan though. Anyway, I really enjoyed playing this game. Hope those of you watched my series did as well.
Got mycopy yesterday and played and for a bit. I loved it! The hair physics ate honetly really good. Just seeing your characters hair (if you have hair that's long) swishing about while running and during cutscenes is quite satisfying for me anyway. And then there's the combat. I actually really live how it's more involved and interesting than just "hold R2 or X" like it was for the other DA games. Thr romance with Harding is honestly wholesome and I think I'm gonna romance her in my playthrough. How long would you day its take. You to get through it? I'm thinking it's roughly the same length as DAI, but who knows.
@@cheeseburger442 I think it's actually a little longer than Dragon Age: Inquisition and I didn't romance Harding until part 13. It's actually kind of the same as every other romance in previous Dragon Age games. Except pretty much all your companions are pansexual this time or so I've heard. So if you're worried about there being a gender barrier or whatever you wanna call it, I don't think that'll happen in this game. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the game too, by the way.
@@GothicSorcerer Nice. I loved DAI, I really hope BioWare can remake DAO and DA2 for current gen consoles..imagine what those games would look and play like now? Plus they remastered the ME trilogy. Also on the romance front. I think I may actually go for Bellara instead. I dunno know why, but I've always liked the smart and awkward types. I mean Liars was my girl in the ME trilogy 😁
@@cheeseburger442 Bellara? Good choice. Yeah there were quite a few characters i'd thought about romancing. Harding, Neve, Taash, Lucanis, Bellara. Of course I chose Harding because I liked her back in Dragon Age: Inquisition. It's like if you chose to play as a Dalish Elf in Dragon Age: Origins and one of your closest friends was Merril which you end up seeing her again in Dragon Age II. Also I'd would love to see Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II remade for current gen consoles but I think Bioware already mentioned they're gonna give their 100% focus on the new Mass Effect game right now.
@@GothicSorcerer I actually have a question. So, I recruited Davrin and chose to save Treviso, making Neve hardened and leave the team for a while. The problem is that I forgot to do one of her personal quests beforehand. The question, or should I say questions are: 1. Can Neve still get the hero of the Veilguard status, and if not can I still achieve the best ending? 2. Will the missed quest become available again, or is it locked for good? It's the quest where she asks you to accompany her to Dock Town and she offers to get Bellara's serials. I'm asking cause Google's no help as there's never a definitive answer. I'm hoping me missing that one quest hasn't mucked things up too much as I really don't want to start again just for Neve.
Prepare for a very emotional series of events. We managed to kill Ghilan'nain but at what cost? I'm sad to say that we have lost quite a few of our friends. Not only that, we were also betrayed by one of our allies. So far this has to be the most emotional Dragon Age game I've ever played so far. Last time we had an incredibly sad moment like this was when Hawke's mother died back in Dragon Age II. Anyway Elgar'nan is still out there and his Archdemon who's like almost the size of the Colossal Titan from Attack on Titan. So this also isn't the final mission. This is like second to last mission in the game but still after this point, you will be locked out of other quests.
So I realized I might not get every city and settlement up to excellent by completing all their side missions but I do know another way. I have a ton of valuables in my inventory and you can actually gain more strength for those cities and settlements by selling all your valuables. I don't think it can just be any random seller NPC though. I think it has to a specific one like the Veil Jumpers merchant, the Lords of Fortune merchant ect. I actually found this out by accident. I'm probably gonna sell them all off camera because like I said, I have a lot. I also have a feeling that the final boss is going to be incredibly difficult in the final mission. So gotta be prepared for that. There are also no more conversations appearing with our companions either. So we've definitely finished everything for them.
As I said in the last part, I'm going to doing a lot of side missions for a while. Mainly because I wanna get all the places like Necropolis, Arlathan Forest, Dock Town, Treviso, Hossberg Wetlands and the Rivain Coast from moderately strong to excellent. I'm not 100% sure if this affects the ending of the game or not but it can't hurt to find out. A few of the side missions are actually related to the main story anyway. So that gives me another reason to do more of them. We also get to work with our old buddy Dorian with one of them.
Finally back to doing some main story missions and meeting again with our old friend the Inquisitor. Reminiscing a little bit about her past back in Dragon Age: Inquisition. It wasn't just her though as I'm sure you noticed. Solas was also talking a bit about his past with the Inquisition. Harding too. I may also end up doing more side missions to gain strength with Arlathan Forest, Treviso, Dock Town ect. because I'm wondering if you approach the final mission with low forces, if it's the key to giving you the bad ending. I mean it was kind of like that in Mass Effect 3. I don't if it's the same with this game but you never know. Most I got up to moderately strong but I'm gonna try and get them as high as I can.
Do whatever it takes
So apparently the last part wasn't the last of our companions quests. So I was wrong. There's still a few more left. Just when I think I'm done, more just keep popping up out of nowhere. It's funny that, isn't it? Anyway, Bellara buried her brother for the last time, Davrin is helping the rest of the Griffons be prepared for the wild now that they're free, Taash has finally discovered the secrets of their mother's tablet and Emmerich has finally obtained Lichdom. A lot has happened in such a short amount of time. Did I mention how much I hate dragons, by the way? Well, We're going to be doing another side mission where we fight one. Though this one wasn't as difficult as the others. It might be because I'm a higher level now and I activated this mission a while back when I first discovered Necropolis.
A lot of woman flirting with rook.
Heh. What can I say? Rook's a romantic.

So there's been a few good endings and a few sad endings for our companions. I kind of feel like Dragon Age: Inquisition had more good endings for our companions. I mean a few of them still had sad endings too but a lot of them did have some relatively good endings. A lot of tough choices you had to make with your companions in this game. It almost throws your emotions around a little bit. Anyway, I think it's safe to say that we finished all of our companions quests now. There might still be a few conversations popping up back at the lighthouse now and then but that's just about it. Other than that, there's nothing left to do except for the side missions and possibly the last remaining missions of the main story.
I actually thought we were finished with all of Harding's missions but there's actually one more or at least, I'm assuming it's the last one. We're also finishing of the final mission for Neve and Taash. Taash's mission actually had more of a bummer ending than expected. I won't spoil it. You'll see what I mean. Out of curiosity, which Dragon Age game is your favorite? For me it was Dragon Age II but after playing this, I'm actually not sure between both of them. This game has kind of exceeded past my expectations. Same with Rise of the Ronin, I didn't know much about it first but it turned out to be way more amazing game than I thought it'd be.
Our first undercover operation as Venatori to save the Elves that have been abducted. Well, technically Neve is undercover as a Venatori. Turns out I'm just a lowly Elf servant. Apparently Venatori don't allow anyone to join them who isn't Human. They're actually really racist now that you think about it. I'm starting to hate them more and more now. I also brought Bellara along because I figured she has a score to settle with the Venatori after what they did to her people. I'm surprised it was only optional to bring her along for this mission.
I'm not sure how long this game is exactly or if we're close to the end. I mean we must be since we're close to finishing off my companion's missions. I'm not saying I'm bored of the game, of course. I'm just curious. I am loving this game so far. That's partially why I play a lot of RPGs because they last for hours. We just finished off the final mission for Lucanis and defeating Illario. I'm kind of curious if I chose to save Treviso first, would Illario still have betrayed Lucanis and the Crows? If I didn't save Minrathous first in the beginning, would someone close to Neve end up betraying her and the Shadow Dragons? I don't know. There's a lot of possibilities here.
Finishing off probably the final mission for Harding, helping her control her powers and another romantic moment in her and Rook's relationship. We actually got quite a few conversations unlocked in this part and a few companion missions done but still not over yet. We are getting close though. I can feel it. By the way have you heard that there was supposed to be a Knights of the Old Republic remake or at least currently in development. I don't know if it's still going to be done by Bioware but they mentioned it a few years back and they haven't revealed any news about it since. If it is still by Bioware, then it's understandable why they haven't talked about it yet for reasons we already know. If it's not, then I don't know. Maybe that other development company has their hands tied with a couple other projects or something. Who knows?
Good walkthrough. Thanks. I like the game far better than I expected after all the criticism. Admittedly, watching a game is different from playing it. But nevertheless I do of course recognize the sometimes rather poor dialogue and other subpar story elements. On the other hand I'm kept entertained and am eager to watch the story unfold. The new design is imo at least acceptable for the most part, at times a lot more than that. So, please keep gifting grateful me with this new DA fantasy experience.
Well, to me it seems like people's positive and negative opinions are mixed. They were like this with Cyberpunk 2077 too when it first came out. Me personally I don't really care what game reviews say. That's why I don't read them. I just play a game myself and then judge it. I don't judge it by it's trailer or trust in the word of people I never met before. If I like the game, then I like it and if I hate it, I just hate it. The sad truth is the internet can be judgmental.
@@GothicSorcerer Oh, yes, it can. Thanks for your reply.
You guys remember that Mayor who I turned over to the Grey Wardens for what he did to his village? Well, we see him again as a Grey Warden and he actually saved quite a few people. Now that's one hell of a way to redeem yourself. I guess it's a good thing I didn't leave him to die. If you really think about it, the Grey Wardens are a lot like the Night's Watch from Game of Thrones. Anyway moving onto probably the most difficult boss battle in this game so far but I bet the final boss will be even more difficult. Fighting two dragons. As if fighting one dragon wasn't already hard enough. But I got a lot of XP for it. So one good thing came out of it. By the way, I heard that Bioware currently has no plans for any expansion DLC for this game. Mainly because they want to make the new Mass Effect game their primary goal now that they're finished with this game. I'm not gonna lie, I am a little disappointed but at the same time I kind of understand because they already did a lot for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. It's good to see how focused Bioware are though.
Let us hope that if there are mistakes that this game has made, they’ll be able to learn from them And the fans can cop on their attitude
