this is magnificent
❤️
Still. in hope and prayer for peace
Thank you! this is an anthem for our times!
we sang this song attempting to accompany the kesiya family back to their land in al makhrour. their home and restaurant has been destroyed by the israeli military four times.
It was lovely hearing and participating with this in person at Tashlich. It is incredibly calming.
I have loved this song for some years -- so gorgeous! Wonderful seeing you all singing it! Thank you, Batya. 🙏 By coincidence, I had already decided I'd be singing this with my Singing Mamas group this month. 🥰
This is very beautiful. Sure wish I could see the English words so I could understand the song.
if you check the description you can find the translation in there!
Beautiful!
This is so uplifting!!!
Wonderful uplifting and beautiful energy . Made we want to get up and dance in my living room . Thank you .
The parts are 🔥 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Love to hear more Sephardi sounding scales like this ... like Kedmah! Luv the music that Rising Song Records releases! Thank you, Batya:)
oh, yessssss!!!! Thank you Hashem for releasing this absolute banger today!!
God bless you, Batya and Joey!
So beautiful, moving & soothing! Thank you!
So beautiful
Love the spirit of this Jewish Gospel music! I’m hopeful for the Jewish people going forward, and how we must count on each other to survive as our best selves.. BUT this concept is totally lost on the Palestinians, especially now, and to dovetail this into pro Palestinian protests instead of vehement anti right wing Israeli activity seems misplaced. A free Palestine by their prescriptive and baked in the cake idea that Jews don’t belong in Palestine includes no Jews, dead Jews, from river to the sea. Once again, history takes a hit. Hard to reconcile.
Beautiful!
Incredibly talented Batya' wrote this after returning from Standing Rock at the height of the Dakota Access Pipeline protests (ongoing to date). Universal and timeless #BeforeOctober7th
Gracias
This is the Judaism I was always looking for. Intersectional, radically inclusive, antizionist, antiracist, and truly embodying our values of justice and healing the world.
This is so lovely 🥲
Can you send me the lyrics in hebrew
your work is so incredible and this song is just so astonishingly, just... the words to hold the scope of beauty and holiness do not exist in the vast limited grasp of english. this is the sound of the olam of tiferet stirring in its last years of slumber and concealment.
we going to sing this sat. on our march in totnes.. devon, uk...thank you so much...so uplifting, emotional
Bravo 👏 heard this today in a shopping centre in Belfast at a Palestine 🇵🇸 protest it brought me to tears😢 @freepalestine 🇵🇸 🇮🇪
The joy I needed right now. Thank you!
Excellent!
Piekne glosy i atmosfera. Dzięki
This song played maybe 1/3 of the way through, first time it came on, before I decided to pull over the car, restart with lyrics and give full attention. I teared up as I have constantly been watching the Palestinians under attack. It brought me to tears. I did not know associated with the protests in any way. I am happy see comments of that nature, but also just to discover this artist. I assume they allow the song to be used. If that is true, this is a very, very courageous young person to.stand on principal in this hostile climate. By the sound and meaning of the song, I will assume that is true. Song reaches into hearts and unravels the complicated with purity. Excited for more, thank you for what it has given me.
This song brought tears to my eyes. Did Batya Levine write the lyrics or is a traditional hymn?
It's original lyrics, primarily inspired by the Native and Indigenous led resistance I witnessed at Standing Rock as well as my own Jewish tradition and other movements for liberation. So grateful the music is resonating with you.
@@batyalevine6283 It's beautiful. I've participated in If Not Now actions where we sung We Rise and I noticed the Mennonites singing it at their ceasefire sit-in last week but I didn't know the origins. Hearing your rendition is extraordinary powerful and provides me comfort in strength in a dark and bewildering time. I am grateful for your voice.

Am thinking of sooo many remix possibilities, dancehall reggae, rap, techno... Artists make it happen!
Mashallah its not about religion we are human.
This song has been uplifting me as it makes me cry each time I sing it as loud as I can... thank you.
I love this song it just fills me with so much feeling and hope. Hearing it makes me cry with emotion
This is the song I will sing in my heart and with my voice. So much love and gratitude for this precious gift. thank-you
I can’t get this knot out of my throat.
I feel you
this song is giving me strength and connection this night 🌳may we all continue to rise up to create a kinder, safer, more whole world for all of Life!
I came from tiktok. The Jewish community was using this song in the protest for Palestine. What a beautiful and meaningful song it is. ❤
Me too!!! Sounded so powerful, had to come check it out. Beautiful song.

In the face of the current polarization in our Jewish community during this crisis, Batya, you plead with us to rise above the divisiveness, and the labeling, and join together in hope for justice.
♥
I have had this in my head ever since I protested for Palestine with JVP last month. Life sustaining words. Palestine will be free 🇵🇸
