How do you use the grain with free version of davinci? And also are you able to use 10 bit footage in the free version?
I’m using the grain from Dehancer, and yes, you can use 10 bit footage in the free version.
Nice Job!
Thank you!
never miss!
Thank you dudeeee!!
Wow this is amazing, which camera? Please reply!😊
ZV-E10 with Tamron 17-70 :) the last 20 seconds is with the kit lens :)
Captivating shots and composition!!
Thank you so much! 😊
12:50 which is which though?
A mix of cineprint35, filmvision ii, dehancer and davincis own 2383, I’m not going to tell which is which though, because that kind of defeats the purpose of what I’ve been saying :)
Super calm frame bro, keep doing vids!
Friend, you chose the worst lens possible! It is sharp and fast, but it has no character! What kind of video shooting? When they shoot a movie, they choose optics, filters, and apply loot. The only thing you can fix is to buy an on-camera monitor and apply loot to your clinically clean video. There is a program called Dehancer that imitates Kodak film. Take the loot from Kodak and apply it to your video, I think maybe something will work out. And Sony and Canon are a photo direction, Panasonic is a video direction. Next time you decide to shoot a video, buy a Panasonic!
Did you watch the whole video? He stated towards the end that he wants to try out more cinema/video oriented lens. That Tamron lens is probably the best jack of all trade lens and the price is reasonable.
@@elliscofield9756 yes but he bought it to work, but wants to try others. I'm telling you they can work but without loot it will look bad no matter what light he uses. In cinema the main thing is the script - idea, light and only then equipment. You can shoot with this but of course if there is light, then the G9II is better than nothing, especially since there are Laova speed boosters for 300 bucks. Convenience is the main thing, speed, but everything for the implementation of ideas!
@@ggdfggdfgdffgfddg34 loot 😂😂😂😂
@@ZeroGravityDesignStudio Well, this is a good camera for video, but it’s very expensive; it’s better to buy a C70, believe me, you will thank the camera more than once when you don’t need to screw in ND filters. And the dynamic range of the C70 is higher than the FX3, and there is also less noise and the C70 can write in Raw lite, but this is overkill. The Panasonic s5II costs $1,700, which is several times cheaper and more convenient than the Sony! If you have already purchased FX3, then you can also work with 3 people. You are a camera operator, a focus puller, a lighting designer and a cool script writer. Without light, a movie won’t work; a movie is a production, not a live filming. Focus puller will force viewers to focus on the things you have chosen.
loot, (I'm Russian-speaking, translation difficulties) this is lut adjustment to the image.
The last <insert whatever> lesn I'ma get is like an alcoholic saying it's the last <variety> drink they're gonna get. A year or two tops, mark my words. Same with bikes and other subjects of people's passions. Ultimatums are always foolish
Creative framing of the video
Thanks so much, man! I really really appreciate you :)
Hey mate, thanks for the video! I've watched all your videos and they’re truly inspiring for aspiring filmmakers. I'm about to buy my first semi-pro camera, moving away from my iPhone to achieve a more professional look. I'm torn between the Sony ZV-E10 and the ZV-E10 Mark 2. I don’t have any technical skills yet-log footage, 10-bit vs. 8-bit, aperture, f1.8, colour grading, lens differences-but I'm eager to learn. I have enough budget for the ZV-E10 Mark 2 with a kit lens, or I could get the ZV-E10 with a better lens. Are there other cameras in this price range with similar image quality that you recommend for videography? I'm not afraid to spend a bit more for a better camera that will last as I learn. When I master the basics, I still want the camera to be sufficient and capable of delivering a professional look, like the FX3. I want to use this camera for a long time without needing to upgrade. What would you advise? Thanks a lot!
I start with ZV-e10 and this lens, and later on I have brought A7R5 and ZV-e1 and just sold E10 last week. For starter I highly recommend you get e10 with this lens first and understand what you want first. Later on you will know what you will need in your path😊
I recommend the new Sony A6700
Hey man, thanks for your kind words! Honestly, a used ZVE10 mark 1 with a lens like Tamron 17-70 is pretty good for starting out. You can always sell that when you want to upgrade. A6700 is really good from a value standpoint, but I still think for beginning, ZV-E10 is a better choice. I get your idea with professional level quality and stuff, but like I’ve said, starting with the zve10 and then selling it and upgrading if you really want to pursue this career is I think the best option. Alternatively in this price range there is also Fujifilm XS-10 and XS20, which you can find a used XS-10 for about ~700 without the lens though. I think they are both really great for starting out, and at that point, the question becomes, do you want to stay in the Sony system or Fuji system. I hope this helps :) if you have any more questions, do let me know :)
Love the idea, bro! You have so much creative potential, and it's a shame not to share it with the world, there are always people who can learn from you and be inspired. Keep going!
Thank you so so much! You just made my day :)
Crazy stuff! For me personally, I just call all this "Turning on my Fuji" haha But jokes aside, very interesting video!
Hahahaha that was good!!! 🤣🤣
how do i get the powergrade u used for resolve fpe
I just used Davinci CST to Cineon output with some adjustments and turned it into a LUT, but it's not something i've made publicly avaibale *yet :)) But you can totally use CST and it would get you there 80% :))
Are you using kit kens ?
Yes that’s right!
@@ZeroGravityDesignStudio sir I am planning to buy this camera only for Instagram reels , could you please tell me that kit lens is enough for Instagram reels or should I upgrade ?
It’s totally enough!
@@ZeroGravityDesignStudio thank you so much sir , settings is same as you shown on this video ?
@sagarjoshi8095 yesss!

Do you mean film stock? This was a bit of everything, but mostly 500T and Ektachrome.
That overexposed window looks very cinematic:)
Very intentional choice :))) thanks!
I discovered this channel while looking for videos about the sony zv e10... and I fell in love with your content! I find you and your video very relaxing and your stuff visually pleasing! After a lot of research (and thinking about it) I feel like i finally decided to buy the zve10 mark one since it's 557€ (body only) and I think I'm gonna pair it with the Tamron 17-70mm for 615€ ...do you think it's a worth combo to start with? I'm looking forward to follow you and your journey, keep it up! <3
Wow dude… Thank you so much! Means a lot :) I definitely think that is the way to go! I just got the Tamron too and it’s amazing 🤩

Thanks so much :)

Hahahahaha honestly, I might as well do that too
amazing amazing amazing. Lots of love from Australia. I would love to see how you colour grade because im in love with this specific style
Thanks so much :))) I used CinePrint16 and FilmVision II for this video. Here’s my video about those :) th-cam.com/video/4747zAZyc08/w-d-xo.html
My problem is that every time I use Slog2 or Slog3, the colors on the screen keep changing. I'm not sure if it's because of the 8-bit Sony ZV-E10 or something else. So, when it changes, I'm not sure if it's due to the ISO or something else. 😢
If you mean the colors on the ZV-E10 screen, that is not a problem, you can turn on gamma display assist and it will show you how it would look in Rec709. But in general that is not a problem, as soon as you turn that SLog gamma into the normal Rec709 in your editing program, everything will look normal :)
@@ZeroGravityDesignStudio Thanks for your reply. I will try to check the settings on my camera later. I'm also worried because I'm afraid my camera might be damaged or something.
@BoyWithPlans how does it look on Davinci with CST?
If you can do you have a video of your camera settings?
Hey, yesss I have a video about the settings right herre in the link :) th-cam.com/video/_DQTLyBY-W8/w-d-xo.html
Hey! Just one thing you don't have to map the Color Space & Gamma for HDR Wheels as they are already mapped only if you want to use the primaries.
Oh, that’s good to know, thanks!! :)
Is it necessary to own the studio version of Davinci to take full advantage of the Cineprints Powerluts or does the free version work aswell?
Free works as well, but the grain will not work.
Noise Reduction, Grain and Dust nodes will not work. You may switch them off and use the others. The Halation node works which is quite important to the look.
dude! had no idea the looks and the print nodes had further configurations in them! learned something new today!
Thanks!!! Glad I was able to help :))))
please drop a color grading tutorial
Here you go man! th-cam.com/video/4747zAZyc08/w-d-xo.html There is also a lot more in my channel! :)
can it used an lut in zve10M2?
You can probably export a LUT using Davinci Resolve, and import it into the camera, but haven't tried it myself.
@@ZeroGravityDesignStudiookay thanks
Why does the image look a little grainy?
I put some extra grain on it :) the image out of the camera is really not super noisy!
Hello there, I truly enjoyed what app we’re using on the iPad ?
Hey, thanks so much :)) I was using the Monitor+ App on the iPad
Does this powergrade show what it does in every node. I'm interested in learning how to get the look.
There is a detailed explanation with the PDF guide Tom provides, but other than that, turning it on or off helps a lot of to understand what’s happening :)
Do you use any filters?
Generally just an ND filter (just got it about two weeks ago) but other than that one, no! Every filter-like effect is being done in post-production :)
Awesome video. I feel like i'm not getting the same quality of image that you get (Sony A7IV, Tamron 28-75 f2.8). How important/how often do u use ND filters? And do you get maximum quality out of your camera?
Thanks so much! I just got an ND filter about two weeks ago, highly recommend it, allows me to still shot at 2.8 while not blowing out the image. I think the image quality is mostly two things: are you shooting in good light, and are you post-processing your footage to cater it’s needs, while knowing the limitations and strengths of your camera. I spent a lot of time understanding my camera (ZVE10 mark i) that is what my recommendation would be :) And, yes, I do get the maximum quality out of my gear, but like I’ve said, it comes down to knowing the capabilities of it :)
@@ZeroGravityDesignStudio great advice thanks sm!
Love your film emulation philosophy that you talk about at 10:50. I think the strength of CinePrint35 is not just the look, but the value. You get so much for a reasonable price!
Thanks so much! 100% agree
Don't like!

Hey, man thanks!!! This is till the ZVE10 Mark I, though :)
@@ZeroGravityDesignStudio That is so sick! Clean shots. I've had this camera for a while now. The only downside compared to the FX3 for me is the color getting distorted after heavy color grading. I thought this was the new one because your coloring is super nice here.
Heyy what limits will i face if i use film vision v2 with my free davanchi resolve, btw great content
Hey, thanks! Other than not being able to use the built-in Davinci grain, there are no limitations :)
This is really helpful!
Hey, man thanks!!!! I really really appreciate you!
That is nice portrait video
Great tutorial, I have a question. SInce you switch the color mode to ITU709 Matrix. Does that mean there's no need to use Color Space Transform and just grade it like Rec 709? What is your color grading process in Resolve?
Hey, thanks! You still need to use it. But now your color space is REC709, and your gamma is SLog2 :)
What picture profile are you using? Do you color grade? It looks amazing! Is there a way you can show us newbies how to get this look?
Hey, I was using Slog2 with ITU709 :) thanks so much!!! I was using CinePront16 for this one, I’ve done a couple of videos on this, I’ll paste it here for you :) th-cam.com/video/4747zAZyc08/w-d-xo.html
