Gulf fishing out of Crystal River for Trout and Mackerel
Flip flops? Flip flops! Flip flops!!! You cant do that in flip flops!!
But i did
I’m afraid to screw something up. Is it this easy?
Its pretty easy to do. Just take your time. Make sure you replace everything you take off. Im Definitely not a person that's mechanically inclined so I did it. I think you can do it too. good luck if you try it on your own.
I have the same truck, you think this would tow the 23ft pathfinder just fine?
Don't forget to change the filter too.
You missed the alignment of the anode before removal
I did look at it before removal. But I didn't make a comment on it. Because the new one doesn't matter without the fin. It only fits in one way. There's no fin to detect tracking.
I have some 135 lbs snap swivels should those be fine or should I got up
I think those will be fine for a number 4 or under. If you go larger, you might want to go to the 200 pound.
Can you use worms as bait for fishing ? What did you use ?
Not sure Worms would do very well for crabbing, but Worms would be good for freshwater fishing. But I used live shrimp to fish with from the dock.
Appreciate your videos Ed💪🤠🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🇺🇸
Thanks so much. I do appreciate you viewing my video. Its been a while since ive been out, life and work stuff, keeps me busy lately. Hopefully ill be putting new content out here soon. Tight lines...

This is on my list of places to fish this summer. Enjoyed the video
Where did you get your antenna mount for the bimini top?
I got both at the Bass Pro Shop in orlando
Nice clean channel. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks for watching the video. Im trying real hard to put more content out but work and life have been keeping me way to busy. Its been 4 months since ive been on the boat or gone dock fishing. Hopefully soon ill get a break to go tight lines
So it's hard to tell exactly, but the lower unit There is a small bolt that has a square nut that fits into an inset. that square nut. You have to put in to that inset before you screw. The screw in or the screw has nothing to hold on, to. That's what I'm doing at that point i believe. The nut fell out of the hole when the bolt was taken off. Hope that helps.
Help!! The bolt that you start to take off at 4:12 in the video… what is that that you grab with your other hand.. is there a nut back there that needs removed? I just completed this service and that specific bolt won’t go on… is there a nut you’re catching there?
Also, that small screw with the square nut is very small. Probably only a 1/2 inch long max.
great video thank you. very educational. I think I am ready to tackle this on my own after watching this
do i need a saltwater or freshwater fishing license for fishing from one of the piers at the crystal river?
Yes. You just need a salt water license for crabbing and fishing on the public docks. However, if you fish around kings bay and catch like a bass you will need a fresh water license too if you intend to keep the fish.
Hey Ed! Nice video. I’m new to Crystal River and stumbled across your page. Tight lines 🎣
good day to you and thanks for your view. welcome to crystal river. crystal river is some of the best fishing you can do, if the wind holds down...lol this year has been awful to get off shore with the wind. if you have any question or anything i can help you out with let me know. tight lines
What's the spark plug part number?
To be honest i dont know. I just went to my local yamaha dealer and he set me up with them
This is awesome!
Good fish, man!
Thanks. Definitely saved the day. Was delicious too. Thanks for watching
where is this?
It's in Crystal River, Florida on. Golf island beach road from US19. You make a right go down about 4 Miles until until you see a city brown sign that says for the boat ramp on your right hand side.
That's supposed to be Fort island not Gulf island.
Good work, nicely done. 👍🏾
we're from Crystal River , How far did you end up going ? how deep was the water the Bonito was caught in ?
I only went out about 8 to 10 miles from the mouth of the river. Water was 22 to 25 ft.
Dolphin Fishing is only a shell of what it used to be 25 years ago 😥😥
Were we are only have to go 3.5 miles for 200ft we would run out 20miles 1000ft++ and catch 30- 35lb bull Dolphins all day long... After 10 or 12 more fish we were catch and release? Any thing floating like a palm tree or wood pallet would always have a huge Wahoo on it..
Thats one expensive fish because my guess it is at least 30 miles each way??
Was only 16 miles off shore. Fuel cost was about $50. To $60 dollars.
Good video 👍
Can only fish with two rods at one time per person I believe...look it up to be safe
I checked with fwc. They say theres no limit on how many rods you can use from a pier. Thanks for your comments. Tight lines....
If we only fished on the good days we wouldn't get many days to fish !
Nice catches
Ty not the best day fishing but better then work...lol
@@oceandeepfishing4555 for sure!!
I’m by no means a professional fisherman, but have targeted mango snapper for years, and you would have caught many more using the shrimp as live bait, not dead! Hook them under the horn where it meets the head, ( be careful of the grey spot you’ll see, that’s the brain), and the shrimp will stay alive a long time. Also, tie lines (leader and braid) together using Alberto knot. Using no swivel and the smallest hook, (#1) will produce many more fish. Mangos will hit dead bait, like your shrimp were after threading them on the hook, but they strongly prefer LIVE BAIT! I live in Titusville myself, and have fished that spot by the raised part of the Trussell, many times, and have literally loaded the boat with them! Hoping not to sound like I know it all, just trying to help! 24:26
Could have placed funnel next to container hole, and Yamalube is okay oil.. but the dye in it keeps warranty in good standing, although Yamaha does allow other oil to be used. Amsoil is the choice of the smart boater.
That prop looks really small for a 200
Thats from the manufacturer and paired for that motor. So far i have no complaints with it. Good out of the hole and plains quick.
Hi, What kind of electronics box do you have on the boat? did it come with the boat?
I have a simrad 9. And yes it did come with the purchase of the boat
I have pulled many of boats and other heavy trailers with a Tacoma in a 4 cylinder paired with a 5 speed manual transmission. Lots of torque in 4WD Low
Next time you’re back this way, I just moved onto the tomoka and you can take my boat out and make any videos you want
Thank you for your generous offer. Most appreciated. Im hoping to get back that way soon to do some crabbing and toss a line in too. Tight lines....
Can you kindly show a more detail tying of that knot. I can not get it slide to the swivel. Thanks
THANKS FOR WATCHING. ILL SEE WHAT I CAN DO TO MAKE IT BETTER FOR YOU. ITS PROBABLY JUST THE WAY YOUR PULLING THE TAG END THATS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. ALSO THAT THICK LINE NEEDS TO BE WET TO HELP IT SLIDE.
SO THE KNOT I USED IS CALLED THE UNI KNOT. THERE ARE A LOT OF VIDEOS OUT THERE ON THIS KNOT. THAT MIGHT BE THE FASTEST WAY FOR YOU TO SEARCH TH-cam FOR A VIDEO. IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY LUCK LET ME KNOW AND ILL MAKE A VIDEO ON KNOTS. THANKS, TIGHT LINES...
Thank you, very much appriciate your work on this subject @@oceandeepfishing4555
Nice video.
Don’t ever pump gear oil in with the top screw tightened. You can blow out the seals. FYI
This is a great video. What I do I give it a couple extra rapid pumps with the screw out, pop the upper screw in and then the lower. I blew out a seal one time pumping in a little extra with the top screw in. This video is super informative. I’m baffled why people pay thousands to have this stuff done. Your step by step will really help a lot of people.
Hello cap. And i can't believe that they placed a limit on the baracuda, they are multiplying fast and they eat all of our fish Mahi are hard to get but next time cap.👍⚓️
The pace that the dollars were going up was stressful 😂 but always worth it to go out
yeah!so best ,
Your wife told me about your gardening. She had a lot of great things to say about it. I will check it out and show my support..
