“They feel so down to earth” thats exactly why we all fell in love with them! You should watch their xfactor auditions. They all come from very humble backgrounds. They auditioned individually around age 17 and it was nonstop from then on. It’s kinda crazy. Girls were filling up the streets for autographs while they were still on xfactor. As an American, I’ve never seen that type of reaction on one of our singing shows.

Yes this song was written by Harry as a goodbye song to Zayn! Harry was the first to know that he was leaving the band. Zayn called Harry and the two wept over the phone. Harry wrote this song as a meaning that he understood that Zayn had to leave! Hope that helps!! :)

Also I don’t where that rumour of Harry hoarding the spotlight came from but it’s totally false, it was the media and management that always framed him as the frontman of the group because he was the most popular (and arguably still is). Everytime an interviewer would ask him a question directed to him like “why do you think girls love you so much” he would always make sure to respond with “we” “our” and “us” and he never tried making it about himself. I think his attitude gets lost in translation because he wanted to pursue a solo career, which was totally in his right, but he’s always given credit to the boys and 1D for getting him where he is. He dedicated his Grammy to them also.

I love Zayn but some of their best songs ever were without him! Walking in The Wind, Temporary Fix and What a Feeling are absolute TUNES.
